I love the dollar store. Family Dollar is well kept, things are organized, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Of the different dollar stores in the area, Family Dollar is a little higher priced on some items, but overall, no complaints here! Plus, they're open later than the others, too, and that's great for me!!

Smells awful when you first walk inSmells like cigs.Cashiers love to visit at register talking about bars, with a long line. The store usually looks pretty nice.

Was in this location today to grab a can of "Easy Off Oven Cleaner" was only in there for 3 minutes, got to check out and went to leave. Upon leaving the door sensor goes off, I stopped and explained to the cashier that the safe at my job is an auto vend and my key is a magnet so it tends to set off sensors if I carry them, and being I was working I had my keys on me. She said nothing and I proceeded to head to my car only to be chased across the parking lot by the cashier Jean! She stated "can I check that easy off to make sure it doesn't have a sensor on it" I say ok she takes it out of the bag examines the can and sees there is no sensor she puts it back in the bag looks me square in the face and say's "Are you sure there is nothing in your pockets" I stated "No I don't need to steal anything I'm the GM of the store across from you I make $80,000 per year I don't need to steal" to which Jean Says "I need you to empty your pockets please" I then proceeded to empty my pockets in front of the store and explained to her at the same time I Am The General Manager of the store across the street from her as I'm in full uniform. After emptying all of my pockets she found nothing AS I DON'T STEAL she walked away no apology or anything. I find this a major security issue 1. I paused in the store when the alarm went off to ensure I was ok to go 2. she followed me to the parking lot to confront me 3. She illegally searched me and 4. if I really was a theif she put herself in danger for following me out of the store. what if I would have had a weapon. But to be honest I feel profiled not pulling the race card because I am mixed, but I'm also embarrassed as I was basically called a theif and searched while in uniform in front of other customers and I'm upset as I utilized this store very often for supplies when my store tends to run short as their products are better quality than dollar tree next door but it looks like I will be making Hy-Vee my new to go place. Very dissatisfied with how the interaction today went at this location.

They have a sign that said open at 9 but make people wait outside. If that’s not the time they open they should change it it makes people loose their time. If I could give zero stars I would. Very disappointing.

Purchased a box of Nature’s Granola Bars and got home opened one up, and it was very stale. Took the receipt and item back to the store, and the lady working there was extremely rude and told me they don't take food items back. I explained that it was stale and had a bad taste, and she said again we don't take food items back just because you don't like the taste. I couldn't with her it was hard arguing with incompetent individual who truly didn't understand customer service. If I could give it negative stars, I would.

Never shop here the staff is rude but one person, the older Lady! You cannot return anything! The clerk Danielle claimed I stole $5 shoes when I tried to swap them. I assume they are racist too. Because I could not even get a store credit with a receipt. I have watched this lady be rude to other people also at check out! Apparently the corp office does care either!

I love this family dollar. They are always well stocked and very friendly. They have a bunch of kids toys and of course my kids love that, its in walking distance and there's not a lot of traffic. Definitely recommend this store.

They need to put their return policy ON the receipt, not in tiny signs behind the register or vaguely scattered throughout the store. If I would've clearly known their policy I wouldn't have purchased the item I did. When I asked the manager if there was anything she could do she said no, that she apologizes, and walked away. Definitely will not be shopping here or any Family Dollars anymore, VERY dissapointed!!

Today I go in and I have a small bag of popcorn from Family Fare right next door. I walk as I need a few things. I see they have a sale on some left over Mother's day item's. I'm thinking I'm going to get some of those for gifts I need. Then wham the lady at the front desk says popcorn is not allowed in the store?When did popcorn become a problem? I suppose I might have dropped a popped corn onto the floor, then they might have to sweep up today?Or maybe I could of squeezed a candy bar into my 2x3x6 inch bag and some how swiped it.Oh well I thought about throwing it across the room into the trash, accidentally spilling it all over the floor, whoops.But no, I did what any red blooded American would do, I took my popcorn outside. All the way back to my car (about a block, limping on my bad knee). Where I hopped in and drove to Taco Bell for lunch.Sorry I can't return here, it would be a bad principle to ever return.

Friendly staff.Normal cheap stuff. My wife and I come here from time to time to load up on cheap things to send to people we know in the Philippines.I think some items here are cheaper than they are at grocery stores.... So if you're a bargain shopper, maybe check it out and compare prices. Very reasonable prices. However, there are items that seem priced equal or higher than other cheap items at walmart. So...shop carefully.

I suppose the prices are slightly better than other stores. Not exactly sure. But in my opinion this store is too crowded and I find that on more than one occasion the staff members didn't seem to care much about serving customers. Maybe I was simply there at poor times of the day?

Just opened so some inventory is still missing but they have a wide selection of cleaning products and seasonal items. Friendly and helpful staff.Seems they are going to recycle the old 108th street phone number and store number to this new location.

They double charged m,y card with cash back and wouldn't give me my cash back the refused to refund me. they are very rude and i had to wait at the counter for almost 10 mins while i waited for two employees to finish smoking. RUDE
