About a month ago I went in and bought a few things and was double charged for my daughter's underwear. I went back the next day with my receipt to get the matter resolved but because the manager wasn't there the cashier wasn't allowed to give me a refund. The hrs they usually work, I'm at work myself and I'm not mobile so it's hard catching the manager. I had to take a loss on my money because of this. And this is also the 3rd discrepancy I've had with this sore concerning my money...ugh

Bought over $100 in stuff, wanted to pay with a hundred dollar bill & have $4 charged on my visa, cashier does that transaction backwards, she charges $90 on my visa and takes the rest out of the hundred, which messed up my bank account. I asked her to fix it she refused. Next day I decided to have my relative take a couple items back about $10 in stuff, he was rudely told no return and no refund for clearance items. He came back out to car rather upset about whole ordeal so I tried to go in and return a rug that wasn't a clearance item but should of been because the package was opened and item was damaged and was told no return , no refund.We bought a rug that was opened out of package, charged $8 more than rug cost price on shelf because the employees went back to rug isle & took paper from another rug to ring up. Next day, we changed our mind about $30 plus tax rug, that was supposed to be $22. along with a few other items we decided we didn't really need. Big bossy manager , who I felt threatened by the way she was screaming at me, giving me crusty stares, she acted like she wanted to fight me or pounce on me, she came screaming from clear in back of store to front "nope I am not returning that rug, you opened it". I told her we bought the rug opened go look on your camera footage, "nope no refund, no returns". At this point I became very frustrated because rug was opened on shelf when we bought it & not only did she accuse me of opening a rug that I didn't open, she refused to do any refund or return plus screamed at me in front of everyone in store very loudly and very rudely. Then she stood there starring at me until I left the store, she was probably disappointed she didn't get to attack me physically. I wanted to buy a movie and something to drink but forget that I wanted to get out of this store before big bertha attacked me.This manager needs fired right now! This isn't how a manager treats a customer that just spent a couple hundred dollars at your store and wants to return an item they changed their mind on, plus it had a snag, weird smell and no where in store does it say they don't do returns, actually if you look on website it says (returns are accepted within 30 days).We will not be returning to this location to buy anything ever again. This whole store is a hot mess, with prices being altered and changed, nothing labeled with correct prices. Cookies we bought were rock hard I didn't even ask to return those after getting screamed at for 10 minutes no return no refund.Manager isn't following the rules for returns, manager isn't professional at all. Employees are outside chain smoking and putting cigarettes out on the store walls. We want an apology and we have already wrote the Better Business and disputed the charges with our credit card company. Managers actions is not how you run a business! If you read the reviews this manager seems to have quite a few complaints. Get rid of her before she attacks a customer for trying to return a simple item.

Went to the store at 8.35 AM. The cashier was smoking outside and said she would open the store once she was done with her (special) cigarette. Even though the store open timing said 8 AM right in front of her face, she wouldn't let me enter.

The manger with the gold grills is very unprofessional wants to fights customers u til she sees your not scared to defend yourself told me I couldn’t shop to but I wasn’t banned then after I told her to call the police to solve the issue she wants to act like it me until they asked her the same thing I WAS ASKING FROM THE JUMP and did all this at her last manager job with Popeyes on 30th she’s 30+ needs to do better

This is a bad store hate it! Never had this problem with any other store but this one we pulled up 10mins before closing 10/closing we tried to call the first time they didn’t answer the 2ed time the guy answered very rudely “WERE CLOSED” and hanged up on the sign it say “close at 10pm” my question is if it closes at 10 they are they closing early

Don't trust the prices as they are marked. I bought 2 packs of pop tarts and 2 sodas as they were marked 2 for 4 on the pop tarts and 2 for 3.50 on the soda. I after they were rung up I asked the clerk if it was the prices as marked he said that he didn't know. I paid and looked at my reciept and I was charged regular price on everything I pointed it out to the clerk he just said have a nice night.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!! I wish I could give 0 stars. There is a Family Dollar store one block from my house, but I come to this location because I LIKED it better. But not anymore. When I came in the store the other night, I heard the female clerk tell the manager that since there were not many customers in the store at the time, she was going to take a break and smoke a cigarette. I didn't pay much attention. I kept shopping. I picked up several garden items from a display that was marked half price. When I got back up to the front on the store (still shopping) I hear someone trying to get my attention. So I look around and the girl that was on break is now telling me I need to leave my purse up front. I am immediately irritated by her because I didn't see why I was being singled out. I told her I didn't steal anything and she knows this because I was on camera. She said it is company policy, and she said she didn't see me when I came in (I wonder why) or she would have said something sooner. The manager (a young male) greeted me and said Hi when I came in the store, but he said nothing about my purse. I had some more shopping to do and I didn't want to argue with the girl. So, against my better judgement, I left my purse up front while I grabbed more items. Several shoppers came in after me with purses. I never heard anyone request for them to leave their purses or bags up front. I felt I was being harassed. I am ready to check out now. She started ringing up my items. None of the garden supplies are ringing up half price. I stopped her and asked are the discounts going to come off at the end? She said they should come off. We get to the end and she looks to see no savings came off and she looks at me and says "Oh well. It's not coming off. Do you still want it or not?" I said "Yes I still want the items. Why is the price not changing?" She said "I don't control what they put on the shelves and what is marked down. Management does. So either you want the stuff or not?" I said "You are being very rude what is your name? I need to speak to your manager." Then, I noticed she had on a dirty Family Dollar shirt with no name tag. The manager ( also no name tag) hears us talking and came up to the front and he says "I ain't giving out any names either. The sign says se-lec-ted items. Everything is not half off." I couldn't believe the rudeness. He price checked one of the items and said "Yeah. Not all items are on sale." I wanted to know what items could I get on sale, but he acted like I was irritating him and his staff I asked him for his name. He refused to give it to me. I told him to put everything back. I didn't want anything now, and I asked who do I call if I have a complaint. He said "Call corporate." Then, he told me to leave or he was going to call the police because I am now harrassing HIM and thank you for shopping and have a nice day. He said "If you don't like the service, you don't have to shop here." I said "your service sucks" and he somehow called a security guy that was sitting in the parking lot like I was a threat. I said "I can't believe you called security for me! This kind of stuff must happen all the time at this location because of your rudeness. So you get rude with people and then when they get rude back or angry, you call security or the police and make up lies." The security guard tried to "clean up" the situation, but I told him it's not what you say, it's how you say it. He said he sees this bad behavior all the time. I recorded a video of the rude manager and the female clerk who was taking another smoke break when I left the store. The manager said it was against the law for me to record in the store and he tried to grab my phone. The security guard did nothing. The manager said "Make me famous". Forty minutes I will never get back. I went to the store by my house and immediately found the manager of this store to tell him what happened at 1500 N 24th St. He shook his head and said "I hear complaints all the time. I would call corporate like he said."

Gloomy atmosphere. The employees do not interact with customers unless you speak 1st. I see why the turn around rate for this location is so high. I went in the other day so I could purchase a few items to get cash back. I politely asked the cashier if I was able to get cash back which she replied sarcastically "no we're not able to." So I told her thank you as I did not purchase my items and was leaving. She's nodding her head dramatically with a fake smile saying um hmmm ok as if I was agitating her. Fyi in the future hire customer friendly people not passive agressive people who bring their problems to work.

The staff is very rude and has a bad attitude. The managers are the rudest of all the staff, the managers put the customers at risk by chasing shoplifter out of the store and following them home, and recording them with their phones. I can't believe the way that they argue amongst each other while customers are right there they all need to be retrained.n need I say more.

The manager was absolutely the best person I've ever met since I've been in Omaha the treatment was top notch. I even insisted to pay more because of his great respect towards making my day go smother. Nope. No sir. Wouldn't except it . True hero. , and in the famous words of Andy Griffith don't that just beat all. Many a blessing to all who pass thru

This store is so convenient but when the assistant Mr Slay is working he is rude to customers and I even witnessed him harassing some teenagers waiting outside sidewalk. Whilst the transients sleep in the same area. He called the police and tried to lie. He told a customer if the item is not priced he would rather throw it in the trash than sale it to her. He needs customer service training

It's a small, slightly dingy store, but very well maintained considering the area. Staff is friendly and helpful, and you can't beat the prices. My only real gripe is they are commonly out of popular items, but considering everything is only a dollar or so, it's expected.

Asked me to leave my "oversized" purse up front. Oversized is a perception if you dont have a size limit. But my expensive bag is not being left up front, find a better way to secure your store if it's an issue!! Wont EVER return to this location!!!

Very professional atmosphere there at Family Dollars at 24th and Hamilton along with the very professional atmosphere for me they put me in the mind of everyday people they were paying a lot of attention and taking care of business I have visited this Family Dollar quite a few times in the past and it has goodness way the whole time they're also very helpful

Let's begin with Christopher Cox who is clearly an employee. 3 five star reviews for one place? 3 different accounts. Lol ain't fooling no one. This place is disgusting and run down. Everyone in line including me were using EBT. One cashier even when it's busy. Needs shut down. Employees are rude and racist.

I grew up going to this location as a kid and loved it. Now ive moved back in the area again. And go there as an adult and I always loved it, but usually i dont make a list and know all what i need so i take a little while to shop and i always go here for everything i need. Then one day i walk in and they start talking about oh this guy takes forever hes the one with the boyfriend and just making disrespect and extra attention to me which i dont appreciate.

Cashier had a foul mouth. I dont mind on a personal basis but my 4yr old was with me amd there were other children around aswell. Not perfessional. Althought a mice gentleman helped me out on finding what I needed. Thanks

Someone stole my sister's detergent. She needs that to bathe in! Unbelievable! And they wouldn't replace it even though she had the receipt! I felt horrible for her! Be wary here, folks!!

This location is right down the street from me and it is awful long lines and one cashier the store isn't stocked like it should be and the customer service sucks I dread going in there at times they must do better plz!!!!
