I usually enjoy a spontaneous trip to Cubby’s to grab a quick treat, but my last visit left a sour taste in my mouth. The shocker? An $8 price tag on a pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream! In a world where convenience should mean quick and reasonably priced, this store seems to miss the mark entirely on the latter. The astronomical price hike on a widely available brand is unjustifiable and frankly, exploitative. While the store was tidy and the staff decently friendly, the blatant overpricing of basic items like ice cream ensures I won't be returning anytime soon. Shoppers be warned: your wallet might feel a lot lighter for a lot less after a visit here.

The location is sketchy at night. I wouldn't eat their cooked food, and I've never seen their soda fountain nozzles off for cleaning; mold easily grows in them.The fresh grocery items seem good and last a normal amount of time. I buy gallons of milk here and they taste normal.Boxed/dry goods seem fresh enough; cereal, spaghetti sauce, snacks, all seem good.Frozen goods in the cases, this is questionable. Closed package items like Jimmy Dean's Breakfast Sandwiches had freezer burn inside the package. To me, and I do not know if this is fact, but that means they thawed a bit and condensation/moisture got inside and refroze. I didn't care for the taste of these and they're an item I've eaten from other places (years ago) and enjoyed them.It's a convenience store, so it is very expensive. A mid-size jar of Hellman's mayo was ±$10 ... I left that on the shelf. The small individual sized Marie Callendars frozen microwave dinners, ±$6.That said, I work 70 hours per week at times, and I appreciate them being open nearly 24/7.

I just had some Godfathers pizza for the first time cheese 🧀🍕 and it was amazing nice and perfectly toasted the cheese melted so good i would choose this pizza over any competitor of Godfathers any day. Definitely doesn't taste like gas station pizza. I enjoy that this place has everything you need. Prices are very reasonable this is unlike any other gas station and I loved the Old market feel.

Terrible place, I worked here for 3years and they rather choose to keep lazy workers and the management is horrible they don't know what they doing I had to many conflicts with customers but nothing beats the people that worked there so many good people left because they rather keep people who don't know how to do the job. The person Jr who is shift lead is not a good leader doesn't work and throws tantrums to the boss lying about people and gets them fired. Please is garbage, food is gross and everything is overpriced on purpose. The food you eat there is cooked on old oil they have flies all over the drink station and in the dish pit where they serve the food. Wouldn't recommend going there or stop cause other than that customer service is terrible. Im pretty sure some of the workers are drunk or on meth.

Came in to eat breakfast and use the restroom and I'm in the bathroom no more then 20 seconds and an employee pounds on the door most employees seem like they have bad attitudes. Their Customer service really needs help.

This is my favorite place to go! I stop in maybe every other day to get some breakfast and even though I do nothing to make myself particularly memorable, they treat me like I'm very memorable to them! Robert has gone above and beyond for me, without me even asking and the cashiers have never been anything but kind. I can't remember everyone's names, but Betty is so wonderful and Meaghan is always awesome, just to name a few. The whole store has a unique community/neighborhood market vibe that I don't see anywhere else.

This place is AWESOME!!! It's a convenient/grocery store and Cenex Gas Station, plus they have Chester's Chicken and Godfather's Pizza. They are open 24/7 which is really nice. If you're in The Old Market, check this place out.

The basic description on this location of what a Cubby’s is (something like “gas station and convenience store selling fried chicken and deli sandwiches”) is probably right for most of their locations, but this place is completely different! They are a complete grocery store, small but with a wide variety of expected grocery store items, including fresh vegetables and fruit, dairy products, condiments, baking supplies, and a full meat counter with things like steaks, fish, shrimp, marinated chicken. They apparently even make their own brats.If you live in the downtown area, you know it seems there are no convenient grocery stores, but this one looks like it will be just fine for 90% of my grocery needs.Also, I had great and friendly service today from Traci and JR.

Not open 24 hours. Just walked 9 blocks on the coldest day in recorded history. Update…. Tried to show up again inside their their hours and they changed it again for “cleaning”. And apparently they keep a bunch of cops on hand to harass people that show up to their “24 hour store”

NOT OPEN 24 HOURS!! It’s a lie, I work late swings and need groceries- stop by and guess what?!? Closed until 3am! I guess 24 hrs means except when we arbitrarily close during the night. What a waste of time.

Staff doesn't know how to void cash transactions. Asked them to break a $20 I had just pulled from ATM for change and pay for gas with card. Employee became confused, ran the transaction as cash, and refused to void the transaction saying it couldn't be done. What was worse was that there was no apology, they bad-mouthed me in front of customers, and pressured me into paying with the cash I'd just pulled out of their ATM with a service charge. I don't buy it for a second; they teach you how to void transactions first week on the job. Terrible experience.

I came into cubby’s this morning around 2:20 am. An I had my bag with my belongings in it. An the African American older guy I believe he is the janitor there. An he was staring at me an giving a weird look an he had his metal cane with him. I’ve seen him waxing the floor an he didn’t have any problem walking then. I felt real uncomfortable. An then he turns around an goes back around the counter and tells the I guess the owners son that works there. That I was stealing. So the owners son tells me that I need to leave my bag in the front of the store. He didn’t tell me that when I first walked in the store he waited in tell like 7 min after I was shopping for my items. So the owners son told me if I don’t leave my bags in the front I have to leave. I never stole anything from that store. I’ve always paid like a normal customer. But I won’t be shopping there any more. They price there items to high. When u can shop somewhere else an get them cheaper. So I advise people to tighten up on there spending at expensive stores like cubby’s.

Good place for sundries, groceries, meat, and produce. Cubby's selection is a tier just above of what you'd call a convenience store. So if you don't have time or the will to cross the river or all the way to Elmwood for groceries this is a great place. It is downtown though, so even though they try, there's lots of loiters. Be careful at night.

This is pretty much my neighborhood grocery store and I shop here 4-6 times a week. The prices are a bit steep but they have good brands. I like to buy the salmon and pork from the prepared meats sections. They have amazing baked goods and donuts. Excellent selection of drinks and snacks. There's always something entertaining happening if you go in late on the weekends.

I am a regular at this location. I have seen nothing but professionalism and amazing customer service from Traci. I assumed she managed the store. She should!!! Take care of her management. She’s a keeper!!

Was a customer since 1999. This afternoon I was threatened with physical harm from an employee because I didn't leave my backpack at the front door. I couldn't finish shopping at that point so I just paid for what I was able to get. I don't feel safe going to Cubbys at this point anymore, if the manager on duty wasn't there to call off the employee I may have been forced to defend myself.

This is a nice convenience store, but they have a ways to go to be as good as QuikTrip. Cleanliness is average, coffee is not always ready like you wanted to be. They have good food in the deli, even though I only get certain things. They have some nice garlic honey chicken tenders. An excellent choice of desserts. A good selection of liquor also. Hell, maybe even got a good selection of items for those concerned about nutrition. It's a combination grocery store and convenience store.

I stopped by Cubby's on Thursday 12-09-2021 to grab a quick bite to eat .I went to the deli and I ordered some spaghetti 🍝 and meatballs. However the garlic bread 🍞 wasn't very good 😕 and it was dried out and stale. Hopefully those who work behind the line will make sure that their customers are always served fresh ,hot food all of the time.

It is a convenience store so everything costs a lot more, which I get. The poor rating is the quality of the stuff we bought. For example, we bought cheese from the deli counter, and it was clearly old. The provolone was hard at the edges like it had been sitting out too long. The taste was also less than fresh. I wouldn't say that I am excited to return to this place if I ever get back to Omaha. Overall, it seems like the food offerings in Omaha are less than quality and this place went right along with that.
