I've been taking my dog Gus here the last few years for his check-ups. The vets and staff are so always kind and helpful. My pup gets anxious meeting new people but they are so patient with him. I've seen a couple different vets/assistants here and my experience has been great across the board. The pricing is also lower for services than the vet office I went to (in Lincoln) when I first adopted him. Definitely recommend Best Care Pet Hospital!

Took my 5 month old puppy here to get Spaded. During surgery her heart stopped and she stopped breathing. They claimed that they got her back in time, but she was already neurologically damaged. We took her to urgent care ,They pretty much said that she was brain dead.. We had no choice but to put her down. She was suffering. This is so heartbreaking. And what a joke you think it's going to do me. Any good to talk to your medical director LOL? You got your money. That's all you guys care about. Just like one review, I saw it should be horrible care. Not best care for your name. You cost us between you and urgent care. Almost $3000 just to have our dog put to sleep We truly can't afford an expense like that. But we had to do it for her own good. She was suffering because of you guys and you killed her.

Dr. B is good with bunnies! I needed an exotics vet closer to home. My bunny had to get his tail amputated as it was fractured. The staff was very kind to me and the bunny, took good care of him and kept him overnight to make sure he did okay. He came home and ate a treat immediately, they never made him nervous and they said he ate quite a bit while there which is normal for him.His movement is already faster than a couple days ago but I can tell adjusting to having no tail is a bit odd for him.He came home happier and that's a sign of a very good vet clinic!I could have used an update throughout the day since he was there a while before they got to him, but I think they were a bit understaffed that day. Just call they will let you know what's going on. Staff is all kind and respectful to humans and animals.Thank you for helping Harry!

I love this vet! We've been taking our dogs here for like 20 yrs. We used to goto Heartland in Bellevue but they did some shady stuff that was more money focused than pet care so we switched and never looked back. We have no vet preference because they are all amazing. Dr B. saved my Boston Terriers life when he decided to chew up and swallow an entire rope tug toy. Another vet recommended a shot that changed our Boxers entire quality of life for the better from chronic itching. My parents even switched to this vet with their 4 dogs because of us. I will never ever go anywhere else! Best vet in the Omaha metro area!

The staff are very considerate.My dog gets very nervous about going to the vet but everyone I've interacted with at Best Care is very patient with me and my pet. They take the time to explain what's going on and ask what options I want to take.Sometimes I get emotional when sending Lainey in for surgery or other procedures. No one has ever made me feel rushed or like I'm inconveniencing them. I cannot recommend Best Care enough!

My mom’s 4 month puppy coded while getting spayed but they were able to bring her back. They told her “her breathing and heart look good” and “she’ll wake up soon” failed to catch that something was neurologically wrong with the puppy. My mom took her to urgent pet care and they said she was in critical condition. She ended up having seizures about every 45 minutes and they said she was most likely brain dead. She died less than 24hrs after the procedure.

Been taking my pets here for years, not anymore. Was quoted a price for spay/neuter, take them in and it's now double. Mind you I received the quote 2 weeks prior to their scheduled surgery. Lost a day of pay for nothing. I asked if they'd be willing to take what I was quoted plus some and I'd pay the remainder in a week (which I'd done in the past), told no and she turned around and walked out and told me to have a good night. It wasn't just me you lost as a customer, the 5 people I know go there you lost, that's just in the 2 hours I've been gone. I already found another vet that got them in, without having to wait another 2 weeks and this vet was accurate. Was treated rudely and lied to, it's a shame after all these years, but I won't be back.

I took my dog here for the first time today for dermatitis. They were knowledgeable, friendly, very reasonably priced, and exceptionally patient with my very defensive dog. We will definitely be back!

Strongly recommend this vet for both common pets and exotics. They've been wonderful with our birds! They don't charge very much at all when our conure goes in for his nail trimmings, and they're always very careful with him. When he broke his leg near the hip, we weren't sure if he'd be able to properly heal, but he made a full recovery thanks to Best Care. When our finches passed on, they were compassionate and helped give us closure. Incidentally, their cremation services are inexpensive and they offer a lot of different options.One story I really have to tell is about our cat. When we brought him in for his annual rabies vaccine, they noticed he was underweight and that he had greasy fur and immediately recommended a blood panel. It turned out he was suffering from hyperthyroidism. They prescribed him a daily medication, and he's been taking it ever since. He tolerates it so well, too! Best of all, it's a topical cream rather than a pill, so it's easy to apply and not at all invasive. Best Care works with an online pharmacy to give us his refills, so we don't even need to call or go back into the office to re-up his supply. Everything gets mailed to us monthly for a discounted price.Our boy is so much happier and healthier now. The thyroid test was a service they absolutely didn't need to provide us, since it wasn't even part of our reason for going that day, but they suggested it anyway because they genuinely cared. I don't doubt that they added several years to his lifespan by doing this for us, and I'll forever be grateful.

I am always able to get appointments in a timely manner and there is never more than a minute or two wait when we arrive. Pricing is reasonable and the service is awesome! My pets have needed a few surgeries and after each one I received one or more phone calls to see how they're doing after I've brought them home - once even from Dr. Howard, from his home, on a holiday weekend - which meant the world to me! My big dogs and I are grateful for the great staff at this clinic!

I take my Pug, T here. He got a surgey done to widen his nasal passages and remove soft pallet tissue so he could breathe better through his nose and mouth. It worked even better than expected. I trust Best Care.

Best Care Pet Hospital is one of the best vet experiences I have had for any of my fur babies. They handled my kittens neuter, and when it was discovered that he had a physical deformation they handled both surgeries to fix the issue. They were VERY kind anc courteous, had a lot of empathy and were very professional. They gave me an estimate and kept the price within that estimate for the surgeries even though it ran a little more complicated than expected. Hands down I will go see them again in the future if ever needed. I cant say enough about how much I appreciate the entire team there!

I recently became a new client here. My dog got a nasty ear infection and my normal vet couldn't get us in for more than a week. She needed to be seen. So my mom told me how my aunt loves this vet and they got us in the same day. I absolutely love Dr Howard and the staff is super friendly. Clinic is clean as well. Now this is my vet for my babies.

Compassionate veterinarians and staff 💕 We had our kitten, Ms. Frizzle, in a few times for an upper respitory infection and an eye infection. The vets didn't keep charging us for follow up visits only for medication. We are so happy our baby is feeling better and we will be back! We were also able to get in last minute when our Ms. F wasn't mobile - thankful we got medicine in her asap! 💕

I would highly recommend this establishment, they really took time to understand my pets needs and have me options of what could and what needed to happen, yet not wasting my time. I was happy that I was able to be in the private wating room with my pet to make sure she was not scared or nevevous more then she already was. I felt the Price's were the best for what I was provided with and the feedback that I was given and the time they really took to make sure they had all the information correctly before telling me the facts that needed to be stated.

Update: The dog they saved passed years later. After she passed we finally got a Staffy puppy. Cute little dude who chewed everything. At 18 months old, he swallowed a piece of Kong ball and needed immediate treatment. Called in the a.m. to get him in ASAP. Nope, not til noon. And they wanted cash. Upfront. Arranged for, but they needed it first. [We have always paid immediately at every visit for all our dogs.] So now they put him on surgery schedule. He is now in serious distress and no one will listen. They carry him to a kennel.That's the last time I saw Buddy alive.Called us an hour later to advise our dog expired during surgery and did we want to see him.Rushed down. The dog had been prepped for surgery and left to lie just as he died.There was no remorse, no consolation. Business as usual for them.I no longer recommend or refer anyone this establishment based on the above. Draw your own conclusions. Changing 5 stars to 1.PREVIOUS REVIEW:Very knowledgeable, caring folks. They saved our pitbull's life. Good care.
