Last year, I had Aj's come out and install large stone steps in my backyard. They did a fantastic job, and got so many compliments. So called them again this spring to do more work. They brought in large boulders and rocks instead of building a normal retaining wall, and did the mulch work as well. Always careful about the yard and surrounding area. I could not be happier. I am impressed with their commitment to quality work, and to their customers. I spoke directly to the owner before starting and during the project. The crew communicated with me on different things as the work went along, to be sure it was what I wanted. They go above and beyond to ensure their customers are pleased. AJ and his crew excavavated, installed and finished our 40x16 fiberglass pool and patio extension. They have an amazing process and a diverse knowledge in what was a large scope of work. His crew accommodated my need to corral a 100lb dog every evening through construction....not exactly convenient. My family will enjoy there end product for years to come. AJ only wants it done one way, the right way. He is not afraid to walk away if your desire is anything but.

AJ’s was the only company to provide a detailed estimate of goods, labor, etc. AJ was transparent throughout the process, always upholding promised deadlines. He walks you through the process, gives you options and his communication is the best I’ve seen in companies I’ve hired. His team was professional and efficient, finishing a large project quickly. AJ took our 60 year old limestone dilapidated wall to a multi-tiered, visually appealing retaining wall. The work speaks for itself with a sturdy retaining wall, sure to stand the test of time.

My wife & I had a large tilling/grading/reseeding project after having our yard trenched to replace the sewer line. Jarod was very responsive and easy to work with. No thanks to another company, this was behind schedule by a couple weeks, but Jarod scheduled it within the timeline we discussed. The workers were careful and thorough. My only (fairly minor) complaint is that I wish they would have graded/contoured the loose dirt more evenly/consistently, but there was a lot of ground to cover, literally and figuratively. Perhaps4 1/2 stars would be more appropriate, but I'm "rounding up" to 5. Thanks, Jarod!

AJ Landscaping buried my downspout under my sidewalk and next to my driveway. They arrived on time and worked until the job was finished. We agreed on completing two downspouts and at the last minute, I asked for a third one to be buried which he ended up doing for no charge. I appreciated their flexibility.Service: Yard drainage

Had AJ’s come out to install a drainage system on the side of house. Can’t say enough about them keeping us informed on the process and attention to detail. Had one area that needed to be adjusted and they came out the next day and fixed it. They even added mulch in the areas of the down spouts and we didn’t even ask for that. Will recommend and refer them to others as well.

We had AJ and his team come in and do some yard drainage for us as we moved into a new home 8 months ago. The back yard was not draining correctly due to the grading done along with our sump-pump constantly running into a level place. AJ did a great job in communicating from our first phone call to listening to our needs with a quote and design, and then the follow through and work. We had AJ and his crew put in a retaining wall for us. We had water issues where before had left us with super long drain pipes that we had to remove every time we would mow. They integrated the drainage into the wall and now we don't see anything, and it all drains beautifully. This is the second time that we used AJ's Landscaping and we were just as pleased as the first time 8 years ago. The current job involved replacing three retaining walls and deepening the swale for water draining between us and the neighbor. The work was very professional and progressed at a fast clip with numerous crew members. AJ himself stopped by the site almost every day. The crew members were very friendly and tidied up nicely at the end of each day. Their final cleanup was very thorough. AJ willingly and quickly processed changes. We just had AJ's team out to put in our patio and fire pit. They did a tremendous job. The guys were very helpful. They answered any question we had, and everyday they made sure the yard was clean of debris. We are very happy with how it all turned out. We are loving spending a lot of time on the patio. We had 2 french drains put in along the sides of our house because we had soggy, muddy side yards. AJ's team who installed our drains was fantastic! From the estimate to starting the project, everything was thoroughly explained and all of our questions answered. They worked quickly and knocked it out in a day and a half in awful heat and then rain. Just a great crew and great job. I'll for sure use them again for future landscaping projects. Yay for no more soggy, muddy side yards!

We had AJ's install some drainage tile in our yard this fall. AJ responded promptly to my request for a bid and kept me informed regarding the schedule for the work. The drainage tile was installed as agreed and damage to my yard was minimized. The guys did a nice job of cleaning up after the work was completed. We had AJ's install a new Limestone wall at the house we are building, AJ's crew was very prompt and showed up during the window of time that they were slotted to complete the project. This was huge as it allowed us to get our sod and sprinklers in before the frost. AJ personally showed up each day to help and ensure the job was done right. The wall looks great, in came in at budget and was overall a very smooth process. I would definitely hire AJ's again.

We have hired AJ's landscaping multiple times. They have completed both hardscape and plant beds around our entire home. The designer took the time to understand and help us modify the plan and plants to meet our budget. We have them come back out to maintain our property and help with any drainage issues as well. We had AJ's install a paver patio and bubbler fountain feature at our new house about a year ago. They did a great job. I was impressed with how fast they worked and the politeness and friendliness of their workers. We have really enjoyed our new patio with the fountain. Also, we had a couple other companies bid on the project, and AJ's was very competitive in price, much cheaper than one company whose ads you hear a lot on the radio this time of year. We plan on using them again for other projects down the road.

Hands down one of the best landscapers! From the excellent bid to the amazing customer service I received from the Foreman Jeremy the dude was very professional. A lot of companies come in and tell you what you should do Jeremy took the time to listen to what we would like done and delivered 100%!!! Not very often a companies foreman will text with you sometimes at 9pm to make sure everything is how you want it. Him and his crew did an amazing job at the house we just purchased where the landscaping was completely not taken care of, they spruced it up made it pop and now it has a ton of curb appeal!! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for any type of landscaping. Extremely pleased as a consumer! Thanks!

There aren't many trustworthy contractors but thankfully AJs is one you can rely on. I had a small leak from my retaining wall into my house. Instead of trying to take my money and charge me to fix something AJs provided options of how I could do it myself.

Wow could not ask for anything better. AJ and his crew did an amazing beautiful job on my water drainage basin. Assembled everything to perfection and sodded the grass to cover the dug up areas. The landscaping around my deck and pool looks amazing. They took their time. Showed up when they said they would. Crew was friendly and explained everything. Beautiful work guys. Look no further than AJ's Landscaping for your water drainage needs! I found AJ's through Google Reviews and word of mouth. My backyard used to have a pool, and after drenching rains this summer, our water drainage was less than ideal, leading to a lot of pooling of rainwater on our (now dying) grass. I needed someone with experience to take a look at my backyard and give me their expertise on how to improve the drainage. I asked for a bid, and I promptly received a message from AJ. He came out and visited my property, and I received a VERY competitive bid within a day. AJ and his team completed the project shortly after I accepted the bid, and I was most impressed with AJ's vision, how easy it was to get ahold of him, and the quick completion (without compromising or cutting corners). My yard is now complete! I was so pleased with the work that I also got bids on a new driveway and patio. I look forward to work with AJ and the team again in the future!

I have used AJ’s Landscaping for two years in a row now. I was having awful water runoff issues (leaking in my basement), old retaining walls were falling, and my concrete patio was a mess. AJ’s Landscaping installed French drains around my house, sank my downspouts, replaced my patio and retaining walls in my back yard a year ago. Since then, I have received numerous compliments on the beauty of my patio. I just LOVE sitting out on my patio and drinking a cup of coffee. It has become a little oasis! However, I am MORE excited about what people can’t see. There has not been a drop of water in my basement since AJ’s installed the French drains. They provided me with something that others couldn’t, peace of mind. Fast forward to a year later, I decided to give AJ a call again but this time for my front retaining walls. The previous owner had installed the walls themselves and very poorly. AJ met with me at my house and proposed a solution. He addressed my frequent questions patiently and timely. The work AJ’s did on my front retaining walls have had my neighbors complementing their work as well. And again, I am even MORE excited about what I don’t have… ice on my driveway. With a North facing home, this has been an issue EVERY year since I bought my house. However, AJ’s did a wonderful job of again sinking my downspouts and creating retaining walls that are beautiful AND functional. I can’t recommend this company enough!

Well they came out but never sent my estimate.Update: well after leaving a review they called me and left a message explaining so I was going to come on here and fix my review, I did I lowered it. I had called 5 landscapers for bids and this company was the only one who didn't send their bid, expected me to call them for information. All other companies had their bid in that day or the following day but please feel free to try and make excuses and act like you didn't forget about me. Now instead of me increasing the review rating it got lowered good business policy, don't worry about sending me your bid anymore I'll go with one of the other 4 companies.
