What a great stay. Perfect location to enjoy the lake. We had a wonderful view of the lake with our morning coffee. Super comfy little cabin. The cabin was Very clean, freshly painted, brand new air conditioner. There’s a picnic table and fire pit/grill right in front. We wished we could have stayed longer. There’s a really nice little store across the street where you check in and out. Excellent service. We can’t wait to stay there again!!

The staff is always friendly and work hard to keep customers comfortable and satisfied! The cabins are conveniently located next to their convenience store that is open long hours so you always have what you need even if you forget something at home! The new owners have made some great updates to the cabins and the convenience store. I have to say - having a School Bus Coffee Shop on site during the weekend is pretty nice too 😉 I love the people and I'm lucky to have business located next to them!Nearby activities: The lake has lots of activities, kite surfing, boat rentals, jet ski rentals, paddle boardsFood & drinks: Convenience food, also staples, convenient coffee bus on Saturdays and sundays

We’ve stayed at the cabins twice, and enjoyed every minute! The cabins are nicely renovated and so clean; the space was perfect for my family of 4. The view of the lake is gorgeous; the cabins are just a short drive to the sandy beaches. The owners are so hospitable and kind, and know how to take care of their guests. I highly recommend these cabins!

First off the lady running it was very nice but with this said the place needs a bunch of work. The tiny cabin floors were filthy we had two damp bath towels no wash clothes one small hand towel and a tiny shower towel. Put it on the floor and it is filthy when you pick it up. The coffee maker didn’t work you can’t hardly get in and out of the 24 inch square shower past the sink. The air conditioner sounds like a 747 jet rumbling the walls all night. There’s bull burrs all over the place. Table out front about to fall apart. The cabins are above the parking lot with a 4 1/2 foot rock wall and 3 access for 8 cabins cut down in the wall with about 8 steep steps hand formed no hand rails you have to be half mountain goat to get up and down. One other couple staying there one of two nights we were there they were in there 85 plus range they had to almost crawl up and down on all fours.this place has a view of the lake but is one step above a dirty tent. They charge $120 a night and i would not give them the $240 we paid for two nights to buy the place. Word to the wise bypass this dumb and stay in town

Very clean cabins, good hook ups for campers, great little community, family friendly. Really great staff and high quality products. It was cooler the weekend we were down and they offered long sleeve Lake Mac gear! Great views!Food & drinks: They offer a really great mobile coffee shop on site! Saved By The Well

What a great place! We stayed the night in our 38' motorhome through Harvest Host. I'm posting here because I thought my comment would get lost in their 100+ Harvest Host reviews :)The new owners were super helpful and easy going. They have five sites, each with its own brand new water and 50/30 amp hookup. We opted to pay the requested $20 for hookups which worked perfectly. The spot was nearly level, had to block the front levelers, but set up was quick and soon we were enjoying the view over the lake. If you don't want to unhook your toad, just let them know when booking as they have a site that can work as a pull through.The new owners are updating their cabins and totally restocking their general store. They clearly have a vision and are working hard to achieve it. We wish them the best of luck and will definitely be back!!

We had an absolutely fantastic five day stay! The new hosts are continuing their splendid efforts and succeeding on every level!Their hospitality is top notch and the location simply cannot be matched.We have stayed twice and are planning our return now, an indicator of the black belt level of hospitality we received was that our first visit was in the middle of winter. Totally off season and we were accommodated in fine fashion, a cabin ready and waiting for us during a late season snow storm!The list of good things is long, cabins on the water, on-site general store with absolutely everything one needs, including gas (I got a View Master😊).The Spillway Bay boat ramp is right down the road, as are the Welcome Center and the dam itself.The lake is spectacular and Kingsley Dam Resort is simply the best wayto visit.

Headed home back to Ohio on a long rv road trip out west. We were looking for a place to stay that was quiet and had a view and this little gem was the perfect place to stop. We stayed through Harvest Host. We were the only ones there, and the owners were great at communicating with us and super friendly. You can’t beat the view. We just wish we could have stayed longer. If we ever come out west again, we would stay here again!

Keep it up Kate and Serg… this is a nice place to stay. The little cabins are “big enough” and the bigger ones are really nice. Unbeatable views of Big Mac especially at sunset.

Cute place. Closest you can get to lake Mac without a trailer and it's wonderful. Cabins have great views of the lake and amazing sunsets. We stayed in cabin 11 and it was so perfect with a kitchen and full bath. Cute little picnic table for each cabin sits just outside your door and a fire pit shared between every two cabins. Met kind people and super staff at the store on property. The beach rivals Mexico- white sand and blue green waters. This place is next level.

My fiance and I spent a couple nights in cabin 11. We were greeted by the new owners who seem fantastic. We had stayed here in the past and was even more impressed at our latest visit. The property has seen considerable improvements and renovations since our last stay. Cabins are clean and comfortable. Come see for yourself.  The views and location can't be beat!

This review is so late due to anything and everything that can go wrong with our new home is going wrong but had to write a review because this place is awesome!!! We were traveling cross country, 2000 miles with 3 dogs and decided to come off the road and give our dogs a break for 2 days. Called Kate while we were still on the road, she was so friendly and welcoming. We had the best time!! The resort has such positive energy and we visited with other guests that were staying there as well. They have the most comfortable beds and pillows that we had the hardest time getting out of bed LOL. We will definitely drive back from the east coast, again, with all 3 dogs because they had just as much fun as we did but for a week this time so we can take advantage of all the activities. Thank you Kate and we will see you again.

My wife and I stayed in one of the cabins for the weekend. Great location with unbeatable views. Cabins are cozy and rustic but seem to have had some recent renovations. Exactly what we wanted for a lakefront cabin feel to get away and relax. Close enough to town that if you needed something or wanted to go in to dinner it wasn't too long of a drive. There was water access and a boat ramp just down the road if we had brought our boat and wanted to do some fishing. Also there were beaches close by. The new owners of this place are very hospitable and friendly. This was the first time we have stayed here and will definitely be back.

We have been coming to these cabins for years. Happy to say, there is new ownership. The new owners are fantastic and a pleasure to have greeting you when you arrive. They have been putting a lot of time and work in to make what was already the best lodge on the lake even better. The view of the lake is unrivaled. Easy, close access to docks and beaches. We will never stay anywhere else when we come to Lake Mac.

We had a wonderful lodging experience at Kingsley Lodge. We checked in Monday and left Thursday. It was such a relaxing trip!Booking was a breeze with Jessica over the phone. The hosts checked in with us each evening by swinging by on the golf cart to see if we needed anything else.The new management is top notch! Highly recommend The Goodwin’s!Lots of great supplies at the store!We have been staying in the cabins since 2014. We always book the one room cabins, they are perfect for our family of four. Two beds, shower, sink, toilet. We don’t need anything fancy, we are just there to sleep! We did get one with a fridge and microwave this year, which was handy!

More then what I expected, swim beach was a drive but not to bad, a mile or so out. But the view was amazing, the cabin was very comfortable. We sat outside and enjoyed the view most of the time. I would definitely book the same cabin again!! The staff is very friendly!

We just stayed here for 4th of July, 2019. As soon as we walked in to pick up our keys the blonde lady was so, so rude. There was an Asian family there asking very simple questions and she was so nasty to them. She was also very nasty to us, for no reason. Anytime we went to but something at the store she was obnoxious, she would make unpleasant faces and sounds, would not look at us in the eyes. It is very clear that she hated what she does and everyone she deals with. I cannot understand how a business owner could care so little about their clients. We were charge $584 on-top of the cabin’s price. When we called they said it was because we left the place dirty, that was not true! I would never stay in this place again, and i would not recommend it anyone. It was very unpleasant to deal with this people.

Driving back from the rockies to Lincoln we decided to pull over and rest. Wanted something different than a normal hotel. The girl that checked me in was very friendly and helpful. The cabin was small but very clean. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked great as did the satellite television. The greatest thing was using the provided outdoor grill overlooking the lake at sunset. I will definitely be calling next time I am in the area.

Since it was $158 a night and close to the lake we figured it was a nice cabin but oh we were in for a surprise.. We got there at 10pm went to "check in" called # on door like 20 times no answer finally got to the owner after 45 min of waiting who btw was a bit tipsy.. Room was sun hot dirt and dead bugs under bed, in bathroom and by table and next to the fridge . One bed was broken on side and held up by a brick on the other side. Never again will i stay nor recommend this place
