Why are you ALWAYS CLOSING AT 5-6PM??? This has been happening regularly for over a year and there is no excuse for it. Get people to work and pay them for the work they’re doing or close the store permanently. This behavior is a JOKE.

Upon arrival I was greeted at the door by a guy smoking who yelled “I’m locking the door in 5 minutes”. I grabbed what I needed and at the check out all he did was complain about how long he has worked today… (8 hours 😆) I feel sorry for true locals that don’t have much of a choice other than driving to West Point and Fremont.

The Oakland dollar general is a great place to shop. The staff is amazing and helpful, I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else in Oakland to shop for the necessities that we need. The manager is organized and was quick to hire needed people so that the store was able to get their original hours back.

Always missing something. Never can gwt orders done. And managament is POOR. The woman who runs this store is rude, lazy and quite frankly doesnt know how a business should be ran. Always trying to find help but wont interview unless youre a female. 0/10 in my book. Needs to find new manegement and solely somene to do the job that she obviously is not.

Whenever I shop here, It's my first choice to find bargain pricing of Name Brand product. The employees are fantastic, friendly and enthusiastic at helping when called upon. And they are always working to maintain inventory and are easily accessible. There is no clutter and upkeep is top notch. I genuinely applaud the one I most frequent in Oakland, Nebraska.

The online hours indicate they are to be open until 10 daily.. on several occasions I have driven there to get necessities to find the doors closed and no one inside. I will no longer shop at this store. It's terrible maybe they should hire staff that actually wants to work instead of shutting it down every day.

Unfortunately, this is the worst Dollar General I've ever shopped in. Over the past couple years it's become messy and poorly stocked. Their excuses fall flat as other stores within a 50 mile radius are not experiencing the same problems. Many ustomers I've spoken with say they drive to other towns to shop now due the state of the store. I do not recommend shopping here.

They never take cash. "It's not working." HOW?! There was recently a remodel they were closed how long? and still can't take cash?! Cant call to confirm times open or to ask if they're taking cash before you visit, they won't answer.

Never open when it’s supposed to be. Sign on the door will say they are closing at noon And the doors will be locked at 11:45. Call before you make the drive, chances are they won’t be open.

Love this store...it's something our small town needed. Now I don't have to travel 30 miles to go shopping for everyday needs. The staff is very friendly and helpful!!! Hoping they will get a REDBOX!!! :-)

Stoped to get a few things..digital coupons on my phone was not pulling up...putting in my number on their pad it still was not showing coupons...so called manager would not honor coupons listed on items in store...would have saved total 4.00...won't be coming back for awhile..NOT HAPPY
