To steal a popular saying from a restaurant. LOU'S HAS THE MEATS!! Since moving back to Nebraska I have tried several places for my meat specifically hamburger. HANDS DOWN Lou's has the best hamburger in town. Not to mention they have an old style deli type. I got a half pound of three different meats. Not only did they suggest a couple. They sliced it and then cubed it so it was easier to put in my salads. Now that's REAL customer service 👍

I grew up in Battle Creek but live in Minneapolis. Lou’s has some of the best meat around. I will buy a whole beef tenderloin while visiting family, bring it home, cut it up myself, vacuum seal and freeze them. Best steaks ever!!

Friendly people, amazing produce, and the best prices on meat in town. So nice they carry your groceries to your car no matter how many you have bought. Clerks and staff are so helpful and it feels like a hometown store.

Best place in norfolk nebraska to get your meat.. After you pay for your items, the employees carry your bags out to your car for you.. I would rate this place number 1 for their kindness Of their employees. I love to shop there because it's a smaller store and family owned.. You can't miss it. It's the store on 13th street with the tallest American Flag. You can literally see it from blocks away. Lou does a lot for Norfolk VFW post 1644. So if you are a veteran I would highly recommend that you shop for all of your groceries at Lou's thrifty way.

Very helpful staff. Incredibly clean and organized store. Make sure to always check out the cooler just to the left as you walk in. They have amazing deals in that cooler.

I am new to the area, having moved from out of state, and I haven't experienced a store like this since I was a kid (a long time ago!).I was greeted by a friendly fellow who offered me a cart as soon as I entered the store. Another employee welcomed me as I worked my way toward the meat department. The selection and cuts of steak were outstanding, confirming what I had been told by locals. I also purchased some beautiful, thick cut pork chops. Prices are reasonable. A little more than what I expect to pay elsewhere, but worth it for the quality.I was again amazed at the register with the very friendly cashier. AND the bag boy (do they still call them that?) offered to carry my purchase to the car for me. (I didn't think anyone did that anymore).I had one slight problem. The line for the deli was long so I chose to purchase a prepackaged deli meat. When I opened it at home, it had a bad smell and I looked at the expiration date. It had expired a week ago. I returned to the store and they quickly refunded my money, and were very apologetic. I then went to the deli and had some fresh oven roasted turkey sliced for me. Once again, a friendly and happy employee assisted me.It is readily apparent that employees are happy working there and they want customers to feel welcome, valued and well served. I will definitely be a regular customer from now on.

This was my first time here. I walked in the door and one of the cashiers immediately greeted me as if they were happy I was there. The aisles are wide enough to allow social distancing. The signs telling what's in each aisle are clear. The division of merchandise actually makes sense in locating specific items. The prices are comparable, maybe even better than Walmart Grocery.

I was looking for keto-friendly foods I did find a great ice cream, and if there a lot of others, they weren't labeled as such. No keto bread, I did find whole milk yogurt though. And then there's all the regular sugar- free items.

I'm new to the area & wanted to try a different grocery store. First walking in, I loved the small town feel. I was impressed with their produce section. I do wish they would have more gluten free items. The only thing I came across was pizza in the freezer section. The next morning when I was about to make my husband's lunch I noticed the packed meat was expired. Later that day I went back to see if I could exchange it for a new one (I had my receipt & the meat was unopened), but a gal came over & said they don't do returns on meat. So in the garbage that went. Now I come here to write a review & I came across someone that said they had expired meat too, but they could return it?! I guess lesson learned to check dates when in the store here!

This store is wonderful. The prices are more than reasonable, it looks nice, the employees are excellent and very helpful. The parking lot never has carts left in it, and that maybe a small thing to most but it is very important for a lot of instances, mainly safety. This store has been around a long time and it is apparent they know what they are doing. I hope it never closes, because we need more like it! Thank you LOU.

Lou's is a smaller grocery store. Their prices are high. They have a great selection meat and produce. You can find everything that you are looking for there. They even have sushi. They buy a lot of local products. They are scattered a4ound the store.

The produce is THE BEST! The employees are very courteous and helpful. The prices are very comparative to bigger stores. Best of all, like the fact that it's easy to get your shopping done quicker as you dont have such a long trek to find everything on your list. My favorite grocery place!

I love getting my groceries here. Meat and fresh produce seems so much fresher and delicious here. Plus their sales really help me be able to buy healthy foods when I'm on a budget! The people who work here are really friendly and nice.

many items are markdown before they are allowed to expire.. quite often I've picked up gallons of milk for a 1.99 each... even damaged cake mixes or basics such as sugar and flour I have picked up at a bargain if the packaging was dinged up.. they carry your groceries to your car... friendly people... wonderful sales ..can't go wrong

They still carry your groceries out here, and wear white aprons. There is Clarkson Bakery available here, and the store is kept up with pride and with experienced staff. This is an old school grocery store with great prices, high quality and wonderful customer service.
