I took my cat here to update her vaccinations and all went great, later on that night she had developed an allergic reaction to them, so I called the emergency after hours number and the woman in triage was very attentive and got in touch with the vet very quickly. Dr. Abby Larson took great care of my baby and was so calming and made sure she would be okay before we went home. Thank you for taking care of her so well!

I was told by two grooming places that they don't take cats and to go to a vet to remove fur clumps. I called this vet because I had brought my cat there in 2020 and they treated me respectfully. They said because it had been a few years, they would have to treat my cat as a new patient and they weren't taking any new clients right now. What would I do if it were an emergency; be turned down as well? Their solution was to go to Madison instead.

My dog is 17 years old. She has always gone to Dr Stevenson until he retired 😢. He knew my chihuahua Being a senior she suddenly gets side. In occasional I would call and he would talk to me on the phone or tell me if you can get here in 15 minutes I’ll check her since close to closing time which is at 6. My dog was really sick I called and told them I’m worried she won’t make it thru the night I’m worried. It was shortly after 5. When their website says close at 6. Doc didn’t bother to talk to me. Secretary said well you can bring her in but it’s an emergency call. Which as soon as come in the door just to come in is $150 plus whatever they check for and we will not check blood until tomorrow. But for an emergency call by the time they check all can run between 300-500 I told her I don’t have the money you are stillOpen. She said we call it emergency call after 5 even if open till 6. She gave me an appointment for next day almost 10am. I told her well if she survives the night I’ll have to wait. She said ok well hope she ok and we make you an appointment. You definitely can see her right now. Was like 5:15-5:20 she said no. You want to come Tomorrow I said ok. I called Madison vet and without knowing her they right away said bring her In. I am so disappointed companion always been her vet. And knowing her history couldn’t take the time to at least look at her. Do Steven’s would have. He was a great doctor that actually cared for his fur patients and did it by proof he cared and not just for a job. I would highly recommend companion but now that Dr Steven’s is gone sadly I cannot say I am pleased with their service.

Unfortunately, seems like lots are learning the practice currently at CAVC. While I was there, animals were NOT cared for properly, and no matter how many times techs/vets, were supposed to make sure their kennel staff were caring for them properly, as the opening kennel person, I can vouch for the fact it stopped happening after Dr S retired. Constantly animals left in filthy kennels, no water. Nobody ‘in charge’ was checking anything at the end of the night. I was bit by aggressive dogs, while pregnant, working there, and only told, I’m sorry. I would never bring my own animals back here after seeing the care given to clients.Worked for Dr S for almost 2 years and had nothing but positive experiences. New owners/other Dr, took over, I had a pre term baby, nicu stay, etc, went back super part time after 3 months, at the agreement of myself and the owner. After multiple discussions of these hours being agreed upon, even as soon as 2 weeks before, I was fired for not returning full time.The entire idea of compassion and care for animals and staff went downhill after Dr S retired. Just another business out to make a buck.

We have been going to Companion for 25 years. Dr Stephenson and his staff were the best. We had an appointment today with the new vets and staff and I feel as if they will be just as good. I look forward to taking all my pets there in the future.

There could have been more smiles and a warmer welcome from the front desk but Dr. Steven's was awesome. Hewas very nice, warm, and I could see his smile under his mask. He was so very good with my service dog!

The staff are awesome!! We had an emergency visit after hours recently and Dr.Tramp was very responsive and took care of Rascal and he’s much better. We have taken our family there for years! Dr. Stephenson will be missed greatly also!!

Though you are all very busy with calls and so many animals throughout the day, everyone shows sincere caring attitudes to our dogs and us as owners when we have questions. Thank you!

Changing from a 5 star review after the large lump in my dogs chest the tech forgot to check during a dental (not the first time something was forgotten during a sedated dental) and then claimed was a lipoma after I asked. Turned out it was cancer that caused me to lose my dog 8 months later. This place has gone down hill since Dr Brauer left. Go to West Point or Omaha and spend the extra $20.

The Vet my father and I had was the kindest, most wholesome soul to help Bailey with her last visit. She made sure to check in on the two of us while giving us our time, professionally and genuinely. This was my first time with this specific visit, she made the hard parts clear while her tone was soft and not demeaning, as often times it can feel that way. I thank her for all the hair clippings; she made sure I was content with how much and asked if I would’ve liked some from any special spots. She really took care of all of us, thank you

We drove 80 miles to this vet for a second opinion, thank God I did. In addition to congestive heart disease she was also in renal failure which my vet unfortunately missed. After 4 days in their care, she is now comfortable and well medicated to manage her conditions. Dr. Stephenson really knows his stuff. I'm eternally grateful to have the additional time with my elderly dog & for her to have a less traumatic exit.

Don't ever bother bringing a pet with a true emergency. They won't do anything anyway, and will just send them to Omaha. Who knows if 4 extra HOURS might have made a difference in the outcome for my dog, who was experiencing a true emergency (something even a novice owner would know couldn't just wait 4 extra HOURS to be treated). Now I know just to skip over this place, and take my dogs somewhere that will actually DO vet care.

I've always felt Apollo has received very good care on our visits here. Luckily he's been a healthy pup, so havent had to use many of their services, but have been satisfied with what we've experienced. Although we've havent purchased their retail products, they do carry pet foods and a small number of accessories and other products. Their fees seems in line with other local providers.

Have always been satisfied with how they deal with my fur baby. The clinic always looks clean and tidied. They offer pet food and accessories. Making appointments is easy and can usually get in in a day or two. The people at checkout, while not the friendliest, are always efficient and get you checked out and on your way quickly.

Ya know, I don’t even want to leave a star except for the fact that the doctor I saw today seemed to give the best advice upon going there for the third time. Every time we have gone there the receptionist ignore you when coming in and seems put off that you’re even there. I’m a vet tech myself and I can’t tell you that the way that place is run is a disaster! I have no idea how they even have as many stars as they do for a rating. My puppy has been there 3 times since she was a puppy and one of those times being she was attacked by another dog. She required stitches which I pray she was given under sedation. The reason I say that is because only in our 3rd visit I was notified that she has a heart murmur. She is 8 months old. Being that she is that young this should have been caught at least by the second visit where she was hopefully put under sedation at least and under the care of the veterinary or a vet tech and vitals were monitored. I am truly upset as well for the fact that after leaving I called to ask the vet more questions and was told I would need to be called back. I WAS NEVER CALLED BACK! For those who have had a great experience I am truly happy for u. I however being a vet tech of 8 years will NEVER recommend this “hospital” to anyone!

Worst vet ever. They are always overcharging you and run a lot of unnecessary test. They're not good at keeping accurate accounts. My mom owed them money for her animal, and I was also taking my pets there. I'm an adult and don't live with her. Half the time we don't get along. They told me she had a bill there and since we were related that I had to pay it or they wouldn't see my dog. I walked out and never went back. The guy vet is horrible and very aggressive with the animals.

Appointment was right on schedule! Dr. Davis was fantastic and worked well with our dog! Kept him at ease for his shots and made sure he was more than comfortable while she checked him over! Will definitely use them for all of our veterinarian needs!

Left my poor puppy boarded here for 8 days and he lost so much weight he looks like a cancer patient now. He was beautiful and healthy before he spent a week here but now his spine and ribs are all sticking out and he has just slept for 2 days now and has no energy. I would have expected a phone call or someone to do something to get him to eat instead of letting him starve for 8 days. Definitely will not take my dog to a place where they will likely let him die and not let you know that there is an issue.

Brought my cat out of the back room in his carrier, completely soaked in his own urine. He was only there for 6-7 hours during the day for an ear surgery. There was a strong smell of urine, and considering my white-long haired cats fur was now yellow... it was obvious. This is a high-production centered office.. vs. a caring facility. Was new in town and needed a new vet....Very disappointed.

A year ago we took my dog and he got diagnosed with allergies. 6 months ago the bleeding started again from his nose and this time they said it was a tumor. Last night he started bleeding more than normal couldn't get in took him to another vet. The vet said oh no no your dog has a fungal infection. It's been eating away at his nose. It's unfortunate my favorite vet misdiagnosed my dog twice for the past year.
