Terrible service. Employees were rude and judgmental. Didn’t let me give a proper goodbye to my dog. Just took them and made me fill out paper work with disgust in their eyes. Employees need to understand things happen in life that are out of our control to where we have no choice but to give up our loving family member(s). But they did none of this. I wouldn’t recommend going here to adopt or surrender. They don’t treat their animals well. I volunteered here for a lil bit and two employees were very disrespectful (to put it very mild) to a couple animals. If you love (your) animals then don’t bring them here.

Some of the people there are very non understanding judgemental and criticizing people who looked at me today with scorn and made me feel like a horrible person and criminal for hoping they would with some type of compassion help me find the perfect home for 2 adorable bunnies i had and a few in the past find good homes and did genuinely what I thought was best for them and with a difficult situation within my family recently over Christmas of my grandma having an accident in her apartment and having to go to assisted living due to degrading dementia I had the difficult job of surrendering her cat which originally was adopted through them in a dire situation just wanted to put her on a waiting list no one is perfect or makes the perfectly right decisions at times in life but I am a good person and for a community funded place they should have more respect and compassion for their community members personal situations that arise and they didn't even want to understand or have any compassion for my situations past and present I would take in any animal in need of help anywhere and always have as i am a complete animal lover I've never been so insulted with them saying I could never adopt from them again and they would never help me with any animal again I will no longer recommend or donate which I did today also. I have adopted from them a few dogs baby in the past and older black lab and yuki last march a German shepherd a couple of guinea pigs who are best friends and love to whistle and they are all still with me healthy and happy and I love them dearly..I donated a basket of cat toys that were my grandma's cats toys, kitten food and a cat bed never again! I have quite a few concerns about this place well as a few others have had with their personal experiences with some of the people and their mannerisms on how they treat people.

Great speaking with them. Called back right away to answer our question. We will say it was disheartening to realize that folks in The northeastern area are taking advantage of the farm rescue project for Ferrell cats. After doing research We're utterly shocked of how many people are fibbing to get vaccinations, and spayed and Neutering done. Wow. IT'S disgusting for people who have money like the BUISNESS OWNERS just to the south of Primestop to bring cats off his farm, Cammi takes her time to capture and take to Cathy at Madison Vetranarian clinic . The Guy who has that business can be mad at people like me for feeding a watering them. They were starving. And Cammi rescued 28 felines or more from there. Northeastern animal shelter Deserves 2,000 to 3,000 dollars of donation money from that Buisness Owner just South of Primestop.Also he should Donate 5, 000 dollars to Madison county Vetrinarian in Madison Nebraska.Enuff Said.

The Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska has always been more than accomodating. I've adopted 2 dogs from them. All of their caretakers take animal husbandry and kennel cleanliness seriously. They also take animal welfare seriously and check to make sure their dogs and cats can be housed wherever they are destined for. Very much a comminity organization with good fundraisers and a fun working environment for the animals and staff.

The staff there was simply amazing. They answered all my questions, they were nice, and compassionate about their work. The facility was very clean and the animals were very well cared for.If you're looking to adopt a fur baby, I would highly recommend them

We had such a great experience adopting our new puppy! They were very patient with us since we could not pick between 2 and they have continued to follow up to make sure he is doing well! So glad they were there to save the mama and all her puppies!! Very clean facility and dogs all seem very happy and attended to! Our little guy has gotten very comfortable and seems to be adjusting well

Just be careful with what these people tell you, we took home a cat and within a couple of days it ended up with pnemonia. i don't recommend this place. We also used Pets for Vets and i'm sure the Vets for pets never got there money back since we took a couple animals back that we wern't told much about. Half of this was our fault we didn't ask alot of questions, but we do now no matter where we get anything.

We found a wonderful dog to adopt here. Everyone who helped us was great. The only thing i wish was better was the website. They had way more pets available to adopt than listed on the website. It would be nice if it was kept more up to date. Overall a great experience.

Adoptions are by appointment only ensuring the safety of the staff and customers. The facility is clean and well lit but most importantly the animals are taken care of very well and they make sure that they're going to a good home. We have adopted from here twice now and have had great experiences.

We did some fall cleaning/decluttering around our house this past weekend and found some older blankets and towels we no longer needed. We donated those to the shelter! Everyone there was very grateful for our donation and super helpful ! While there, we met two youth volunteers. So proud of these two younger kids volunteering their time to our local Animal Shelter!

My husband and I are so happy to have a new member in our family. We call her Sandee/ Salma. She is just precious to us. All of the staff and even volunteers were so kind to us. I met Miss Sandee in mid July, she was kind of in rough shape, broken leg, missing an eye. But my heart went out to her, cuz you know we are not all perfect people, but I knew I could fall in love with her. BIG THANK YOU to all the kind people that helped her money wise. I brought her to our home just 2 days ago. My silly old cats have accepted her, right now my 11 year old cat is napping by Sandee. It seemed like a long wait to finally welcome her home. I just say enough great things about this place and their people . They work there with all their heart. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My best friend got her dog here. They were very helpful and even gave her daily updates the few days he stayed there before picking him up! Also a reasonable priced place to get collars and toys.

we adopted ivy this afternoon for our daughter. the cat is amazing, very amusing and friendly! the staff were extremely nice and the animals are clean and cared for. would recommend!

I cannot say enough about this animal shelter they put their heart and soul into each and every case that comes through their door. I'm a huge animal lover myself and have volunteer there and they just make you one of their own. They have a true dedication to these animals as I have had to rescue a few strays that I have found late at night and Without blinking an eye they drive to everything and got over to animal shelters so the little guy had a warm place to stay.

Animal shelter of northeast Nebraska is the best place to find a pet. Their animals are so well taken care of and they are treated with love and respect. We got our Misha there and love her so much. If you can't adopt a pet please donate money or items they need because this is a no-kill shelter and they'll keep the animals as long as they need to until find them their "fur"ever home!

Super friendly staff and volunteers! Very eager to help and answer all your questions. Visited multiple times before adopting my dog and was greeted by staff with a smile and a warm welcome each time. Adoption process was thero but necessary for the pet and family's safety. Definitely recommend if your looking for a pet to adopt!
