Easy to find. Not far from NE City. Staff was excellent & super kind. From the standpoint of someone used to the Dr office style vets in Omaha, this is definitely a change back to casual small town business. Be prepared for the possibility of a lot of barking dogs back in the kennels that are connected to the waiting room. Non-emergency visits are definitely handled at a leisurely pace, but the service is worth adjusting your day around it when you have a sick furkid.

One of the best vets in Nebraska City! My wife and I bring our 3 cats here all the time and they take such excellent care of them! I would hughly recommend them to anyone looking for a nice, friendly place to go!

Losing pets entrusted into your care and not taking responsibility for your mistakes isn't really the best way to do business. Very concerned to learn a dog escaped and this hospital waiting 24 hours to inform the owner, and he only found out because he came to pick the dog up. Seems like owner can’t do much with law enforcement and the vet doesn’t seem to be helping find and capture the dog they lost. Maybe shouldn’t be boarding dogs if you can’t responsibly handle it and any accidents that happen. I’d suggest getting cameras. Smh owner still searching for his dog around a HIGHWAY!!! they have to continue going to work, etc. while trying to find their dog in the wild. heartbreaking. I hope you guys figure out where you went wrong. Telling the owner he isn’t allowed to raise his voice at you guys is ridiculous considering he has every right to be EXTREMELY upset and you gave him no answers about what happened other than “the dog shouldn’t have been able to escape” and waiting 24 hrs to inform the owner. What kind of employees are you hiring? You should be telling people IMMEDIATELY so they can start looking for their dog. The more time passes the worse it gets. And you guys are supposed to perform surgeries and medical procedures and checkups on animals but can’t even get the boarding aspect right? Smh I’d never bring my animals anywhere that’s let something like this happen the way it did.

Front office staff and vet tech are very nice, professional, and helpful…the doctor on the other hand…NOT SO MUCH. Dr. Sarah was EXTREMELY unprofessional towards my wife at our visit today. We were a few minutes late, for which we apologized, and she absolutely took us to task over it. Furthermore, she became VERY irritated and defensive when we weren’t 100% on board with her assessment of what was going on with our animal, very quick to tout her “17 years experience” as if we had the audacity to even considering questioning her. In nearly 30 years of owning animals, we never been treated so poorly by a veterinarian. DEFENSIVE. COMBATIVE. CONDESCENDING. DON’T BOTHER COMING HERE.

It was cheap...so if you're frugal like me it's great! Staff was friendly until we dropped our dog off for boarding. Then they were short and cold with me. If you can overlook that, then you'll be fine.

So My Husband took our cat Tom in about a week ago and saw Dr. Sara, no problem they were great!So I decided to bring in our other cat Lue with the other Dr I can't remember the name of So I'll call her dr.attitude, noticed a build up of ear wax in his ear and said it might be ear mites, I said no we already ruled that out, she said to me did you find that out on your microcope at home did ya, I said no of course not I have taken several of my other cats to a vet in plattsmouth and we got a clear bill of no mites, she was short with me for the rest of the visit and purposely scared my poor lue when she came back into the room to give him his vaccination, I only want to see Dr. Sara from here on out!

Beware, they lost someone's dog and never informed the owner until he came in. Absolutely ridiculous and I would never recommend a place that doesn't care about the animals, especially when they go missing under their care. 0/10

My dog fell down my stairs and had an open fracture of her right front leg. She was bleeding and in shock. She is too big for me to carry without help. I was terrified. Dr Sara Joy came to my house, sedated my dog, and helped me load her up at 5 AM. The limb was deemed unsalvageable and after stabilization, we returned to Dr Joy for amputation. I will never forget this lady's kindness and compassion on this awful night. My baby is doing well today.
