I've been a member at sams clubs for years. I have the credit card, etc. Today I was waved in by a cashier to get checked out, and was appalled by the customer service.I had the digital credit card from the sams club app and presented it to her and she said she could not take that. I told her this was a official sams club digital card confused. She said "ma'am we cannot take those here." I told her used it last week, no problem. She said even if it does work that's not okay to use that. She proceeded to say "sorry you will need to go home and get the physical card".

I have been to Sam's before, but I went to the location on N 27th the first time. I haven't been there for over 10 years. Wednesday (Dec 20) was my first visit to this location. I purchased my membership online, and I am still waiting for a card to show up in the mail. I already have the digital version with the smartphone app. What really pushed me to sign up this year was a combination of wanting cheaper gas and Costco not accepting anything but Visa (which I do not have). So Sam's won me over simply by accepting Mastercard when Costco wouldn't.Right now, Sam's is over 60 cents cheaper than Hy-Vee fuel. Wow! It's very easy to pay at the pump if you have a smartphone. Just enter the credit card credentials and scan the QR code displayed at the pump. You also get a digital receipt e-mailed to you when you are done. I was blown away by how cheap the gas is, and I am wishing I had joined sooner. I could have used this kind of savings when gas got to $3.77 in most places. However, I don't recommend getting gas when I did. It was a zoo. Try earlier than 4 PM or later than 6 PM.As for the store, I went in for a few minutes to look around. I didn't buy anything. My initial impressions were 1) The store didn't look as nice as Costco. It looked more like a warehouse. I guess that doesn't matter as long as the products are of good quality. 2) They need more people checking customer's receipts as they leave the store. There was a long line that wasn't moving very fast.My conclusion is it's worth it to get the cheaper membership even if you only buy gas at Sam's.

Sam's employees are always friendly & helpful with one exception. Always great values in store or online. Club pick up and scan & go are great shopping tools. Avoid the membership desk if the blue haired girl is there!

Can’t find something? Good luck. You’ll spend half an hour wondering around the store, trying to find the item or an employee to ask for help. Once you finally do find an employee, they’ll act like you’re bothering them and then tell you they don’t know where it’s at, or they’ll just guess a wrong location so you’ll walk away.

Went in today to change my second card holder from my cousin who passed, to my husband. They were incredibly kind and made the process very easy. While I was in I got a super sweet giant 110 quart cooler that's about $41 less expensive than the A to Z online giant, as well as some really sweet cups for a beach trip this summer.

Very clean store. They had everything I needed, but one thing. On the way out, my receipt wouldn't scan so it took an unnecessarily long time to get out of the store. Hoping it's quicker next time.

It almost never is a good experience coming to this location.The gas station is a place of anarchy. Especially at rush hour, there is no supervision by the attendant. Why did they install the slowest computers at those pumps. It takes so much time to close the transaction when you are done pumping gas. Maybe they like to waste your time. I haven't found a single gas station in town that has slowest computers that theirs.Inside the store, self checkouts are way too often non supervised. If it's not superbusy, the self checkout supervisor will actually go and talk to the cashiers or help the cashiers process those customers. Even if there usually is not much of a line at the self checkuots, if you need help, you can be in trouble. I once had to go and get an actual cashier to get help with my self checkout transaction.Why do they force you to go through the renewal of your membership at EVERY SINGLE TIME you go to the checkou? I have to decline the renewal of the card every time. It is the most annoying thing! They love wasting your time.We found lately soda machines are often out of order or out of stock for some of the beverages. They never put signs up to warn customers that some drinks are unavailble. So they waste your time. You purchase your cup at the self checkout and then find out that the soda machines aren't working. Yes, you can get a refund if can't get your soda but again it is a waste of our time to find a supervisor or a manager to get a refund. These location (or maybe it is a corporate mandate) really doesn't value customers' time.On the plus side, their vegetables are very well priced. However, too often they go bad before the expiration date, which makes you wonder how they store those veggies in their trucks or in the back storage at the warehouse, since the actual veggi section does seem quite cold.Again, overall, it really is not a nice place to go. Customer service is way better at Walmart than here....which says a lot!!!

The best thing about Sam's is the photo department. Not many places have a photo department anymore, this is what brings me into the store. I then shop while waiting for my pictures to develop. There is lots of variety, even for a small family. You can buy bulk, but lots of products are portioned into smaller bags.

The layout is very confusing compared the the other Sams club. When I asked employees for directions to items or about certain items they didn’t know or gave vague instructions.

Went in to make payment on acct and didnt have to wait 5 minutes. Very speedy transaction and made purchase of 2 items. Was speedy check out and on our way. A++ visit.

Terrible lay out, but still 4 stars cause I love Sam's. Great produce, good prices. Can't stand that the beverages are spread out all over the place (both sides of the freezer section and along a wall.

This is a great place to get cheap bulk items. I was buying Belvitas for twice the price. Wow, I realized I was just wasting money in the long run. They have a lot of selections and even TVs. However, the place is packed. I only go during weekday work hours otherwise it's mayhem. Even on a workday opening time, the gas pumps are lined up. I've never got gas and don't plan to. Is it really worth your time to wait in line to save a dollar? Nope. Maybe someday they'll fix that or have less of a crowd with better hours. Other than that, go at the right time for peace and quietness and grab them great deals!

The membership automatically renews itself. I quickly canceled it when I saw the money was taken out of my account. I called and they canceled it but never gave me the refund as they said they would. Shady customer service thats outsourced to foreign countries.

They had all the things we needed. But there were 3 girls to busy talking at check out( they we all on one register). And even though they had 3 girls working 1 register, they missed scaning one of our items. They were too busy talking, and they had put it on the belt and just brushed it over the scaner. Not looking for the barcode or anything, and then they put it in the cart. There was no noise to indicate it was scanned. They were just too busy with their conversation that they didn't notice. My total had 40 cents change, so we handed one of the girls a quarter dime and a nickel. She said in a rude tone "its forty cents." I rudely responded,"That is forty cents, " and we had to count it out for her. The lady who was checking orders at the door also thought it was ridiculous.

If you are buying in bulk for a family, it's a great deal. If your single as i am, you can still save lots on meat. They have excellent buys on meat, they have good buys, on quality tires, for your vehicle

I really like the phone app, I can go into the store and "scan and go" which means I can scan the bar code and it will save it and add it all up and then when I'm done I can add a card to just swipe and pay! I don't have to people at all!!!!

Went to SE Lincoln,NE Sam's today. Had everything I had on my list, noticed minimal lines to get gas. Much different than many recent experiences at the north location, which is sad.

This is a great Sam’s Club location. It has always been clean. I want to give a special shout out to the folks preparing food though. They are very friendly! They make sure you are taken care of and cater to your needs. I really enjoy eating at this location. The groceries are great but the restaurant really takes this location to the next level

The pharmacy and the produce are both the best in town imho. I've never even wondered into the clothing areas so I can't give an opinion on that. Their frozen and prepared meals are best avoided. We tend not to buy any of the oversized food items unless for an occasion. For me, the plus membership is worth keeping just for the pharmacy and the produce. Finally lactose free milk. Not sure why it took so long. Finally the watermelons are in!

Everyone has their preferences, Sam's products just meet mine better than Costco. If at all possible I avoid the weekend's there, it gets soooo busy that you'll waste time in every area, and it really would seem prudent to increase the number of checkers when the checkout lines are backed up into the aisle. Their meat selection is very good, the produce fresh, and their pricing is very competitive. Lately though, they've been out of stock on common necessities like butter and chicken breasts.
