I will ride from far distances to get my bike worked on at this shop. I thought I needed rims cause my spokes were rusty but Aaron told me not to worry about it and I rode those rims and had no issues. His honesty saved me $ and he didn’t take advantage and make a sell. Thanks bro! Going single speed this year. I’ll see ya soon…

Aaron and Kevin took fantastic care of my bike. They made adjustments to my bike which it needed due to neglect. They also fixed my brake pads so they're working substantially better than they were when I got the bike new from the manufacturer. Thank you so much guys!

Came back a year later to write this review... because the customer service, knowledge and overall kindness this shop showed to me as a first time, and pretty clueless customer is something that will stick with me. The Salty Dog crew built me a new set of 700c Velocity A23 wheels for a used Surly Crosscheck frame I had bought. While they were being built I also decided to purchase set of Paul Mini Moto brakes to replace the old ones that came with the bike when I bought it. I was planning on making a trip up to their shop in Nebraska to pick up my new wheels and brakes to bring back to Kansas City and attempt to finish this build out myself, but before I had a chance to, Kevin, one of the owners happened to be in Kansas City and offered to swing by to grab my bike to take it back to the shop to finish out the build. Within the same day Kevin swung by my apartment and grabbed my frame to take back with him to his shop. I visited their shop a couple weeks later to pick up my new bike and have been riding it ever since. I cant say enough good things about this bike shop. Their craftsmanship is top-tier and you can tell they truly care about what they do and the people they serve.Some bike shops feel like a Jiffy Lube. Not this one. Hoping to visit again soon.

Bought a nice used trek hybrid and returned for another nice used trek hybrid for my wife. They fitted us and helped us customize the bikes. Friendly reasonably priced knowledgeable and easy to deal with.

Really a gem of a local bike shop that serves the community. They have very reasonably priced new & used bikes, parts, and excellent friendly service. Please support this shop so that working class folks in Lincoln have an affordable place to go!

Employees are really nice and bikes are well priced. I had two bikes from here. One had paint over a cracked frame (the shop did not know about this until I saw the crack). They took care of me because I was in the 30 day return window. But the replacement bike they gave me had a back tire that didn't fit the frame. They replaced the tire thankfully. My experience overall was great service but I got the sense each bike was just used parts thrown on a frame with new gears, quite a hassle for me. I'd only go back if my budget was real tight--I had better luck on FB marketplace personally.

The owner remembers almost everyone who comes in. It's a great small business feel. I was able to trade in my bike and get some amenities installed. The owner is very fair on pricing and is very helpful. He'll go out of your way for you and is overall a great bike shop.Been coming here consistently for a year now. I go here for all my bike repair needs. Never going to another bike shop as long as this place stays open

I have nothing but great experiences here. Everyone is super helpful and down to earth. I've had alot of not so great times at the "bigger" shops in town. Salty Dog has always came through for me when the others can't step up to the plate.

Absolutely sick little local shop! I've been in LNK for a year now and had never stopped in, so I made a point to do so. The builds inside were high quality and great deals, the guy behind the counter, Kevin, was super chill and knowledgeable, and the accessories selection on the wall was full of options. If you're looking to get a nice bike on a budget, are trying to get rid of an old bike/components, need your rig fixed, or just want to stop into a sick shop, this is the spot for you.
