I was looking for iron on patches for work pants. The staff is friendly & helpful. They only have self help checkout. I think person to person contact says more for a store than anything else. I hope this isn't a trend. I only come here on occasion because it's a smaller store but closer to where I live. However most of the time i find what I'm looking for & buy it

There are plenty of options for most hobbies like decoration, baking, scrap booking, art, etc. Wish it had more hobbies like model making, cosplay, and other stuff that's hard to find in the Midwest.

Went there today. I LOVE THIS STORE!! I had 3 different employees help me. I was doing a project that I dreamed up. One gal answered questions I didn't know I had. Checkout gal was so patient with me. Employees at another craft store (not Michael's) always ignore me and act like I'm bothering them.

They have gone the self checkout path. Thought they were better than that. Products are good, framing depth has served us well in the past. I just don't like stores that provide NO service at checkout.

I don’t know what has happened lately but the their customer service has really gone down hill. Called in on Friday to have some custom frames made and asked if a certain discount applied, was told it would. Came in Saturday to place my order and there was one person ahead of me being helped by another employee. There was another employee next to her to which I asked for assistance. I later found out this was the operations manager and she informed me that she didn’t know how to process that area and told me I needed to wait. After 30 minutes of waiting I asked if I could just leave my info with them to call me back when they had more time as I had very cranky kids with me. Came back the following day to pick up my order and ran into the same operations manager. Tried to apply the discount that I was assured on Friday could apply only to be told “ oh, none of my employees would have told you that. You must have heard wrong. The price is the price, are you buying it or not?”. She was unnecessarily rude for no apparent reason and just really soured what is usually a great experience.

We LOVE this place! Our 15 yr. old granddaughter is an arts and crafts whizkid. When it's gift time for her we know exactly where to go. A 2 mile drive and a 5 minute trip to the checkout to purchase a gift card and we're finished! It's the perfect place for her. If they don't have it, she doesn't need it!

No friendly greeting today. They seemed understaffed. No one appeared around the store to help find items. One register open with a super long line, but staff remained chipper. When second register opened I was pleasantly surprised how friendly staff remained. They did not seem overwhelmed and took time to answer questions, as well as keep the moods bright and cheerful. Great store.

This trip was not so hot. One of the staff was great very helpful and friendly., the other 2 I talked to well kinda rude. Was very surprised. I was there 3 days before and had great experience with me and my girls.

Ordered online. I never got confirmation email so I call 24 hours later And they couldn’t find anything. My card has been charged. And I had been given an order number. I called the following day again they can’t find anything. The issue is very short and rude then placed me on hold for 15 minutes without checking back to the point where I hung up. This happened twice that’s 30 minutes. The third time I asked for a manager immediately and she couldn’t find the order. I managed to go online to realize it was canceled so I asked her why they would’ve canceled it and she said because the product would’ve not been in the store. I asked if she had the specific product in the store right now and she said yes

The friendly employees only add to the already great atmosphere and wonderful selection! The new store looks incredible. There is almost always a coupon online, and the cashier is more than happy to help you find it on your phone if you're struggling. Also, they offer fun classes--many for free! Definitely one of my favorite stores in Lincoln.

So between the two hobby stores I frequent, Hobby Lobby has a bigger selection and usually better pricing. That being said, if I'm in a hurry and don't want to spend a lot of time browsing, Michaels is more than adequate for necessities. If you can catch a "two for one" sale or watch their flyer, you can actually find good deals here. This location has a tight parking lot so be aware of that if you have a larger vehicle.

I've been going to this Michaels location off and on over the past 9 years to have custom framing work done, and I have had consistently good experiences. The staff have been friendly, knowledgeable, and insightful in assisting me with a variety of print and canvas framing projects, and the prices have been competitive, especially given the great quality of the final product. Would definitely recommend if you're in the market for getting a piece framed!

I generally only go here to get sewing items to patch clothes but this place seems to have almost everything crafty. I would definitely frequent this place if I ever decided to dable in the world of craftiness! The staff was very nice and helpful too.

Michael's is my favorite craft and hobby store and I have been shopping there for a long time now and being a rewards member makes it a lot easier on the bank account every time I get home I am still in shock over the savings I got! I have done my "happy dance" in the parking lot of Michael's more than I'd like to admit but I have no shame when it comes to saving money! The staff are always so nice and extremely helpful and the stores are easy to navigate through no matter what time of year or holiday it is. You are going to be amazed if you haven't been there yet. Go let the little kid inside you out and while you're there check out the kids crafts and learning to create section, and there's the answer to"there's nothing on television"! Enjoy your visit and don't forget to sign up as a rewards member!
