Since moving to the Wedgewood neighborhood 5 years ago now...Earl May's has been my go to for all my gardening needs. Their plants are always healthy and guaranteed. they also have a unique selection of houseplants. I also like that if you purchase a house plant and planter, they will repot it for free with the right soil blend appropriate for the plant. I was recently helped by an employee by the name of Paige, who I bothered with a question while she was occupied with another task. She happily stopped what she was doing and proceeded to assist me with questions regarding some of their stocked houseplants. When I had a question that she wasn't able to answer, she asked for assistance from another employee named Sean who was was able to assist me. I wanted to shine light on this specific interaction because at the time, the store was very busy. Both of the employees that I interacted with were in cheerful moods and the communication between Paige and Sean (who I eventually found out is the store manager) was very professional considering the stress in the store at the time. Not once did I feel rushed during my interaction and I got all the answers plus more that I needed. I will continue to use this store location as my default for all of my garden/landscaping materials and needs.

Purchased two Perennials with a $50 gift card. The gift card was given to purchase a plant in memory of a passing relative. This following year the plants never returned leaving a bare area in our flower bed. Since this was a gift card, had no receipt. The clerk doing her job advised she could not provide a replacement without a receipt. In place of the original area, planted some begonias for $2.99 from a big box store. Will no longer shops this location.

I've been an Earl May customer for decades. They have quality plants and supplies. If I ever need a question answered or a guarantee honored, I can just show up and there is always a knowledgeable staff person available to help.

Super friendly and helpful staff! They were super accommodating when I came to look for and ended up buying a Shinseiki pear tree (price was better than competitors and it had fruit growing on it already!). Great selection of plants. I'll be coming back to look for a Lapins cherry tree and/or a Persimmon tree.

Received very poor customer service today...I bought a $30 planter of Pansies last Thursday, put them out on Friday afternoon, on the porch protected by the over-hang, and they ALL died by Saturday!! EM would not stand by them when returned. Maybe they should not have been out over night but how much do you suppose replacing 6-8 pansies for good customer service would have cost Earl May?

I normally have really good luck finding plants at Earl May. This year the selection was not as good and there were many dead or dying plants. I will stop back later in the season and see if the selection has changed any. The prices were a bit higher here than other nurseries. I did purchase one plant and had a quick and easy check out.

All the staff is super helpful and so sweet. Good customer service is hard to find now days. The people who closed today (10/22/22), were helpful and answered all the questions we had. Even though we came in close to the time they were closing, they didn’t not rush us at all.

I like Earl May just fine. Their selection is always disappointing, and their plant prices are always higher than I think they should be. I tend to buy a lot of my gardening supplies there. At least those are priced appropriately. They hire a lot of teenagers, which is great, but make sure you get a full time adult employee if you have questions. I've heard the young whipper-snappers offer advice that was so off that I had to interrupt and correct them. ;)

I'm not sure what is happening to Earl May. They used to have beautiful plants for reasonable prices. Now, their plants don't look healthy at all and they are literally 3x the price of the same plant that is larger and in better condition at Campbell's. Their faux plants don't look real and are outrageously priced. Their garden decor is also way over priced. My boyfriend and I left without making a purchase and we both agreed not to return.

My favorite place to go in Lincoln to buy plants. The employees have answers to my questions, and what they don’t know, they have been willing to look up for me. Great selection, great atmosphere, gorgeous plants and other gardening necessities.

They have a good selection but were missing some of the basics I was looking for. And they had a large section of plants that were apparently already sold but that fact wasn't marked with any signs, so I had to put a bunch back. How would they expect people to know?

Earl May on Wedgewood Drive is the best . Large selection of garden vegetables and houseplants. The big reason I frequent this store is Nancy ! She is so knowledgable and friendly. She is an asset to the business !

New staff on the floor without experienced staff to answer simple questions. Fortunately experienced staffer shows up and was helpful. Cashier stuffed plants into one bag, so when I got home there were multiple branches broken. What is the point of taking the time to select the best of the bunch if a callous cashier is going to mangle them?Manager not there. Whom I believe was the assistant manager eventually made it right. I was peeved yet she remained professional. They have select, hard to find vegetables and tomatoes.

Pricey, and when I asked for assistance I waited over 5 minutes. Another customer in a different part of the store asked for assistance and was helped first. As I waited an additional 10 minutes, I watched 3 young male staff in back while were working yet had friends come visit and completely ignore me. As I was preparing to leave, a nice gentleman noticed my frustration and assisted me. Customer service is not a top priority.

I really wanted gift cards for the moms of my grandkids for mothers day. In the days of the virus I'm sad that you made this difficult. When I asked about it I was told to come on in and get one. But I don't live there. Then go online and get one. Gee, thanks for the personalized help. The little mom and pop garden shops where my other kids live just took my card number and said to have the moms come on in and give their name. I really think bigger isn't better. Earl May, please be nicer.

Lots of plants and garden related stuff. They helped me find fertilizer for black berries. They didn't have any stag horn sumac. I looked at their tree prices. It was more than I wanted to pay.
