The best food/treat/toy selection in Lincoln. Whether your pet has special nutritional needs/allergies/limited ingredients/raw diet/kibble/freeze-dried/more treat choices than you can throw/pet gear-leashes-collars-harnasses/pet beds-you name it or they will order it for you and call you ready to pick up. Also Trevor is excellent @ teaching people to master their dogs (because all dogs WANT a master).

Trevor is a fun and experienced dog trainer, and the store is well stocked with everything that you need for your dog. And Canine Consultants is LOCAL. I love bringing our puppy in to get her exposure to other animals and people.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. I enjoy going to CC&PS because it's close to me and it superb quality with a reasonable price. If you're in the neighborhood you should check it out. Always a 10 out of 10!

This is my 3rd visit here. They have everything you could want for your dog and I've learned a lot with the individual training classes.

Decent selection for your tiny little dog. They have harnesses there as well as collars and many other item to fit your dogs needs. It's hard to find stuff for a tiny little Chihuahua. But they have some things there. Will definitely go back again and check them out some more. They have decent prices on food as well. And even have obedience classes. I might look into some training classes to whip my baby into an well mannored well train service dog. As he is an official service dog alteady. But he could use a little bit of teaching and obey commands bit better.

We moved away from Lincoln and we’ll miss this store! Excellent place for anything dog and cat related. I’ve been getting my pups food here for over a year now and the customer service has become a welcomed part of my routine. The shop employees are very personable, knowledgeable, and they make the place a pleasure to visit. It’s also nice knowing that I am supporting a local small business. It’ll be a sad day when Lincoln no longer has small neighborhood businesses, so support local. The dog training is excellent here too, you can do individual, group, and lifetime training options.

Even though they have a wide variety of product for your pets, we ran into some bad customer service here. First was the puppy training with our first little one. The training was ok till after she was fixed, we returned and stated that we'd like to take it easy as her incision was still tender. The trainer proceeded to yank the leash pulling our puppy off the ground in an attempt to correct her. Needless to say this upset us.... We were buying food from here as well and one stop they were out of the large bags. I asked the clerk about it and he proceeded to get angry saying that they never carried that size and it must have been another store even though we hadn't been to another as of yet.... Customer service goes a long way and canine consultants just doesn't have it.

The staff is extremely helpful and if they do not know an answer to a question I have they find out. The super cool shop cat also helps you feel like you are walking into a pet shop who really cares for the animals they serve. There are so many options to choose from for treats, excellent food brands, toys, and pretty much anything you can think of. All the ingredients from there homemade treats are all listed right next to the products making it easy to know what you are putting into your dog. I love that they have options food and treat wise that benefit your dog instead of just fill him up. The strive to provide the best customer service and quality merchandise for your pets. It shows every time I come in there. I love it almost as much as I love my dog.

Amazing and knowledgeable staff. GREAT SELECTION! Staff are always kind, they helped us with our last dog and our new puppy. They took us around to see what treats our puppy would be interested in, and let him even taste a few before buying.

Personally, would not recommend.Outdated training style. During the initial consultation (which you pay for) before beginning classes, the trainer rambled on and on about himself and did not ask a single question about my dogs behaviors or my concerns. I decided to set up a first class anyways but due to their scheduling system (which they use a whiteboard for) when I showed up for my class the trainer was not even there. This mess up was on their end. They apologized for the mix up and offered a half off training class. I declined and decided I was better off not wasting any more money there.

Trevor trained my dog when she was a pup. Eight years later and she still uses those skills on a daily basis. We continue to shop for our dogs food from his suggestions and she is healthy and happy.Support your local businesses, the owners usually have your best interests in mind, along with the best experience you can find.

My veterinarian will always be honest with me. My vet. will take the time to explain everything to you and be honest about it. Been seeing my vet. For approximately around 30 years and I will always be her customer know matter what the outcome is. My dogs have always liked her.

This guy knows his dog food. I didn't get my dog trained here because the vet only recommended that problem dogs see him. My dog required a special diet and this guy talked to me for a good while going over the various choices he has to offer. Some of the brands are exclusive to this store in town. Little pricey

Great premium pet food selection and classes are their specialties. Their staff are kind and knowledgeable. They have a cat that wanders through the store, greeting customers. His name is Le Bouche.

Dog training review: I adopted an 8-10 month old American bulldog mix who showed signs of leash reactivity the day that I adopted him. After about 3 weeks, I was finally able to get on the schedule to bring him in for training. The trainer was so booked, there were no times except for 3:00 on Tuesday (impossible to fit in your schedule if you're a single working person). Meanwhile, I was fretting that my dog's behavior was getting worse with time. When we finally did go in, my dog barked at the trainer, and so the trainer's very first words to me were: "THAT's turning into aggression." I calmly responded, "That's why I'm here."Obviously he is a dog trainer, not an animal behaviorist, but I trusted the trainer enough to be able to evaluate a case and determine whether he'd be able to handle it or not. During our 30 minute evaluation, the trainer asked me approx. 2 questions and just rambled on most of the time. He told me that to halt behavior like this, the dog needs to sleep on his own bed, shouldn't be on the furniture, should learn to wait for his food, etc, things that we were ALREADY doing, but the trainer didn't take the 3 seconds to ask me about it. He just assumed. He made fun of me for the way I told my dog "no," (I use a sound, not a word), and he flat out said during his ramble, "People ask me about methodology, but methodology isn't important. Training the dog is just training the dog." This is not what I expect when I am hiring a trainer who boasts 25 years of experience. Lesson learned. At the end of our dollar-per-minute evaluation, the trainer's advice was that when my dog barks (out of fear) at people, I should yank on his leash and say "No!" I tried this for approximately 1 walk and ended up with blisters on my hands and a dog who couldn't understand why I would shout at him whenever he was afraid of something. In short, this trainer did not seem receptive; he did not consider the individuality of me nor my dog. I left the place in tears, feeling like a failure. I have since then contacted an animal behaviorist, and we have had very good progress after only one session. With 25 years of experience, it would seem like this trainer would learn to be at least a little bit receptive to individual people or dogs, and would know when to take his own ego down a notch when he sees a case that he should not/cannot handle, and refer them to the proper specialist. I didn't just waste my money with him; I felt TERRIBLE when I left the session, and my dog suffered because I had attempted to follow the trainer's advice. Never again.

This is the only place we get pet food. They have the best selection and prices on raw food, and are willing to order other sizes for us. We live in the neighborhood and can walk over, but would drive if we had to. We also like supporting a locally (neighborhood) owned business.

For a "trainer" that boasts 25 years of experience, this place is the absolute worst to take your dog.He follows the disproven "pack leader" mentality that you must punish your dog into submission and never allow yourself to show affection lest your dog try to "dominate" your household. He starts by improperly using a choke chain, then when that doesn't work he steps it up to an improperly placed prong collar. Both of these tools caused damage because I didn't know better but have since learned how to train my dog.If you want to buy equipment or food, Petco is cheaper. If you want to get your dog trained, hell contact me, at least I won't make your dog so aggressive that you have to put him down. If you want to know how to use choke and prong collars correctly, I'll gladly send you an email with both photos and the methodology behind how they work. Just hit me up on Google+
