I'm convinced there is a book here for everyone. There were so many rooms and walls filled with books. It had that wonderful old paper smell and there was an adorable, friendly puppy dog. The staff were very nice and fun to talk to. I will definitely be coming back!!

I found it. I found my favorite bookstore in the country.I’ve been to hundreds of bookstores as an avid traveler. I was in Lincoln for two days and had to pop into Bluestem. The inventory is unbelievable. Beautiful editions of all your favorite novels, a truly impressive collection of historical non-fiction and military related non-fiction. A great nature and outdoor section with some interesting rare, oddball titles, and a very under appreciated section on Indian histories. The most mind boggling part: it’s incredibly affordable. All bookstores should strive to be Blue Stem. My brother and I walked out with nearly more than we could carry. I rank it #1 in the nation just above John King in Detroit.Can’t wait to be back!

Amazing. Loved the feel of this place - staff was great - dog was extremely well mannered - and it was stacked full of books from floor to ceiling all well priced. Could truly spend hours there. Already looking forward to going back 📚💜

Very clean, tidy and orderly. Many cute, small rooms full of books. Everything is meticulously labeled and easy to find. There is a very sweet little dog in the store as well.

Both my wife and I went here looking for different books - she got hers, I didn't. Still you gotta love a place where you ask about a book and the owner tells you immediately which room to go to, which section of the room and the place on the shelf where the book might be found. This is a dream of a book store.

Best bookstore in Lincoln. Many Nebraska authors and a surprising number of new and first edition books. I've found the prices tend to be more reasonable than other area bookstores. If you are looking for a special book or a want a really nice copy this is the place. If you want to look through a nicely organized store and pick up an affordable copy of something you're interested in, this is also the place.

It was a very pleasant experience. I loved the warm cozy atmosphere. The visit service and street are also very kind and helpful. Whole I do Admit the store is rather small and crampt, but on my personal opinion the pros outway the cons. And they was A VERY ADORABLE dog.

Don't forget change for parking meters. Large used book store. Quaint & tidy & reasonably priced. A downtown treasure! Visit the dog who often "works" there. Childrens nook has a $1 book bin. Prices go up from there. They even have Spanish language kids books!
