Fun place with lots of vintage eye candy, Drea was my an excellent waitress, attending to me with a smile and professionalism.I had the chicken fried steak breakfast and mopped every bite up with my sourdough toast.Looking forward to visiting again.

I went in here around 11:00 pm on December 17 2023. The parking lot and fuel island weren't very impressive which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. But once inside this place was awesome. For anyone interested in vintage classic automobiles and antique petroleum dispensary items this place is great. It was so late and I was needing to go but I had to stay for a while. Inside the convenient store part there are classic antique trucks parked between some of the aisles, there are old gas pumps from the early to mid 1900's, and much more. Also the 2 girls working the counter that night were very sweet, friendly, courteous women.

This place has really gone down hill in the last year , very unfortunate! I tried to get a spot yesterday and the parking lot has become an abandoned vehicle lot !!! Dropped trailers, abandoned cars and trucks everywhere. I was really disappointed as one of the only Mom and Pops around, I always used to enjoy visiting here. This review is not meant to piss them off, but to bring attention to what a driver feels has happened, and to hopefully clean up the lot, so more truckers can have a place to park and enjoy this little gem.

It's a big place with lots of stuff; a big Chrome shop with lights and truck parts, just about anything and everything a travel center usually has and then some.... souvenirs trinkets, things like that, the restaurant is really nice; Little bit of a limited menu but reasonably priced, the only thing is the customer service is really lacking; the older ladies seem like they're not happy to be there both in the restaurant and at the store. They weren't rude or unprofessional or anything, just not very kind and don't say thank you don't greet you just little stuff that could improve, that's all I'm saying. Or maybe everyone was just having a bad day all at once. No need to mention the lousy parking lot because it looks like everyone else has covered that, but yes it's true they need improvement with painted lines for maximum efficiency/capacity. It's still one of my favorites within a 100 miles or so

Everything inside this truck stop is stunning, large showers really clean:)Choice for food subway and a family restaurant :)Large section for truck equipment:)LaundryThe only downside is the parking the local park everywhere!!! The parking is large but almost full with unhook trailer and car for saving the spot!!!I will definitely stop again :)

Don't get here often but always enjoy the food. Kariesha was my waitress this time. Excellent job. The decorations include a gasoline pump globe from my hometown. 1st time I saw it I was actually with my very first girlfriend from said town. So it holds a sentimental value for me too. Parking lot needs some attention and multiple dropped trailers and what appear to be abandoned trucks that need to be removed. Worth the stop. Not old school but kinda close.

I've been coming here for years, but this morning I walked away very disappointed and hurt, honestly, by the treatment I received from the staff today. I wanted to take a much needed and long over-due shower. I was given a key for #2. I went to turn it on, the handle clicks full circle and the water doesn't turn on. I turn it the other way, water turns on but remains cold and never gets hot even after turning the handle around. I go out and ask for a different shower. The lady at the counter argued with me then basically told me I didn't know how to operate a shower, but I did finally get another key and was able to take my shower. Upon handing me the second shower key she turns to her co-workers and says "I can't deal with people today." I've never been treated so cruelly by anyone at this location. I tried to get the employee's name from the MOD but was simply asked to walk away while the associate is still laughing at me in the background about how much of an idiot I must be. I don't know how I'm supposed to feel about all that, but I'm pretty upset about it.

This place is a dump, abandoned trucks and trailers everywhere there is very limited parking because of all the broke down stuff everywhere, been coming out this way for several months and still a abandoned flame bed with a bunch of mattress on it been there for over 3 months. Clean up ur truck parking and u may be able to get more business. Absolutely gross

Never find hot food unless you go to the restaurant, parking lot is always full, many dropped trailers and local drivers park here for extended time.

Everything was good other than the chicken fried stake it was kinda rubbery took one bite had to chew it for like 3 minutes also bread was covered in butter eggs had grease all over them and the breading for the chicken fried stake fell off if you want good food go to highway diner

We had a pleasant experience here, were able to fill up the tank and use the bathroom to brush our teeth and got some relieve. The place was clean and interestingly decorated with a classic pick up truck in the spacious shopping area. There was even a break room for the truck drivers work a TV.

A great alternative to other truck stops out there. Restaurant is good too... anything besides Denny's is always great. Unisex restrooms available. Laundry room has 3 washers and 4 dryers, although one washer was out of order. Shop has products that aren't found at the big three truck stop chains. Five stars because I want to see this place stick around for a long time.

They have a nice store. But the parking lot is full of local Nebraska truck. Drivers that just drop their truck in trailers. So the parking lot is full at night

I’m a local. Stop to have lunch with my wife, before heading out. This is unacceptable. POV’s parked all over the place. Junk trlrs in the back. Drivers doing maintenance in a parking lot and leaving their trash all over the place. This isn’t the first time I have made a complaint about this.When ask to speak with the manager or even the owner I get the same thing “they’re busy” I can only speak for myself…ill never go there again…it’s not worth it anymore.

Clean location with lots of items to shop for, including restaurant, fast food, convenience items, and touristy items. The decorations with old vehicles and fuel station items make it a place to stop for.

Don't waste your time getting off I80. They decided its more important to rent out 60%+ of their lot to individuals so there's no parking. Looks like a junk yard. Cars, dropped trailers, broke down trucks, everything but open spots.

Hard to find any parking. They should rename the place Shoemaker's Travel Center, pick a part, and drop lot. If by some miracle you can actually find a place to park, the restaurant has really good food with fairly reasonable prices.

This place is just a marvel in the field of truck stops! Been coming here for years and it's always been a great experience. Restaurant is good, subway for the quick bite, ice cream the pint for $2.20(!),won't get you a small cone at Dairy Queen(!), fresh donuts at 2 am, showers for $10 (you hear that greedy TA and the rest?), and everything else a trucker or traveler needs! Please, please don't sell out to a big chain! I'll be back!

Lots of truck parking, good food, neat store, waitress seemed to not care about her job or want to be there and restoraunt was kind of dirty but they do have TVs at every table. The showers were alright however the floors suck. The shower surround seems like a cheap way to go instead of having a nice tiled shower while the rest of the shower had nice tile. The edge of the floors seemed either aged or dirty.

So disappointed in this truck stop. Why can't they clean the old broken down trailers out and clean the lot up. Was always our favorite place to stop, but we won't be back. Clean your lot up and charge for parking if you have to, but have a little respect for the over the road drivers that can't find a spot to park.

Absolutely a horrible place to try to park at. They have more broken down pieces of junk trailers and broken down bobtails scattered over the whole place. Very dark at night with shady people driving personal vehicles in a d out constantly.

This is an older truck stop designed with the owner operators in mind. By that I mean it is enormous and has a lot of parking with the trust on the drivers to park straight so dont angle. However! I could only give it three stars as the lot, though large is infested with dropped trailers and 4-wheelers in the spots that should be for semi trucks!! Unless they pay for parking, the parking spot they take all day is adding to the gross deficiency with parking right now as it is!! Honestly, Shoemaker should have a designated area for local drivers!! There is a nice bobtail area in front of the pumps to park though. The store is clean and well maintained and wonderful to see their display of automotive history, primarily trucks of the 1920- 1930 era. There is plenty of touristy stuff to buy inside and the murals on the walls celebrating Route 66, it's origins and history. This is a good spot to have a bite in their restaurant. The prices are excellent and we really enjoyed their chili burger and Philly cheese steak sandwich. A very, very busy truck stop, so enter with caution, hopefully you will find a spot.

Staff is always friendly and helpful, and they have a big selection of food, snacks, drinks, as well as gifts, souvenirs, and truck related parts and accessories. I find it odd to say that look forward to stopping at a truck stop, but I always enjoy my visit here.

Nice place but they could have better parking space. Looks like a local drop yard with cars blocking spots and just parking anywhere they can . No organization at all. Just park and say that will do is the theme here. I’m going to say I won’t be back as if they care anyways.
