My husband and I have been coming to Vogl's for many years. I feel bad that I am just now getting to leaving them a review!This is our go-to spot for a quick fishing trip. Their cabins are affordable, comfy and very clean! Their store has everything you forgot and then some and they don't price gouge! The owners are super friendly and accomodate whatever you need.If you stay during the summer when the Admiral's Cove restaurant is open, they have really good food and are just down the road. The Boxcar restaurant is open year round and just a bit further down the road. They too have really good food, especially breakfast.Vogl's is a perfect spot and would be great for large groups as well since they have 2 houses to rent if you need to accomodate more people. I highly recomend!!

The rooms are OK for what you pay. The staff, however, was not good. I was cleaning fish on my second day there, and some older guy walked up and got all aggressive, telling me the cleaning station was private property, and was strictly for his guests, and could have the police there to remove me fairly quickly, without asking me my name, introducing himself, or anything like that to start the conversation. When I told him who I was, a PAID guest, he backtracked and started fumbling his words. Yeah, I won’t be staying there again. I’d advise that unless you enjoy being harassed by the owners for cleaning fish, you probably shouldn’t stay there either.

Still old expensive and out of touch with this townThe Cove or Stetsons at least try to keep up a good inventory and pricing. They have better pricing by far and offer great service.VOGLS has not spent time or money to make there services anything but what it is old, expensive and slow. Don't waist your money there support the other great business owners around the lake.Rooms: Old outdated dirty

Really nice place. My small cabin had good air-conditioning, a microwave, a small shower and even a stove. The people there were extremely nice and they have a fish cleaning station and lots of bait if you need it to go fishing. Close to some good fishing spots too. If you're on a fishing trip this is a great place to crash for a few days.

Our go to destination when visiting Lake McConaughy is Vogl’s in Leymone. The owner’s and family are very nice and work hard to make your visit great. Clean, comfortable cabins and a convenient well stocked store are very accommodating. Always look forward to our next visit. I highly recommend that you give them a try. I know you will be happy and a regular customer!
