I am sick and tired of the terrible help at this location. I will not be buying from them any longer due their total lack of regard for their customers.Every time I have interacted with a clerk, they act like they are doing a huge favor if you ask a question or try to locate something. The employees are rude and near impossible to find. They had one excellent woman working there but she does not seem to work there anymore. The workers do not smile or seem to care about the customers, at all.Sadly, the same can be said about the 'garden center'. I tried to buy some items the last week of May. I had spoken to a manager about the state of the plants. They were completely dried up or already dead. The store left the plants and trees out overnight during freezing temperatures. The manager brushed off my concerns. I went back on June 3rd and that is when these pictures were taken.The employees must be lazy, and the manager must be quite lenient. As you can see, not only are the plants left to die, but the state of the area is shockingly bad. Trash and broken pots, trees & signs that have fallen over, etc. We tried to pick trees back up and the would come out of the pot immediately due to being so dry and/or dead.Maybe the employees are working so hard hiding from the customers that they do not have time to clean up and take care of things.This same careless lack of regard is why they lose so many chicks in the spring. The heat lamps are set up on the side and most of the heat escapes. The poor babies freeze to death or smother from all of them piling up for warmth.This was a newly built store, the old one sits right behind it getting junkier looking all the time. It was a humongous waste of money to build the new one, considering how poorly it is run.=========================================================Below is my review from 2019. Obviously, things have only gotten worse since this one. I originally gave them 2 stars.The people that work there are either wonderful, friendly, and helpful...or they seem utterly clueless. This is one of the worst places to find someone that can help you if you have questions. It is almost as bad as Walmart. The poor clerks always seem to be bombarded with a line and other customers trying to ask questions because it's the only employee they can find.

Is now a Tractor Supply store. I'm not really impressed with their limited stock/selections. I liked Orschelns way better

Everyone at the store is super helpful. They'll search the stock room, dig through pallets, or walk from one end of the store to the other to find you multiple products when you need something. They work incredibly hard and they always do it with a smile and a ton of respect for their customers. Very knowledgeable and what they don't know they find out from someone else who does or do the research to get you an answer. I LOVE my store.

No one in orschein would help us we finally got a young man that check to see if they had the bricks we needed told him we needed 12 of them he came back to tell us thy had that many and we thought he would bring them up to the front but when we got up there the cashier act like it was a big task we paid for the bricks and told cashier we would wait outside buy our car for them we both just had knee surgery and was hard for us to lift a young man named Collin came out to ask if we was the ones needing the bricks this young man told us where to go in back with are car and helped us load the bricks we went threw 3 people in that store before we got a caring young man to help us we try to shop at home Collin needs a big at a boy thank you Collin for being at great worker thank you the wittrocks

I had the rudest cashier ever there today. Cassie was rude and condescending like I've never bought clothes before. ALL the jeans were marked the same, prices off clearly marked with signs and charged me $7 more for 2 identical pairs of jeans. She needs to find a job where she don't interact with the public or human beings ever. Because she treated every person in line the same way.

Employees are knowledgeable regarding the products they sell and can quickly direct you to the things you need. Great store hours, convenience and varity make their higher prices worth the shopping local. 👍

Really glad to have new Orscheln store in Holdrege. . .it's a great local resource for so many items.One suggestion: publicize the fish sale better. April 4, 2017 sale of catfish, bass, minnows, etc., for pond stocking purposes would likely have been much more successful if there had been mention in ad circular, or in local paper, or even sandwich board in parking lot for a month prior to truck arriving.

I really like Holdreges Orscheln store. Everything is so neat, tidy, and well stocked. So much to look at and prices are very reasonable. Oh, love there candy supply!
