We drove to Hastings from Omaha to visit friends. They took us here for ice cream. We loved the business concept to provide employment for the disabled. The staff was friendly, the ice cream delicious. My husband rated the shake a 9 out of 10. If they would have had sprinkles it would have been a 10. My cherry chocolate cone 1 scoop was huge, and oh so good! Will definitely be back next time we're in town.

The staff is usually really nice and the atmosphere is good. However, the manager did not honor the 4 ice cream sandwiches for $10 as advertised and refused to acknowledge it when I asked about it twice. He said they are $2.75 each. Kind of turned me off to the business. False advertising and could get them into trouble

What a wonderful place! The ice cream is delicious. What a great place for individuals with special needs to work and have fun. I would tell any who likes ice cream to swing by and support Special Scoops! My sister has special needs so it's very near and dear to my heart to see the community supporting these types of establishments.

We absolutely adore Special Scoops! Not only do they have an extensive ice cream flavor selection available, but they are delicious too! They also have great prices, so we can afford to leave a decent sized tip!

Completely decided to support this business for helping the special needs. Something that we believe strongly in. We ordered a shake, a malt and a float. There was only two ladies waiting for their order, as a dad and daughter behind us. We waited approximately 30 minutes for my son's malt and my wife's float. Both of those cups were half full, and they hadn't even started my shake yet. I thanked them and tild them we had to leave. They said okay and walked away. I hope everyone supports this business still. My suggestion would be to drop a five in the donation jar and go get a ice cream somewhere else. Wonderful concept, but we're better off teaching these individuals how to "properly" run a business. This should not be a novelty. This should be a great learning experience for all the employee's. Life skills at its finest!

A dish of ice cream was 1.50 for single scoop went in today they charged me 1.98 that's messed up. I like the ice cream but would been nice know a head of time they were raising their prices. We walked all way there just had enough for 1. Disappointed

We love comming here to enjoy a nice treat after school or really anytime!!! The staff are amazing and always super friendly to my kids!!! My daughter loves the brownie sundae and my son is a big fan of the superman ice cream!!!

If I could give this shop more than 5 stars I would! The best ice cream and kindest staff in town! The prices are incredibly affordable ($1-$5 items on the menu). The environment is very warm and inviting. I will definitely be buying ice cream only from this shop from now on!

Very delicious quality of ice cream served here. And they are adding pie to the menu to enjoy along with the ice cream. And you are served by people interested in making you feel as special as the ice cream. Prices are very affordable to make the stop even better.

Special scoops is great! There are lots of hand dipped ice cream flavors. You can have it plain, with toppings, between cookies or as a shake. And the staff are the best. Reasonable prices too.

We were there on opening day and I have helped special need people before in highschool my best friend has cerebral palsyand is in a wheelchair. I was there for him good times and bad. Helped him walk to get his diploma when we graduated. So glad to see this buisness open. I will bring my boy there every payday.
