Biggest Hyvee around (maybe in the Midwest). Brand new. Closest thing to an HEB I’ve ever been to outside of Texas. Clean, organized, and numerous selections. The wine and spirits area has a fantastic selection. Even cigar area!

I had no idea this Hy-Vee was here until a co-worker had told me about it. So of course that very night I had to check it out. This is a normal Hy-Vee on Steroids...It's huge and the section of products is crazy. (Although they didn't have the Oh Snapp pickled pineapple that I was looking for.) The bakery was gigantic and had so many mouth watering desserts to chose from. And every employee we talked to was incredibly helpful and friendly. But the reason I had to give them a two-star rating is because the prices are astronomical! Sadly my family and I cant afford to shop here.

Wow I had heard about this Hy-vee but just shrugged it off. Finally got a chance to come on here and was blown away! This is a top tier grocery store and more. There was a legit food court and bar, including a Wahlburgers franchise. The food was great, and there was even a sports gear section. Bathrooms were super clean.

Nice atmosphere, my youngest said "it's like a mall." Probably biggest floral section I've ever seen. Food court area was nice and Wahlburgers was on point.

This new "super" Hy-Vee has Starbucks, Wine & Spirits, a good seating area with lots of seating a sub shop, Italian food, Chinese, a grill (burgers, etc.), and a bar near the Wine & Spirits. It is spacious and well lit, with nice floral, bakery, and produce areas.

Beautiful store. However, Hyvee continues its practice of posting one price on the shelf and then charging a higher price at checkout. This brand new store proves to me that this practice is by design. They use all sorts of trickery to get you to put items in your cart thinking they are on special or discounted. But if you don't read the fine print on the tags and do not check that the tag matches the product instead of the one next to it and do not use their special member card and do not double check the prices at checkout, you are probably getting ripped off.I've seen this at all Hyvees I've been to even in other states.

This place is BIG. The food court was surprisingly large and varied. Burgers, Chinese, pizza, basicallyall the food groups are covered. All the departments were well labeled, too.

Quality grocery store with fresh produce and great staffing. We often come and get dinner before in the market grill. It's hard to beat Hy-Chi but we love their pizza and sushi as well.

Clean, modern, expansive, friendly staff… the list goes on and on! This new Hy-Vee is the nicest grocery store I have ever been in. They have a bit of everything from home goods, to sports gear, grilling gear, candy, and of course groceries.

Awesome store. Dining is great. Some prices are better than Walmart. But the best part, you can grab a beer at the bar and then take it with you while you're shopping. Makes going for groceries way more bearable.

This place has a bar with TVs that is nicely decorated and you actually want to hang out at, the alcohol section is one of the biggest and most aesthetically pleasing in town, there is a whole food court section that even has real fresh pressed orange juice. The beauty section carries a handful of sephora-level brands with testers. Definitely visit the gorgeous floral section where you can buy pre-made bouquets or select from an array of individual stems to build your own. Prices are high cause its Hy-vee and boujie, but it's so nice we're planning a date night here.

This is a beautiful new store in Gretna with all the amenities. I was surprised when I went to pay for my groceries that there were mostly self check and bag stations. When I think of Hy-Vee, I think of Customer Service and a helpful smile in every aisle which I didn't receive.

Update (2/17/24):It's become more obvious the larger self check-out lanes were closed off to curb "shrink"; there were two employees watching the cluster of self check-outs and my wife and I were being watched closely the entire time.I did email the store's email address with no reply. I don't expect anything to change; there's a reason why most shop at Hy-Vee compared to other stores so I'll up my rating from 2 to 3 stars.Original Review:Had been a great experience until the larger self check-outs were made unavailable (2/10/24 visit).Smaller clustered self check-outs don't offer the same convenience for larger shopping trips.Was told that this is a push for "more personable service", but I'm only interested in shopping and checking out in an efficient manner where I can make my own choice on how I bag my own groceries.Reducing choice does not make this shopping experience more personable it makes it more of a hassle.

I have been a loyal Hy-Vee patron for years at a location that's on my drive home. Gretnas Hy-Vee is a little off the path for me, but I plan to keep visiting this location and I'll explain why.The customer service here is absolutely out of this world! I know I am not alone when I say that taking care of the customer has completely gone by the wayside. Recently, I have used aisles to go for my purchases. The first thing that sticks out to me about this recent visit is the text I received from my shopper letting me know that the chicken I wanted was close date and would expire within the week, they asked me if I still wanted to add that to my order. Are you kidding me? How thoughtful! Secondly, while I was in store for an item that I forgot to add to my cart online, the associate directing customers to checkouts noticed that there was a basket kind of in my walking path. She stopped and moved it and apologized for it being in the way. What!? So kind! Lastly, when I went to pick up my grocery order from the back of the store the young associate came out with a thank you gift of a bag of popcorn and a bottle of water to say thank you for shopping with aisles online. That was just the icing on the cake for the treatment that I have experienced here. Thank you to all the associates that work hard everyday and have to put up with customers that may not be so grateful. And thank you to the manager who is working hard behind the scenes to make sure that the team is going out there and giving it their all. Well done! May it continue for years to come!

We are not really Hy-Vee people in general, but our experience today at this store was worth sharing. Some of the stuff we bought today must have either been mislabeled or in the wrong spot, as it rang up for more than it was listed for on the shelf. We also bought some premade crab cakes that were 2 days past their best by date. Watch your receipts and your labels closely.

The most amazing grocery store experience I've ever had! The female bartender was wonderful and knowledgeable. The cheese guy loved his job and was super helpful. Everyone from the time we entered the doors to time we checked out was friendly and helpful. The variety of products is impeccable from cheese to beer there's something for everyone. Truly a life changing experience.

First experiences at this store were fantastic. Another experience found oxidized salami on the shelf (completely brown). Unfortunately, today I spent over $400 on groceries and no one assisted with bagging them. At least 6 individuals were standing around and could have helped. I am not above bagging my own groceries but it is frustrating when that is a service Hy-Vee offers and I made a conscious decision to shop at Hyvee instead of Walmart. All cilantro in produce looked bad.

The store is amazing. The reason for the 3 star review is their seafood is AWEFUL. We tried their salmon that was in the case, 1 was cranberry stuffed, the other crab stuffed. I don’t know how long they had been in that case, but the top was hard, basically freezer burnt. The flavors were terrible and the “freshness” was not “fresh”. Store= 5-stars, seafood=0 stars

Tonight at Hyvee as I was shopping the fresh baked bread, I noticed an employee dumping numerous loaves of bread into a big gray garbage can. I ask him if he was throwing bread away and he stated “yes, all of this will be thrown away”, gesturing to the entire bakery showcase. Another worker echoed this statement and said it was their “end of the night” procedure. I asked if I could have some of the loaves they were about to throw away to give to others I knew that are struggling. They stated they would give me the product at full price. I asked if they would give it to me for free since they obviously were going to throw it in their gray garbage can. The workers laughed at me and said no, again stating they would sell it to me at full price. I was not asking for handouts or anything for personal gain. Rather to help others in need and prevent food waste. Hy-vee, do better and be better.

We love the wide selection of grocery items at this location, HOWEVER, every time we go, the pricing on the shelves does not match the pricing we pay at the register. If the pricing is contingent on having a HyVee card, I scan mine from my phone every time I shop and I do not get discounts or gas credits.Unfortunately, because the economy is already so tough, we will not be shopping at HyVee due to how overpriced everything is. Target is MUCH cheaper.

The floral department is amazing, Brenda needs a raise! I ordered flowers for my Grandma, today was her and her late husband's 70th anniversary. Brenda let me know that the delivery drivers were being sent home due to bad weather and the order would not arrive until tomorrow. I asked to cancel my order as I was wanting flowers today but Brenda insisted on delivering the flowers herself. Such kindness and care that was truly appreciated <3 you're the best, Brenda/Floral Dept!

I recently had the pleasure of being assisted by Mallory, a young girl at the store, and I must say she was incredibly helpful. Despite her young age, she displayed exceptional knowledge about the products and went above and beyond to assist me with my questions and concerns. Mallory's enthusiasm and willingness to assist made my shopping experience enjoyable and stress-free. It's refreshing to see young individuals like Mallory who are dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Keep up the great work!

Asked for price check on an item. Cashier couldn’t get to ring up. I questioned policy on free item. Cashier said manager had to approve it. Manager came over. Never spoke to us. Figured out a price. Cashier rang it up even though we had asked for price check. I questioned policy on item being free and manager did not respond. Not impressed at all with Manager-aren’t they supposed to acknowledge customer rather than ignore them?

Great store and it's huge! Tried a sample at the meat department for clam chowder and bought it because it was delicious. Brenda gave some great tips and recommendations for spicing it up a bit, which worked out perfectly.

I was blown away by this HyVee. Not only is it immaculate but the different areas such as the bakery, charcuterie, etc. are quite impressive. I actually cannot wait to go back, 30 mile drive is worth it.

Market grill what can I say waited 45 min for breakfast with a four year old. Then I watched some managers, order their food and get their food instantly. Makes me disgusted . I’m here spending money in your store. Take care of your customers. Just because you’re a manager in the store doesn’t make you better than your customers that pay your bills.
