I love this store. Living in Gretna for 34 years, this is a huge plus to the town. I walked in there tonight at 7:30pm and did my normal shopping as I do every other night and I was the only person in there. I get everything I need, no issues. Get to the self checkouts and I had minor issue with taking a bag off the scale too quick. Although not alerted, an employee came over to see what the issue was. After that, things went down hill. I continued on with my business, still with no issue. There is about 6 employees standing at the cash registers looking at me. Then I hear one of them over the loud speaker call for extra help at the self checkout. I WAS THE ONLY PERSON AT THE SELF CHECKOUT!!!! I felt like a thief! Like I was totally being watched for being completely innocent! Then, they insisted on this kid to help me carry out my groceries, which is not a big deal at all. But he got an earful, and I feel terrible as it was not his fault. But it makes me feel as though I never want to go back to Fareway. What a terrible experience!

Fareway Meat & Grocery has a wide variety of steaks, chops, roasts, and other meats, all of which are high quality USDA Choice or Prime.I recently visited Fareway Meat & Grocery in Gretna, Nebraska, and I was very impressed with the meat selection. I was able to find a cowboy ribeye that was absolutely phenomenal. The steak was perfectly marbled, and it was cooked to perfection. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had and was a great accompaniment to our 4th of July weekend celebration.In addition to its excellent meat selection, Fareway Meat & Grocery also has a wide variety of other grocery items. We love to shop local and this is our preferred Fareway location.The staff at Fareway Meat & Grocery is friendly and helpful. They are always happy to answer questions and make recommendations. I would definitely recommend Fareway Meat & Grocery to anyone looking for a great place to buy high quality meat or other groceries.

I love that they post daily deals on Facebook, produce is always fresh and they insist on taking your groceries to your car like the olden days!

Nice newer location in Gretna. Store is well organized, stocked and has friendly employees. The meat counter is where I enjoy stopping. Chicken Grillers are a favorite of mine. Excellent hamburger, bacon, Windsor loins, stuffed mushrooms and stuffed jalapeños. Plenty parking and handicap accessible.

My first stop at a Fareway. We just moved from the South. What a great experience. I love the meat department. It's like an old fashioned butcher shop. The employees were friendly and attentive. I think I just found our new grocery store.

Wonderful grocery store!👍👍👍I first discovered Fareway in Sioux City many years ago. I was totally impressed at that time, especially they're awesome meat department! I have shopped at a few Fareways since then and they have never disappointed me. My dad's profession was a meat cutter, so I know what a good meat department should look like. And these guys rock!

Have shopped here a few times the store is always clean and well kept and the service is outstanding. In this time of check yourself out this place goes the extra mile to empty your cart bag your groceries and take them out to the car

Love this new store that has come to Gretna. The staff are really friendly and helpful and always smiling. They have great sales, but their regular food prices are high. But its the same most anywhere else you want to shop except Walmart.

Mike at the meat counter is awesome and gives great recommendations! I would give this 5 stars based just on the customer service alone, but it seems like every item I take a liking to in the main grocery store disappears shortly after I try it.

This was a wonderful experience! The selections are fabulous, there are people to help you if you need help, prices are great, I did not have to check my own groceries out, and they had someone carry my groceries out and put them in the back of the car. I will definitely start shopping here.

Clean nice store! Good prices but customer service at check out it horrendous. I literally got stalked all the way to my car because this poor girl who was pushed to follow me after I said I will bring back my cart inside and everything that I just want my space. It was a serious non appropriate/respectful boundary issue with their “policy” . However peoples space should be respected period. The car lot isn’t big or anything. And customers should feel that their space is respected. These are kids they are teaching to not respect personal space/boundaries and that is a serious ew. I walked with this girl who was forced to follow me as I heard her manager tell her since it’s not her fault. And let’s just say I was extremly unimpressed with this said managers behavior. I’m a business owner myself and I would never force my employees to do something they don’t feel is right or okay. Other than that issue it’s fine. But my family and I will just go to target or Walmart Atleast since boundaries arnt respected here.

I thought there was prices were a little high but I went into a different grocery store today fairways prices are cheap compared to this store and their meat selection I do bill is better and fresher than then other store so yes I will go back to fairway

I just feel the urge to send this company a 5 star review. I was brought to tears by my friend’s social media post today - sharing that this company has made such a big impact on her son’s life.Part of her post said:I could not be more thankful for companies like Fareway that hire kids like my son- teaching him incredibly meaningful skills for life. This Fareway is absolutely impeccable it looks like a museum and everything is in pristine condition. I would go anytime of day. My friend happened to lose her phone and they let us in past closing to look for it, so sweet of them. I will definitely be coming back.
