Good ole dollar general, where generally 1 dollar 💵 can get you 1 of many items that cost $1. Of course, not EVERYTHING is only a dollar. (This ain't the magical dollar tree). Like check out the photo of what's in my bright yellow bag today. All $1 each have you. I must say, if it weren't for this general guy and his generous offerings of value price merchandise, I probably would have starved a long time ago. I hope the general lives forever!

This store carries many items that are available at larger, name brand stores. BIG Difference they are much more inexpensive. The service is good and employees are very helpful. So if you are trying to save some money in this high price grocery time, I strongly recommend Dollar General. We utilize it for many products and some of the products that they carry are very surprising as well as good quality finds. ENJOY!!

I rarely go in here and see the same face for more than a month. The people who work there usually aren’t very personal and seem to hate their jobs. Tonight I had a guy named Tanner help me out! He went above and beyond to help me look for a product! He also had a smile the whole time! Keep him around!

Decent place for picking up a few odds and ends. A typical Dollar General experience. Some things are more expensive than you'd expect, some cheaper.It is nice to have an additional general goods store within Gretna.

Absolutely rediculous that this is one of two places that are in Gretna available to buy essentials (baby diapers and wipes) and they can't be open before 8am, when most people in the community have to be at work by 8 and it's a huge inconvenience not being able to stop before work or even those who have childcare drop off and need items for the day.

This store which is advertised as being open at 8:00 AM was not open at 8:30 when I was there. I waited a bit and saw at least 8 other customers try the door and leave. I left also. If they don't keep their hours, I wonder how the store is kept. I've never been here before, but won't come back. Poor business practice in my opinion.

This is by far the most terrible dollar general i have been to. I normally love dollar general however this one there system has been down since the 30th so they only allow cash. The place is always a mess. The manager this is just terrible she is always on her phone and just rude. The store is so dirty. I have never seen a dollar general look the way this one does. Witch is weird gretna is a decent size city and one of the most expensive citys to live in. They have a tereible dollar general ill drive the 10 extra miles to go to walmart or the dollar general in springfeild that one looks magnificent.

Would have give 5 stars but every time I go there the manager is outside smoking right buy the front door and they leave their cigarette butts all over. Right buy the front door so you have to walk through them not a good look for a store

Poor cooling in the summer. Tie off your bags from elsewhere if you're popping in on foot unless you want some serious shade thrown your way. Crowded and messy. Why didn't you pick dollar tree?

I have bought duscounted movies from the Dollar General store in Gretna 3 times. I ususlly purchase 3 or more used movies when I do buy. 2st time out of 4 movies. 1 movie package was missing the movie ( no disc inside)).) The 2nd time I purchased several movies and a lot of other things, (the movies were for my father who was in the hospital.When I looked for the movies to watch with my dad, i could not find them. I thought I had lost them.Today I purchased over $100.00 of items, including 3 movies. Guess what? I got home, AND NO MOVIES!I called the phone number on my receipt. All i got was a recording asking for a pin #. Looked the phone number on Google an called it. "Phone Number Out of Service!"

It's great to have this store close to home even though I don't necessarily care to shop here. It is great for last minute items or little things I forgot at Walmart.

Over the last 6 months, filthy, poor management and aisles alwaysfull of trash, unstocked merch, carts that are supposed to be for customers, etc. ThisTis constant. I'll go elsewhere, thanks.
