Our sweet Princess Shami Nami Poopy Pants, had an accident and got pretty hurt, this wonderful LOVING people took her in and cleaned her up got her treated. When she wasn't handling thing well they took her back and cared for her. In an unfortunate event she wasn't able to recover and she passed, but I commend the hospital for excellent care and the love they showed my baby

Adopted an amazing Keeshond pup from here, seems they have a nice relationship with the breeder down the street. They were fantastic with communication, and the pickup was effortless, very happy with this pup. That said, they hadn’t exactly done their due diligence with deworming these dogs, my pup is absolutely riddled with hookworm, roundworm, tapeworm, and giardia. The local vet was in awe of his worm infestation.Easy enough to treat, I just with this shelter had treated him upon intake, as they were aware of his stomach problems which are usually a sign of parasites.Still, I’m not sure how long they had him or what the breeder conditions are like. Adopt from here if you’d like, they’re friendly and love their animals, just make sure to deworm ASAP!

I took my cat in for a yearly visit and had three vaccines, the next day my cat can not walk and is struggling to jump, her back leg is hurting where they administered the shots, I call and explain to them all they say is take her to another vet. Horrible place would not recommend they don’t care and it’s dirty in there filled with random animals just walking everywhere scaring the pets that visit terrible service absolutely rude techs and receptionists!!

We brought our blue and yellow macaw, Jessy, in because he had a fungus infection. They treated us so nicely. Me and my Son Josh were so weary and thinking it was gonna be $200 to $230 for both medications and the visit. But they only cost us $45. I recommend them so much. They were so nice and just wonderful. I don't have words to describe how good they were. We went from Lewellen all the way to Grant. And trust me it was worth the drive, I recommend them more then any other.

I had a very sick puppy that I had taken to another vet before I had taken her to Dr. Jensen and the other vet almost killed her. By the time I found Dr. Jensen Heartlie was almost gone and Dr. Jensen and her staff spent a few days nursing her back to health. I will never again take my animals anywhere else. I live an hour away and it's completely worth it. She and her staff are compassionate, caring, know what they are doing and are affordable. What more could you ask for?

Dr. Jensen is the best vet you can find. She really cares for your pet. She is very knowledgeable and excellent at trauma. We were bird hunting and our hunting dog got shot by accident and Dr. Jensen took incredible care of our dog checking on him thru the night. The dog is fine now thanks to Dr. Jensen's great work and care.

Dr Shannon Jensen is one the the kindest and caring vets I know. Took care and time with all three of my dogs. (one of the dogs I adopted from her shelter) We are lucky to have Dr Shannon and her staff!

Dr. Shannon Jensen is my hero! I could drive to closer vets, but I won't!! I live exactly one hour away from her clinic door and sometimes it's a drive full of anxiety and tears. Not to worry! This gal is amazing! She can look at an animal - "Oh I know what's going on here" - and poof! All figured out - correctly! Of course, having graduated from Colorado State U ((repeatedly in <at least> the top 3 vet schools in our country . . . . and they can easily take only the top students. . . . y'all keep that in mind!! Kansas and Iowa vet schools can't touch CSU!)) means that this vet is tops in her field. There may be another CSU/small animal vet in my area. . . . but I've been here 15 years and haven't found anything that can touch Dr. Jensen! For those of us who want and need a vet that specializes in the companion animals (I'd say 'small', but one of my dogs is 120#s. . . ) Dr. Jensen is IT! I've read other posts and they elude to her calm demeanor. Let me tell you, that this calm demeanor is what works wonders on these scared, sick pets - and their guardians!! So level-headed and so intuitive and so in synch with these creatures. Go elsewhere at your pet's peril!

Dr. Jensen is awesome. I would not take my dogs anywhere else. My two dogs have been going to her since they were puppies and she has resolved every issue they have had, and takes them on an emergency basis when needed.

Shannon Jensen and her WONDERFUL Animal Hospital is Hallowed Ground. I got my little poodle guy, Sailor, from Perkins County Animal Hospital, a No-Kill Shelter, in Western Nebraska about eight years ago. We continue to return every year for the usual things my FurBabies need: rabies shots, and ESPECIALLY Doggie Dentals! I now have two more Rescue FurKids. I. Additional to Sailor, I have Rudy, and Lily Butt.Dr. Jensen is Smart AND Intelligent and her heart is Great! I am impressed with this unassuming woman. Here's The Hallowed Ground Part: my Sailor was our Only Child at the time. Sailor was on the ottoman with me and he made a small noise, jumped down and went to the bedroom. My husband picked up Sailor and asked, "What's wrong with Sailor?" Well, heck, he was fine while on the ottoman. I go to the bedroom and Sailor "wasn't there!" Because it was after ten p.m. on a Saturday night and we live in Southeast Denver, we pretty much had no choice but to take our Precious Baby to Alameda East Animal Hospital. (The Original animal hospital featured on Animal Planet.) We KNEW that going to Alameda East for an Emergency was going to cost my husband OR me one of our limbs and probably a lot of body hair removed with tweezers. Now that Alameda East is "Famous", they can charge FurParents "up the butt" because we are afraid for our babies.Well, sure enough, there was an "extra charge" because we "didn't have an appointment". Alameda East was Happy to "Up$ell" us to an Expen$ive test, which would need a $pecialist "to read it". On the Original Exam upon our arrival, the Emergency Doc could not tell if Sailor had had a stroke, or if he had an inner ear infection. They offered to keep Sailor overnight to see if he would have another "episode". I threw the "I'm elderly and live on a Fixed Income" card, and they reduced some of the $cary Fee$.I picked up Sailor the next day and he was "kind if all right", but he walked with his body "crooked". It was like watching a car that has a bent frame.Monday morning early, I called Perkins County for an Emergency Appointment. Sailor and I headed out. It's a three and a half hour hour drive. When we arrived at Perkins County, we sat in the waiting area. A local man came rushing in, "Can you come with a stretcher, I can't get my dog out of my car. There's something Really Wrong with her. The Vet Tech went out with a towel and a stretcher. They came in, walking the dog with the towel under her hindquarters. They went right in to the exam room, Dr. Jensen followed them in, the door closed, and Magic "MUST have happened"! Soon, Dr. Jensen, the man, and his dog WALKED out of that room!!! They all went outside to watch the dog walk and when they came in, Dr. Jensen suggested x-rays to see what they could discover about the dog's gait, which was not quite normal. I was Seriously Impressed! A dog that couldn't walk WALKED!Then it was Sailor's and my turn. My little crooked dog and I went into "The Magic Room". Dr. Jensen comes in, calmly listening to me as she did a Full Neurological Work-up, and she took blood. Dr. Jensen's diagnosis was that my Precious (but bent) FurBaby had an Inner Ear Infection. With the Emergency Appointment, the Neurological Work-up, blood test, antibiotics, ANNNND (I can't help myself) several rolls of vet tape (because Life isn't about beige tape!) and two stainless steel bowls, we paid $198. Oh, and it took half a tank of gas. Here's the Second Part of The Hallowed Ground story: not ONLY did "the dog who couldn't walk" walk, but my little "C-shaped" Sailor walked out of the clinic with his body straight! HALLELUJAH! Hallowed Ground that I experienced twice in one day!!!Shannon Jensen's Perkins County Animal Hospital is Top-Notch! It is WELL-WORTH a short drive and a half a tank of gas. I'm not afraid that my armpit hairs will be removed with tweezers, nor will I be hobbling out minus one leg. The procedure and the information is explained clearly, and I'm not Fear Driven. Thank you, Dr. Jensen!

I had a terrible experience here. It seemed they didn't want my dogs to stay and play with other dogs. They were unfriendly and rude. I was very disappointed since I just moved here. I don't recommend them for a dog friendly daycare and staff were not nice.

It's a great veterinary office. Good doctors and Surgeons, who are open minded to, finding and trying, new treatments, surgeries, and different alternative approaches in care.
