This is an exceptional and unique big dog park/beach. It has benches, poop bags, trash cans, restrooms (closed in fall/winter), water (off in in witner), parking about 30 ft away. It's mostly sand and water with some brush and trees. here's a separate area for small dogs. They essentially turned a peninsula into a dog park. There is water on three sides and a fence on the other. The fence is mostly a 4-ft chain link fence but near the water there is a section of 3 ft wire fence. There are also lots of birds so this may not be the best place if your dog has a tendency to bolt/chase animals. There is a full agility set up but on the small dog area only. Not many dogs and a few owners not picking up waste. Otherwise amazing spot.Restrooms: Right by dog Park but closed October-AprilDog-friendliness: It's a dog park so very dog friendly.Picnic area: Picnic table on other side of restroom building

Gorgeous dog park discovered on a recent cross country trip. Water was iced over, but tons of sandy beach for pup play. Really nice spot and worth the 4 mile trip off of I-80.Restrooms: Didn’t use the restrooms but nice there are some located there.Dog-friendliness: Only ran into 4 other dogs, but all well behaved and playful.

Was very pretty and peaceful.First time visiting when my pup was in her last moments.I wish Zowie could have enjoyed the beach and water, but she was just too weak.I would have stayed longer but the water fountain wasn't working.So just a heads up? Bring a bowl and some water just in case.I'll definitely bring my other pups here.

This dog park is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! We stopped through on a road trip to allow our pup (and us) to have a break and have some fun. The fenced off peninsula area is so wonderful to run free and explore the different beach areas. Definitely a highlight of our trip because of how much our pup enjoyed it!

Clean lake and restrooms. The water fountain wasn’t working so bring some water or you can fill a bowl in the restroom if they’re open. The small dog area has “playground” equipment while the large dog/all dogs area access the lake.Restrooms: Very clean and stocked with toilet paper. No hand soap.

It would be better if people picked up after their dogs, and maybe benches on the big dog area. Overall is a nice place for the doggies.

Fantastic dog park. Went here multiple times while visiting Hastings. Was able to pull my 30’ trailer in for lunch once with plenty of room to turn around. Dogs loved the water and everyone we met was nice. Would stop here again traveling across country on I-80. Its not too far off the interstate.

This dog park is amazing and has so many places for the dogs to stretch their legs and wander around in the water, woods and open spaces. We've been to many dog parks across the country and this is by far one of the best! Thanks GI for having such a special place for our 4 legged friends😊

Great spot! Nearby KOA RV Tent Camp spot as well. Friendly reminder since we saw an issue while there... Be certain not to crowd the gates. New visiting dogs may have a lot of built up energy / anxiety. Allowing your pets to crowd gates is like asking for an issue. Let the new dogs come in and unwind a bit before letting your dogs pounce on them. ;)

I only use the horseshoe path around the small lake. Pleasant to walk around and let my girls run loose when no one else around. The only gripe is the growing number of people that are too lazy to pick up after their charges. It is getting pretty bad out there, not at all like when I first started 7 years ago. I walk out there every day.

Great place! We're not really able to let our rescue pup off leash in the wild and this is about the closest he'll get. He loved the wilderness areas, the beach and the water and with it being a fenced peninsula, surrounded by water on three sides we knew he'd be safe, no matter what critter took his fancy. Really quiet midweek evenings.

Loved the park because of the area and separate area for small dogs, however because of the algae bloom my dog got very sick. He was bleeding out of his behind consistently for two days and had horrible diarrhea. Park needs to be closed until algae is gone because it can seriously harm or kill your pet.

This is a beautiful park with a great layout. We have smaller dogs and used the small dog area. Great obstacle course. Just be aware of very sharp burs in the small dog park. Our puppies had them all over their feet.

Took my husky here and she got to run more freely than she likely ever has in her life. Lots of different terrain to keep the pooch occupied and poop bags were stocked. 10/10 would come back to Grand Island just for this park!
