Bought a 2018 TREK Domane ALR 5 Disc Gravel Bike from my local bike shop but they couldn't get it dialed in to shift smooth and run clean after numerous attempts and 900 miles in a few months. They offered to sell me a pair of earplugs for a dime vs. listen to what I was asking and make the adjustments!!!I heard about Bad Dog Bikes in Fremont and made a visit. Talked to Bill a few times and was very impressed with the shop, his confidence and level of experience so I brought the Domane in and let him have a crack at it.It was such an awesome experience! He listened to what I was describing and checked everything out thoroughly making careful and calculated adjustments while explaining to me what he was doing and what was happening.In a matter of a few minutes he had the 105 components all adjusted and was able to shift clean and smooth up and down the cranks and cassette with no grinding or chatter. Bad Dog Bikes is my new go to bike shop now and will be getting all my business going forward; especially this fall when I'm in the market for a new Fat Tire!Update: Got my 2019 Framed Alaskan Carbon 27.5" Fat Bike from Bad Dog Bikes and it has been nothing but a pleasure to ride. Again Bill has gone above and beyond and taken great care of me. I will be back for more bikes and Service!!! ;-)

Bill does a great job with service and repairs. Prices are good, and he sells brands of bikes that you don't find elsewhere in the area, such as Focus and Masi. Wonderful shop that we are lucky to have in our community.

I absolutely recommend bad dog bikes. Normally if you want good quality at a great price you have to go to Omaha. Bill will get you bikes those stores can't get at prices they can't touch. He'll work with you and take the time to answer any question you have.

I purchased a new from Bill and it was a GREAT experience. He cares about the person and what bike to get you into asks lots of questions and was very helpful. Bill is not only the owner but a avid biker himself and is full of knowledge about biking and the bikes themselves.I highly recommend this store to anybody looking to bike whether you are a beginner or a seasoned vet !

I had my son's bike in the shed and decided to have it repaired if needed so I could start biking some. I have back issues and wanted to talk to someone about this bike and will it work for me long term. Bill was friendly and full of knowledge. He said the bike needed service that he could provide for $59.00, but also let me know that this is not the bike for me long term. It wasn't set up for my weight. I had the bike fixed and when it was done went to pick it up. The repairs were just what was quoted. I did add a bigger seat for comfort, which did add to the price. I told Bill that I had been looking at e-bikes, and I felt that might be the way to go if my back acted up riding, I could use the ease of peddling to get home. He explained e-bikes to me and also showed me what he had in stock and transit. My wife dug our daughter's bike out of the shed, and it was in rough shape. Bill looked at it and, in his head said it could get to $150. in repairs. It was a Schwinn frame and probably worth the fix so we gave the approval to fix it, but if it would be over $150. he should not repair it. I got a call a couple of days ago that the bike was done. It only ended up costing $65.00. What a great surprise. Thank you, Bill.

I've been looking for a good "do anything" bike. To get what I want in a Trek, Cannondale, Specialized, or other mainstream brand, I'd have to pay $1200+ There are online options that lower this price to the $850-$1000 range, but there's no service. Even at this pricepoint, getting a proper fitting bike that has been assembled well is important.I checked out Bad Dog after my Brother in Law told me about them. What a great place. Bill stocks "different" premium brands than you'll find at typical bike shops. Don't let the unfamiliar names scare you. Cervelo is as high end as they come, and Focus is a premium German Brand. I purchased a Masi Gravel/cyclocross bike. Not only did I pay less than what I was shopping for online, it has a higher spec (10 speed Tiagra vs 8 speed Claris or 9 speed Sora).Bill knows that even a $200 fixie is an expensive bike for some people and will make sure you leave the shop with the right bike that fits you and your budget. A local gem.

I actually prefer to shop at places where I can look at what I will potentially purchase. This guy was an a$$. He actually raised his voice and said he didn't like us touching the things in his store. Mind you, this is not young kids tearing it up but adults shopping for bike parts. If I want to shop and not look at product up close I'll just shop online. Would recommend any bike shop over doing any business with this guy. He is one of the reasons Fremont small businesses just don't work out. Also...when stating we liked a specific part he recommended buying a cheap part and putting a sticker for the other part on it...hope that's not how he does his business.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for a shop that is willing to look at my bike, tell me nothing's wrong with it, and then not charge me much for the check-up. In the future (if my bike gets a real issue and needs repaired) I will be sure to come to Bad Dog Bikes.
