My wife and I came in Saturday the 3rd approximately around 6:30pm to make a return. We entered the customer service to two lady employees standing behind counter talking as we walked up to counter. We were the only customers there at the time and we stood there for roughly a minute or 2. The 2 employees didn't even acknowledge our existence! I was directly in front of one of them at a computer when she moved down a computer and just stood there still not acknowledging us. I finally said hello what is going on? They both looked dumb founded. It was extremely awkward! Not impressed. The customer service was non existent. Wow that's all I can say!

Menards is usually a fairly quick shopping experience. The 11% rebate is nice. And, there are so many things other than DIY stuff. This trip I got a large bag of wild bird seed, salted in the shell peanuts, and double stick tape. Lots of variety.

My wife bought a battery-powered snow blower from this location. i picked it up and the pick up was super easy. a nice kid helped put it into my car. i got the snow blower home and as i started to put it together, i noticed there was a piece missing from the box. a small knob that threads onto a bolt that holds the handle on.now, i'm no dummy, and i figure i should contact the manufacturer directly to see what they suggest. i find the 1-800 number in the owner's manual, but when i call i get a recording that the call center is closed. so i contact Menards to see if they could help me figure out a temporary work-around. maybe they have a knob in stock?i called and spoke to the manager of that dept and explained to her that i was missing a knob from a snow blower i'd purchased that morning (there were supposed to be two knobs in the box, but i only had 1). she immediately suggests that i call the 800 number. i told her i'd already tried that, but the call center was closed. she told me to try to call the call center again the following day. i asked if there was anything else that would work, but she said all i could do was call the number. of course, snow was set to start falling that evening, so i was eager to get the snow blower working. when i asked if there was anyone else i could speak to (WHICH I HATE TO ASK) she said she was the manager.so i took the knob i DID have to Ace Hardware, along with the part it needed to screw onto. the kid working there helped me find a piece that would work. he found a wingnut that didn't match in appearance, BUT the threads matched and it worked perfectly...it cost 99 cents. see below for photos. THANKS, KID.i don't relish leaving bad reviews, and like i said, the pickup was super easy at menards....but it seems like lately i feel like i have to coax good customer service out of folks who would rather give me an 800 number than try to come up with a simple solution...that's lousy. bottom line, it helps when your employees have some knowledge and can think outside the box, especially when dealing with a customer who'd just spent a decent chunk of money for something that was missing pieces. because seriously, if this manager had said, "hey, let's figure something out," instead of rushing me off the phone, this would be an altogether different review. she didn't even try to ask which part was missing or anything.(btw, the snowblower worked pretty well)

They helped us load a deck and their entire team came to help. Thank you all so much greatly appreciated!!! Not one complaint and they were all working after to close they just all chipped in and got it handled.

Had to make several trips for a project that, surprise, was more than we'd planned. On June 24 and 25, we saw probably 20 employees. EVERY single one was helpful, friendly, efficient, patient, and good humored. The store is always clean, organized, and well stocked. The prices were better than any other posted prices around our area. Great experience.

In November they already have a big selection of sleds for winter. Good quality and cheap $5 Amaryllis bulbs. My Amaryllys grew a huge flower stem in just 14 days.

First time customer at this location. Met a terrific person named Lee who was absolutely, one of the Best employees I have ever met. The gentleman personally walked us through the whole store showing us where everything was located on our list! This guy is a SUPER STAR in our book!Thank you, Lee!

Long time customer but no more. My hubby and I were going shopping in the OUTDOOR Garden center and we brought our little well trained puppy along in a leash. We walked through the gates and were ACCOSTED by a woman employee screaming at us “get your dog out of here! No pets!” I said WHAT? She screamed it again but louder. I have never been so insulted or treated so poorly in my life. Done! No more Menards!

I don’t go to any other home improvement store. They may be a bit more expensive on some items. I don’t know. But the knowledge I get from the associates, from what I need and how to install/apply it is worth any extra cost I may pay. I’m a novice when it comes to DIY projects so I rely heavily on their knowledge. Specifically, Joel and Bryan in plumbing helped me out a bunch recently fixing a couple of leaks with the water meter pipes. But even when I shop for things other than DIY projects, Menards (Elkhorn and Dodge St) have a lot more people on the floor to assist me.

As a general statement, not really a big fan of menards. I can never find what I'm looking for, like zipties. However, the last trip I made, I lost my rebate card and just thought someone took my 15 dollar card. Turns out, 2 days later, someone must have found it(I retraced my steps once I realized it was missing) and menards mailed it back to me. Here's to you menards!

Allison in the paint department did an amazing job multi taking multiple customers alone. Despite seemingly being left in the lurch by her elder female co worker, Allison did amazing juggling all of our needs while making space to help educate each of us on the products we were purchasing and throwing in tips and tricks! Her flow of giving each of us quality service made it well worth the wait to recieve help from her over her counter part.

I LOVE this Menard's. I often go - about once a week to find an item for my current project. This summer I renovated our home before putting it on the market so I spent a lot of time at the store. I was always able to find someone to help me and they always seemed very happy to do it. They also run their 11% rebate regularly so if I know I have a big project coming up, I make my list and try to get everything on those weeks. It is such a great way to build customer loyalty. I've gone on several shopping trips and used my entire reward check to pay for my purchase! If you need help finding an item, this would be a great store for any of your home improvement/gardening needs.

After reading most of the reviews on this place I find it funny how everyone gets mad but never says anything. They wait and type it out on here so nothing can be done about it. People are comparing it to Walmart when they are no way close related. If a Menards employee is busy he will tell u where to go but usually will put down what they are doing to lead u to where it is. This place is the most helpful and amazing place anywhere near here. The carry outs will drop what they doing to come and help you even if it wasn’t called on the radio. Also yes Menards is a job where new people do get hired a lot so most of them are still in training. But that gives the customer no right to get mad. The managers and everybody in the store is friendly unless u show attitude and us being humans are gunna show u the same energy. All u have to do is speak up and u will be heard.

I enjoyed my visit to the Elkhorn Menards this evening. I have a couple home projects in mind so I talked to people in a few departments and got some advice and ideas. It was off peak hours of business on a Thursday not many shoppers so it was easy to find an employee to assist me.

We were in search of ceiling fans and when we were unable to find anything we liked in the other home improvement stores, we visited the Elkhorn Menards. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We found what we were looking for after a few minutes. The price was good and they were offering 11% rebate on all purchases. Very happy with our experience.

Great employees that help you find what you need, decent prices, mediocre selection when it comes to top quality tools. Pretty good store overall and I find myself there a lot but when it comes to returns I believe all the Menard's have the worst return policy ever. If you used a rebate card for ANY amount of the purchase they won't give you your money back, it ALWAYS has to go back towards the rebate so you get a credit so you have to spend it at the store. This has happened numerous time but one example was that I spent a couple thousand on pavers to put in a patio and used a rebate for a portion of the purchase. Returned a $25 tool I ended up not needing and instead of just giving me $25 cash on the return they gave me an in-store credit. More than $25 of my own cash was used in the original purchase but didn't matter because I used had used a rebate towards that purchase so had to take the credit.

Great selections, fun atmosphere, and very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent choices on pet food and pet supplies, good prices and variety on cleaning products, Christmas decor, lighting and myriads of other things. Handicapped friendly, always with charged up electric carts.

The store itself was great, the cashier Kristine not so friendly. Gets tiring when you spend your money and there is no friendly customer service. A simple thanks have a nice day would be great, but no turns the other way and ignores us after recieving payment. So probably not coming here again. Maybe she needs some customer service training so she can be great to all.

So apparently this Menards does not offer special pricing on their floor model items. No idea how long the item has been out and moved around or messed with by customers and they had none left in stock. They feel that because it's "already assembled" we should be lucky to pay regular price for it. Not to mention they had us waiting 15 minutes for the manager to come over just to tell us that himself, the sales person couldn't just let us know that there was no discount. If we werent in a hurry and needing the item asap we would have gone elsewhere to find something we knew had not been messed with and better customer service.

Great selection and variety of items. Sometimes better choices than home depot or lowes. The employees are usually very helpful and knowledgeable. They also have one of the best selection of lumber of the chain home stores. Plus the rebates and deals offered are one of the best. One of my favorite stores for home repair.

Bought a $2000 fridge off the floor today and got it installed... come to find out that the lady forgot she took the water filter out of it. Had to go back and she gave me one to place in it from her display parts. Got home it was the wrong one. Went back again and turned it in and finally got the right one that is mislabeled. Now I get back set it all up and the water dispenser leaks horrifically I cannot even get a glass of water. We call in they say well you can find a way to bring it back in 7 days but we won’t have model in for 28 days. Then asked if someone could come look they said I would have to call whirlpool to get them to come out. Guess what they cannot come out for a week to our house to help. Plus I have no way of loading up fridge to bring back. 0 out of 10 stars on all levels definitely only shopping at Nebraska Furniture Mart from now on.... made 1 mistake

This store is hands down the best retail store I've ever dealt with. The management team across most all the departments is exceptional and customer service is definitely their primary focus. We have been working on a large renovation project for 9 months and they have helped me every step of the way. Sometimes difficult situations arise, and they always work with me for satisfactory resolution. Throughout this process, I have had experience with other big box stores, and there is a clear difference in customer focus. Our experience with Menards has been leaps and bounds above what we have experienced with their main competitors.

There's so much stuff here, Everytime we go I always end up bringing home more than what I go for. Love the 11 percent rebate!! Sometimes you get lost looking for a product and have to track down an associate, but not a big deal! Great prices too!

Constantly rude, employees put no effect into helping customers navigate their store. Cashiers are always giving attitude, and act like they don’t want people to purchase stuff so the store can justify their employment. Kristine was very rude when checking out.

I went into the Elkhorn Menards to ask for help with a garden tool. One of the department staff told me “ this is not a Menards thing, this is more of a Home Depo type thing”. The other employee walked away in disgust. My friend and I laughed and continued to ask him questions to see just how he would respond. He quickly realize that I was taking mental notes so he started to clean up his communication. He offered little help but I did manage to leave the store with what I needed…. I think 🤣😂.

Nice store with variety of selections. Atmosphere was nice and staff was friendly. Great stuff and great offers going on. Always a good experience of shopping here. Prices are competitive and the store is always clean. You will find every type of items at very good price. Every item you need is available under one roof.
