Crete Ace Hardware is a great local store. Their staff is super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. When I first started my painting project I stood in the paint aisle at Walmart for probably 30 minutes, couldn’t decide on what paint and no one was around. Went to Ace and was immediately greeted and pointed to the paint aisle where Dan gave me great advice and helped me pick my paint.

This is a great Ace Hardware, better than any that I have shopped in. They make sure you end up finding everything you need. In the spring, they have a great selection of plants for sale and they take good care of the plants until all are sold. They box up your plants and help you out to your car or truck. The store also has a small engine shop in the back where lawn mowers, generators, etc are repaired. They also have free popcorn and, for a small price, a cup of coffee.

The help hovers behind you while you shop. It seems they are suspicious of everyone be a potential shop lifter. Excellent selection but prices are sky high for mediocre quality hardware. Owner is a good guy and his profit margins fund his high rolling lifestyle. I only shop there if I need something odd right away.

Their selection is decent for the town size, and I buy a lot here. When I stopped by today and asked about fiberglass poles, the salesperson that "helped" me acted like I was asking for something that didn't exist and rolled her eyes over it. Rude. I wasn't being difficult or mean or pushy or demanding or anything. I just asked. She ended up pointing me in what seemed like a random direction to get rid of me and left me to search by myself. Ok. I usually do look for things myself first and I don't think I should be treated like I'm wasting your time. But otherwise, the other employees I've interacted with are nice and helpful and I will continue to shop here. I'll just avoid her. :) Side note: the owner does always thank me for stopping by when he's around and his wife is awesome, she always makes sure we found what we're looking for!! ^_^

Great local hardware store, always helpful and knowledgeable the only reason for the 1 star missing is that they seem to close so early but if you plan when you're going it works outUpdate: I have changed my review to five stars as for the company listened and is staying open later!!! The service here is phenomenal! I was disappointed because I went there for a specific item that showed in stock on the app and when I got there they told me they've never carried anything like that. Even in the store I could show them that the app showed that they had it in stock.

Great place to purchase appliances. Bought a Washer & Dryer as they had the models my wife wanted and at a very reasonable price. Delivered and set-up quickly & made sure they worked correctly. Great Service. Had a small issue with the washer (hose, not machine) and Dan took care of it quickly. Will recommend the store to everyone and when another appliance is needed, will not even bother looking elsewhere. Very comfortable talking with the staff and my wife and I felt welcome.

I was in the market for a zero turn radius mower and a friend of mine said that I had to go to Ace Hardware in Crete before going anywhere else. My friend bought his mower there an was very happy with the service he experienced. He told me to ask for Dan, who is the owner. I trust my friend with my life and took his advice. After talking with Dan for approximately one hour, I was was totally convinced that I wouldn't have to shop anywhere else. Dan, as well as the other staff, treated me like a best friend, not a customer and their goal was to help me make the best decision when deciding on what mower to buy. They are very knowledgeable about the products they carry and do not pressure you on making a purchase. Dan made a comment to me that really defines who they are when he said "this has been a great day, even if you don't buy a mower from us, we feel though we have made a new friend". So if you are need of any products that ACE Hardware in Crete, NE handles, or just want to make new friends, I highly recommend, as did my best friend, Go to Ace an ask for Dan. You would t have to shop anywhere else.

A valued busy store meeting the needs of a small town. Im constantly popping in for something. Its all priced higher than the big stores in Lincoln. But keeps money local and I dont have to drive.

After calling all the Westlake Ace's in Lincoln to see if the have a bolt for a Toro Mower and being told no and could not get one??? They sell the lawnmowers!! Save yourself some time and have a great experience by just calling Crete ACE Hardware. Not only did they have the part but all the employees were very friendly. I will be going back to ACE in Crete for all my Toro and Grilling needs. Even the owner Dan Papik helped me and answered all my questions. HIs Card has Matthew 6:33 under his name. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Great Job!! Thank you
