I wish I could give it zero stars honestly. It's dirty, unorganized, unprofessional, and just overall not a good store. They will not re-order any product they run out of, they are all very lazy, never seem happy to serve you, and are almost NEVER at the register. Every single time I've come to this store I've had to wait for someone to come check me out. Dollar general is supposed to be about convenience but there's nothing convenient about this store.

50% of online coupons added to my email & cell number don't work at check out. Tried to return bottle of Mr Clean that on line coupon did not work on the next day & clerk would not take it back.

Me a 43 year was not allowed to buy a grill/candle lighter because my 14 year old had it in her hand before putting on counter seriously!! Just fyi there is no age restriction for lighters I understand of the child is alone not to sell but I am the parent and the one paying for it absolutely ridiculous

Very disrespectful to costumers an employee didn’t let me buy a lighter bc apparently you need to be 21+ but I searched it up and it has no age limit

I so enjoy this store, convenient on my way home from work. Staff is super friendly, helpful. Today was not a good experience on east side of building, snow boots on, stepped off of curb type thing, and went down on both knees and an elbow. No one to help, finally got of hold of ice coming down side of building, was able to get up. This will not stop me from going to this store, but this really needs to be looked at!

This is a convience store, the food is Frozen or canned goods, they have just about any thing you may need except gas or major appliance's, and no large furniture, the employees are nice, polite, and helpful to their customers. Prices fair enough for a discount store. I enjoy spending time just to browse around.

Very upset with the cashier on duty tonight 2-25-2017. My husband is hearing impaired and went in to buy cigars. He leaned on the counter to look and she snapped at him to move as he was making her counter dirty and was very disrespectful to him. He explained that he had to read her lips since he can't hear her and she continued to be disrespectful. He left without buying anything. Lost good customers tonight.

Never have I been so disappointed in the Columbus NE. Dollar General as I was yesterday 07-10-2016. My husband and I went to pick up a birthday card. Never once were we greeted by either of the employees, seems they were to busy chatting with each other to notice we were there. Once we found the card, we waited maybe 3 or 4 minutes for a cashier. Once she found her way to the register not ONCE do she even acknowledge we were there other than ringing up the card, I made the comment, "We are fine and yes thank we found what we needed, she looked up only long enough to give me a glare, SNATCHED the $5.00 bill my husband had place on the counter, I then asked her how much was the card in a very snotty tone she stated $3.86 . She counted the change out loud as she was taking it out of the drawer either handed my husband the change or laid it on the counter then slid the card towards us and walked off... NO THANK YOU no nothing... I picked up the card and said so she could hear, well yes, I would like a bag, she kind of chuckled and again in a snotty sarcastic tone she said "for a card, you want a bag? " I told her yes, as I did not want it to get dirty and she said something else but I could not make out what she said. I asked her what her managers name was MANY times and each time was told she did not have one,at one point she told me her manager will be back in two weeks as she is on vacation, I then asked her, her name ( several times ) and was told she does not have a name... OK, so now I am very upset, where is the respect for customers? I went to leave but me, being me I went back to informed her I will be calling the General office and she laughed. Again I turned to leave but again me being me, I turned on my cell phone, walked back to where she was and asked her again for her name, when she turned to tell me again she does not have a name I snapped a picture of her. I then told her I no longer need her name that a picture is so much better, I turned to leave, now shes following me to tell me she meant no disrespect, shes sorry if I took things wrong and that if I wanted she would call her manager right then and I could speak to her, I took her up on the offer. Sadly the whole time I was trying to speak to the lady on the phone, employee "no name" kept trying to over talk me and tell me she meant no disrespect. I ended up handing "no name" the phone back and left. This afternoon I call to speak to the manager, Sally. She explained to me that (will not blast her name on here, so I wall call her "Katie" ) is never like that and that has been there she spoke to her last night and twice today and Katie now knows how to act and handle things? Really? I also learned from Sally, Dollar General does not normally bag less than 5 items? A customer should be given the opportunity to turn down the bag. I wish Columbus had more choices for retail but since we are so limited the chances that I will have to go back into that store are high. I wish I could say I will NEVER go back there.

The one on top of the other "dollar stores". Better quality, better prices and more variety. I truly recommend to visit an store for your own experience.

Love the selection. They always have a wide variety of holiday items. They carry many name brand every day household items. I always check Dollar Tree before i shop somewhere else.

Great products. But the service today was horrible two workers and they had such nasty looks on there faces didnt say hi .and at check out the cashier kept rolling her eyes and being snotty to an elderly lady .Kinda rude!

The only thing I wish the chain would change is uniformity. Not every store Carrie's the same thing. So sometimes you cannot find what you truly need.

I only go there cause it's close to my house. But every single time they have sale signs for something and then it doesn't scan they "can't find it" and wont give that price and they don't honor their app coupons either. worthless 😑
