This Walmart store is not the largest Supercenter in existence. In fact, it's no doubt among the smallest though it IS my all-time favorite Walmart. Always clean and friendly too. The long-time manager, Adam Gardner, would never ask any associate to do anything that he'd be unwilling to do himself, and that's the true-true. A whole lot of Walmart bosses could stand to learn from this fine manager. He knows the "secret": It's about keeping it real as well as establishing relationships. Having lived in Chadron for many years I know most of the many employees here, a fine bunch of associates overall. My photo, captured near this Walmart several years ago, imparts my feelings about this excellent store... then several more photos of mine showing the outside of the store (photography inside is not allowed). Their service, friendliness, and consistency are things that keep me coming back to this Walmart.

I live 55 miles from 3 Walmarts two in Rapid City SD the other in Chadron NE I like the Chadron store most of all

This Walmart is pretty good nearly all the time. I'm almost always happy with my shopping experience here. However, today I was disappointed by a few things that are mostly because they are short staffed, just like about every business in this town.1. A walmart employee took the parking spot I was about to pull into by flipping a U turn in front of me. Problem was, it was one of the closest parking spots and big enough for my big pickup and he was taking that spot during his entire shift. I've worked retail and this is not right.2. Empty boxes were left in the isles.3. The self checkouts with the checkout conveyor belt are almost never open& now, when they are open, staff is reqired to assist with checking out our groceries. That is not self checkout and limits our ability to checkout quickly. I like the self checkout because I know my items will be bagged quickly & correctly, no offense to the hard working checkers but, they arent great at bagging. ie, eggs & bread shound not be bagged with laundry detergent.

This Walmart is great, but isn't a Supercenter. The building isn't large enough to be considered one, and it's no longer a 24 hour location. Also, it will never have a liquor department due to its size which is tragic! It's always clean and, when there's not a pandemic or blizzard, it's typically well stocked.

Nice Walmart. Clean and stocked. Still don't like only having 2 checkers and the rest self checkouts. Overall a good shopping experience in a nice town.

Yesterday my two year old granddaughter got her foot stuck in a cart at checkout. Between the wonderful other customers and the staff she was freed without too much trauma and the manager even took my cart out to my car for me so I could carry my wee one. The Chadron Walmart really is the Cadillac of Walmarts!

Shopping - wise, it was a decent experience. Our cashier was another story. Destiny was very rude to myself, my 80 year old mother, and the cashier named Dara who was bullied into taking her place. Then, when Destiny walked away from the register to throw hangers into the bin, she slammed them down rolling her eyes.

I honestly prefer to come here, instead of Rapid city. It's closer and convenient. What I dislike most is the workers hanging around and talking with the cashiers.. I waited at the fitting room for 15 mins until a worker came.

There were two actual people checking customers out, with the line back to the self-checkout. If you want us to check ourselves out, why don't you take the employees standing at the end of the checkout line, visiting, and have them be a person checker. Better yet, since your employees have time to stand and visit, why don't you knock $10 off of our bills!

Clean store and friendly staff! Sam in electronics went above and beyond to help me find what I needed and carry the boxes out of the store. Best service I’ve ever experienced at a Walmart.

It's a good stop for restocking our travel trailer. Store as well as restrooms were clean. Found all the items on our list. Almost no carts left in the lot compared to some that have carts all over the lot. Good job cart person and management.

The associates I encountered were friendly. A special thanks to the young lady who offered to check me out at her register. And, after I asked, she was kind enough to tell me which of the two Asian restaurants she preferred.

This store is not native friendly. Some of the non native employees treat natives badly. In my opinion it would be easy to shut this walmart down with a more friendly competition. Natives are the majority of the consumers here. All of the employees should be thanking them for their jobs. Also a larger food area with more selections would also help this location.

Would be a 5 star if: 1) they actually enforced the companies mask mandate. 2) had more Gluten free and organic items.The fact that they have signs up saying you must wear a mask yet many people are in the store without masks. Either it is policy or it is not. Make up you minds. If it is PLEASE enforce it.They basically do not have a Gluten free bread, rolls, bagels etc. Very disappointing.The store is generally clean and well organized. The staff is friendly.

The store is very clean, staff is very friendly. Nice selection of products. I don't like Walmart's choice of going to self checkout. This is not a good choice, we spent $268 this trip. There were 6 employees standing around helping with the self check stands. They might as well be checkers. I think the self check idea is fine for folks with less than 10 items.

Your wait time in line is longer then filling your cart full with groceries.very slow cashier's..Have to look for workers to help answer questions or looking for something in particular. Only things good the workers friendly..the store always clean. Alot of times out of items..

Cashiers needs more training, didn’t know where to find or how to key in item without barcode (had price and item code on it) then snipped at me when I tried to show her where the code was. And the associate behind her was to busy staring at her f*ing phone to help her!!

They have remodeled and finding stuff is a little difficult, as I was used to how it was laid out before. It is really nice and clean though. The pharmacy had a problems so it was slow but they were very pleasant

This is a smaller Walmart. Very clean but limited supplies. We only went through the grocery section. Third Walmart and we haven't been able to find Clorox wipes yet (sad face).Other than that, the employees were nice and on a Tuesday afternoon the store was pretty empty.Recommend
