We stopped here as part of the Nebraska Passport on July 30th at 12:30 PM. The food was great but the service is lacking. We walked in and waited to be seated but no one came over. After a few minutes someone told us we could have a seat. When my husband asked what kind of beer do you have on tap, because he likes to try local craft beers, the waitress acted irritated and instead of listing what they had on tap she asked him what do you normally drink. He said just bring a Michelob Ultra. The waitress came back with the drinks and took our order, brought the food out and then brought the bill over sometime later. We would have stayed for another drink but we were never asked how things were, or if we wanted anything more to drink. It wasn't busy. There were probably 5 tables with people in the entire restaurant while we were there. Poor service.The inside has a fun country decor with a large backroom for parties.The food was great with good portions. I had a taco salad and my husband got the hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. YUM!

Went there one hour and 15 minutes before my Dr. Appointment and after sitting there for 15 minutes finally got menus then 10 minutes after that got drinks(tea) and when we got our food almost 45 minutes later we had to get it to go cause it took that long. My buger was over cooked and the service was really slow and they might had maybe 20 people in there. It was the first time being there and probably the last time. The waitress was not very friendly and she acted like she was way over welmed with 20 people. I was really disappointed.Parking: Can park in front or across the street witch road is not busy at all. Safe to cross when needed.

Got a Chilli cheese burger with fries and asked for Chilli on everything and it was and what Chilli wow excellent flavor an not over spiced If you're passing through or close to Callaway they have most everything and the cooks good they'll be open bout 11:00 not sure about the closing time but they serve supper and drinks I think anI wouldn't be a bit worried about bringing my grandchildren with us to eatKid-friendliness: I believe it's kid safe and wouldn't be worried about bringing them

Great atmosphere, hard to get into the double doors in a wheelchair but so are most places in town. Love the staff. The food is good, especially the chicken fried cheeseburger. The Reuben is also one of my favorites and Annies is the only place in town to get one.

We had heard about this place from local people, so we decided to try it while we drove through. So happy we did! The service was good, the menu items had a good variety. I'm a burger guy, so I had the Reuben burger. It was one of the best burgers I've EVER had. Made from fresh Nebraskan beef and prepared hot and fresh. Perfect. There was on tap craft beer and was very cold. The atmosphere made us feel so at home, I didn't want to leave. A definite stop if you're traveling through!!

When you first walk in, you're greeted with a very comfortable country setting. The atmosphere is wonderful and very well done. However, looks can be deceiving. While doing some work in the area, I stopped by Shotgun Annie's for lunch. The shocking part is I actually went back a second time. My first experience yesterday was not a good one, but I felt it deserved a second chance. Bad idea. My food yesterday was pretty bland and not particularly horrible, but the wait certainly was. Today, however, was downright awful. The have a pretty strict taco menu on a Thursday. I assume the "Taco Tuesday" trend was too overwhelming, but if you're not in the mood for tacos, they have a small variety of basket food to choose from. My colleagues and I all had chicken strip baskets with an order of chips and queso to start. 45 minutes later we finally had our chips and dip and another 20 till we had our chicken strips. The queso and chips was about as bland as it gets, and the chicken tasted like fish. I can only assume they fry it all in the same oil, which can be a big issue for anybody with seafood allergies. All in all, horrible experience. They really need work before this can be a respectable establishment.

Get off of the interstate for this food!!! I ordered the Steakhouse burger and was it ever mouth watering. It was perfectly cooked and served piping hot. I've enjoyed numerous burgers through the years but this is my new favorite place for dining. I will be back here again to try some of my other food favorites. In addition, it is extremely clean as well as nicely decorated. PLEASE go out of your way for this dining experience. You WON'T be disappointed!!!

We go here twice a year during hunting season and it is usually great. Tonight(a Saturday), there were two gals working the whole place with a large 20+ group in the back room. Took forever to get drinks and food and then the steaks were not good. No seasoning and poor quality meat. New York was more of a flank steak. $24 for a steak worth maybe $10. I am sad, as we had grown to love this placed the past few years. To Broken Bow it is next time.

Really good food. We had burgers and they were very good. We peeked at other diners eating some delicious looking steaks, and every one looked as pleased as we were.The decor is great and the service is cheerful and prompt.

We are from Brady and stopped here after conference volleyball game. Never been here before but it was so good and you dont leave hungry. Awesome food and excellent friendly service. We will definitely be back. Thank you

My husband and son both had Annie famous country fried burger. It was a burger with bacon dipped in coating deep fried served on toast served with gravy. They loved it. I have seen them on triple D, but never around here. Kutos!

Chicken fried cheeseburger on texas toast with a bowl of dipping gravy was very good! Nice ladies running the show. Chat with the locals was Nebraska friendly. Gonna stop again if i am going by.
