Brady, Nebraska —-I met the “Hitchin’ Post Saloon” team - owner “Scott”, super bartender “Vance” & grill-master “Emily” and they all gave me “More Smiles Than I Came In With!”.The “Caminator” burger represents Nebraska proudly in my quest for a quality burger in each of the lower 48 states.The “Hitchin’ Post Saloon” is a “Run-A-Way Bill” Favorite accidental bar discovery ... another super “DUSA 2019” (Discover USA) u-turn find.Great bar flair adds to the atmosphere of this great small town USA bar & eatery.“Run-A-Way Bill” Favorite!06.12.19——I’m baaaack!the “Hitchin’ Post Saloon” is so many stories in one …I went to add the “HP” to my Garmin GPS for a future visit and discovered it was already a favorite ❤️ already appeared …checking my Facebook posts, I discovered I had visited in June of 2019 - WOW 😮 … upon entering “Roxann” greeted me with a “welcome back” …“Roxann” then pointed to my “Run-A-Way Bill” stickers on the refrigerator door - including a “Run-A-Way Bill” FAVORITE …the “Hitchin’ Post Saloon” in Brady is the locals gathering center …I met at least 10 of the population 382 locals by name …when in town, do what the town does - so I selected my 1st fried “Gizzards” …after about 5, I decided they were a bit too chewy & grizzle-ly - the remainder when home to feed “Rhonee’s” chickens …thank you Roxann, Rhonee, Roger, Harold, Frenchie, Brettt, Mick, Jessica, Mark and others for the many free beers (4) and more smiles than I could count …#RunAwayBillMonday 07.31.23Day 22 “Go WIth The Flo Tour”

We were driving down Highway 30 and at lunch time we found ourselves near Brady so we stopped at The Hitchin Post. We both had bacon cheeseburgers and fries. 🍔 🥓 The burgers were large and delicious! We were stuffed when we left. Our waitress said she was the manager - she gave us great service and best of all was wearing a "Dallas Cowboys" shirt just like me 😁. If we are ever back in the area we will stop by again!

Absolutely amazing! Bar tenders and patrons were so friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious, beer was cold. If you are considering stopping by it’s a MUST! Sad we missed the prime rib night but the chicken fried steak and steak sandwich *chefs kiss”

What a nice little saloon. While I wasn't thrilled with the Worcestershire sauce on my ribeye, it wasn't bad and the local beef was stunning. Atmosphere and staff also we're tops. Don't come looking for a Bobby Flay NYC steak, but you can be sure this one will be good and served with a genuine smile.

The owner of this place is very personable, and really makes you feel like you're one of the regulars. Now time for the bad.... they were moderately busy last time i went in there and the bartenders/wait staff was so efficient...I didn't have time to finish a single drink before I had another one waiting...p.s. make damn sure you pick up some home baked goods...if you're looking for a nice pit stop and don't want to get crowded with scabs and skeezers this is the only place I'd recommend.

If you like local flavor and small town bars this is the place for you. As you would expect the people are friendly and want you to enjoy yourself and have a nice meal. I've been there a couple times now and found the hamburgers to be quite good with excellent home cut french fries. I've not had the opportunity to try it yet but I'm told the prime rib (Fridays & Saturdays) is excellent. Get off the interstate and meet some people!!

This place has something for everyone. The staff is helpful and friendly and the proprietor is community minded. The menu is extensive and everything on it is delicious. The weekends offer prime rib that you can cut with a fork, and don't forget to have a giant cookie for desert.

My son chose this place. We were meeting half way. He was coming from Denver, I was driving from Omaha. We needed a place to meet half way. Manager was great so was the food!

Fun local Bar. We stopped in hoping for a steak and had a great ribeye. Lisa mixed up some amazing drinks when I asked for something special and different than the norm.

Waitress orders whatever so make sure you have her repeat your order back before she leaves. Ordered pork tenderloin sandwich you would think it would come with at least mayo but comes just a piece of meat on a mini bun.

Perfect road-trip stop. Walk in off the desolate street to friendly staff, great food (had the burgers, steak sandwich, and pizza), and cozy atmosphere. Stay for a game of pool!

Definitely know you are an out-of-towner... But, everyone was welcoming. When you enter "main street" you are like WTH... But it is worth it! Had the Caminator, Cod Basket, Corn Nuggets, and appetizer Hot Wings. Not food network but definitely good food with comfortable locals.

This is our lunch spot during the hunting season. Great food and beer right when you need it. Service is friendly and quick. And of course, they have winning pickle cards.

Awesome bar. Best burger around. Prime rib is great. The prime rib sandwich the next day is even better. Make sure you order some gizzards.
