Decided to try this place for dinner at 6pm. Started with cheese curds for an appetizer. 2 of us ordered cheeseburgers, one ordered prime rib (med-rare) 20 minutes after our order was placed, server tells us kitchen is out of burgers but that they could run to the store to get more hamburger, it'd just take longer. I wasn't really interested in anything else so I politely declined to order saying I was full from the appetizer (which was pretty much true) the other person decided on chicken strips. Order came out and one of chicken strips were raw on one end. Told server and when she offered to replace it he said no it wasn't necessary. Prime rib was tough but we didn't say anything about it. We were just wanting to go at this point.Check comes (keep in mind, ever since I declined ordering something else server did not ask me anything or make eye contact) and nothing is comped. Terrible business for that alone. Disgusted I paid and we left and no one said anything to us. And we will not be backVery disappointing

This place is amazing! Immediately when we walked in, we were greeted with a cozy and classy atmosphere. The soft jazz music sets a relaxing mood. When the food came, we were most delighted with the most flavorful meal I've ever had in a restaurant!The green beans were so delicious! One of my biggest pet peeves is flavorless food. This place offers so many different flavors for the palate! For our meals, I had the 8 oz. filet, and my hubby had the 14 oz. ribeye, and we both added the grilled jumbo shrimp. Steaks were cooked to PERFECTION...and again...flavor to die for! I like the flavor of meat, so I expect the flavor of the meat to not be hidden. It was salted just enough without all the other seasonings, which is perfect for a steak. The shrimp was amazing! We had FAST, friendly service! My only regret was not getting photos of the food! I was too distracted by the deliciousness to even think about photos! Come eat here...you won't regret it! 😊

I was served quickly and efficiently. I ordered cheese curds as an appetizer. As I wrapped those up, the prime rib sandwich and fries arrived. The waitress was very friendly, efficient and helpful so I left her a big tip. The food tasted great. Even the ranch dipping sauce I asked for as a side to the cheese curds was good in taste and consistency. Sometimes ranch dressings are hit or miss. This one was good! Cheese curds and sandwich tasted excellent.

We come here almost every Friday and they never disappoint! Molly and Malory are our best friends when we come here! We love chatting with them and they provide quick and easy service! They pretty much know our orders by heart by now. The food is very very delicious and it’s the perfect portion amount. If I could rate this restaurant more stars, I would definitely give them way way WAY more! Thank you guys!!!

I’m leaving a one star review because this place is open Thursday -Sunday and we’ve been here twice this summer and both times there has been a sign on the door Like this. Terrible!! If you’re only open 4 days a week you need to be OPEN.

So far all the food has been fairly tasty. The service is a little slow. Overall I don't have a lot of complaints. For a restaurant in the small town it's pretty good and the prices are fair. My husband really enjoys the Philly. We like the fried cauliflower and calamari. I tried the fried walleye, it's good, just too much bread for me.

Finding this place was a "happy accident." Simply a wonderful hidden-in-plain-site place, right on the main drag of Blair, Nebraska! Admittedly, we had set out to dine at another place nearby but it was closed. Glad it was... Rivers is classic "old-school" small town dining. From the vibe, menu, and service to the faux wooden salad bowl to the minimal wine selection to the "prime rib night" - it was all awesome. Small, busy, comfortable. Our Server was friendly and attentive. The food was simply delicious. Love supporting a local restaurant, especially when it's good.

Randomly stopped in after reading reviews & I'm very impressed!! The service was amazing as was the food. I had a filet, it was cooked perfectly, with a nice crust on the outside. I would highly recommend trying 👌

We both had dinner salads and the cocktails were good too. Nothing negative to say. I would a different will recommend to everyone.

Rivers served delicious food! I've had prime rib and the salmon dinners from there. No complaining here. It's very intimate setting, low lights and cozy. I highly recommend if you want semi fancy without feeling like you have to be dressed to the nines!

FIRST I WANT TO START, I NEVER FILL THESES OUT. MY EXPERIENCE WAS SO BAD I HAVE TO MAKE OTHERS AWARE NOT TO SPEND MONEY HERE.Honestly blow away with the entire lack of effort in my experience. My steak was incredibly bland, the service was completely below what you expect from a steak house. The lighting in the place made it feel dark and dirty.When asked about my meal, i was nice but direct, stating my steak is not very good. Was offered sauces to flavor my steak. No other help offered.Had to get someone else to print my check, server was not where to be seen. Paid full price, no removal or discount of food that was below expectations. Only consumed 25% of meal.Final Note - If your server doesn't offer you a to go box when you have plenty of food left, they know they are feeding you low quality food.

Been here once and LOVED it! They have great service and wonderful food. Hot, fresh and juicy with a perfect amount of flavor. Tried the steak, chicken and walleye. Definitely will be back and I recommend this to anyone!

Enjoyed the whole Rivers experience! The food, friendly and appropriately paced service, music, and inviting ambiance. I'll for sure be back next time I'm in Blair, NE!My ribeye was cooked to the temperature requested and the accompanying green beans with bacon were an unexpected delight. The baked potato was exactly how I like them them. Baked not microwaved. The house pinot noir had good character and depth of flavor; a perfect accompaniment to the steak!I'm big on dessert, well, I'm big period, but I do not like cheesecake which was on the menu. Katie and the kitchen staff were kind enough to deliver vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, an all-time favorite from the time I was a kid.

Was taking my girlfriend out for her birthday for a steak dinner. Was near Blair, decided on Rivers because of good reviews. Walking in, my first impression was, this is place is pretty small. We were seated in a booth, the place felt more like a bar, than a steak house. We opened our menus, and was blown away! The prices on all their menu items, we're definitely priced like a five star restaurant, when this was far from it. If you want to spend $50 for 2 to eat dinner, might as well drive to Omaha, and visit Brother Sebastian's, and get a delicious dinner, in a great dining environment.

My French dip had a bun like shoe leather and the beef inside was tasteless. My husband had catfish and he said it was mushy. Got terribly sick the next day. Service was excellent.

I know it's new but there's a lot of work that needs done, and I mean a lot.I'll start with the wait for a hostess, almost 10 minutes and there were 4 tables empty and clean, after the hostess appeared she attempted to seat people that arrived after us. The other people were respectful and told her we were there long before them so we were seated.After sitting at a table that was empty and 4 feet from where we were standing just moments before we were waiting again. Mind you 1/5th of the tables in the restaurant are empty and they appear to have 3 waitresses, a bartender, and a hostess on staff tonight. 5-10 minutes goes by and someone brings us menus. We aren't offered any drinks or food yet. After another 5-10 minutes goes by someone cones and takes a drink order, this will be our waitress. Quick and to the point I assume she is burried. Our drinks come and like a flash, she's gone again. About 10-15 minutes go by this time and we are asked if we are ready to order, of course we are. 1 prime rib, (our specialty), medium rare, a filet medium rare, and a kids chicken nuggets, a refill on our drinks, oh and how about a calamari appetizer while you're at it.We get our drinks and the calamari is out almost instantly. It's a bit mushy but doesn't taste off, I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.Almost an hour goes by and out comes our food. This is where it went bad. My prime rib was good other than being cold to the touch. The green beans were obviously frozen, you could taste it, my wife's steak was rare at best, had toothpicks holing it together and looked more like a sirloin than a filet. Her potato cakes were from a frozen section of some grocery store, and my potato smelled so off I made the waitress smell it, after the third sniff and a curled nose she asked if she should replace it. I said no thanks I just won't eat it.Our daughter loved the chicken nuggets and fries so there's a plus.Oh just so you know how slow it is here, I wrote this entire review on my cell phone between the time I finished eating and the time we got our check and I'm 40 years old, not some Millennial super texter.Won't be back.

Salmon was prepared very well and had great flavor. The filet was also well cooked. We just moved to Blair and are very glad we tried this restaurant.

Been there a few times and really like it. Great food, amazing staff and love the look of the place. Easily one of the best restaurants in Blair.
