Our 13 year old chow had a torn ACL. We used the brace and he is happy walking 3 miles a day. He never complains about getting it on. We were worried it would matt or damage his hair but it has not. So much better than extensive expensive surgery.

Unfortunately our vet told us Hero Braces made carbon fiber splints but turns out they only use plastic. So if you have a dog that likes to chew I do not recommend these at all. After a week this happened WHILE she was wearing them. Customer service is nice but they want us to send back and forth whenever this happens so they can repair and it’s just not worth it to continually repair these $1800 plastic splints.

My dog had a degenerative reaction to a medication that weaken her back legs beyond repair. Before Hero Braces, she was hobbling on her hocks to go outside, but had nearly no mobility outside of that. I tried several non-custom options, but nothing fit or truly supported her posture. Hero Braces were exactly what we needed to get her to a normal posture and give her back a normal life. After her diagnosis, I thought I may never walk her again, but now we go on 1 to 2 walks every day. Hero Braces are pricey, but after having them for over 6 months now, they are well worth the cost and I am beyond grateful!

The Hero brace is transformational! Our 14 year-old poodle shih tzu mix is not a candidate for surgery and we thought his walking days were over. He was injured at the beginning of July and we got our brace near the end of August. Last weekend, he made several hikes to the doggie beach in our state park campground! It's easy to put on and has given our whole family a new lease on our life outdoors together. So grateful for the patient folks at Hero Braces who made sure Toby had the right fit.

If I could give negative stars I would! Our dog has an injury DIRECTLY from using this brace! We went with this brace because it was a few hundred dollars cheaper than the other option. It has been a terrible experience and I recommend you pay the extra money to get a better brace. When we initially received the brace, even without being in the medical field, we could tell it was too short. The top strap wasn't even at the top of our dogs thigh. We had our dogs Physical Therapist send in photos, and Hero said for us to turn the top strap upwards. This does nothing to change the fit of the brace and essentially lead to the injury and pain my dog is in now.. After using the brace that almost ALWAYS popped off at the ankle, we finally got it to stay on for a little over a week. Unknowingly this caused a huge lump on the back of her ankle, because as we thought before the brace didn't fit. Now our dogs progress in healing from her ACL tear is Months back and she is limping terribly. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG AND DON'T WANT TO SEE THEM IN PAIN.I wanted a refund to help with the purchase of a brace from a different company and they refused- but will give adjustments- to the brace that hurt my dog! NO THANK YOU!

I have a brace for my Black Mouth Cur that seems to help a great deal. My issue is, after five months both velcro straps are shot to the point that the brace can not be secured on my dog. I phoned Hero Brace and asked about replacing the velcro. I was told the cost would be $79. Now, I paid $800 for the brace, I don't feel another $79 every 5-6 months is acceptable. I maybe able to fix this myself but, if I knew this would happen and the repair cost so high, I would have looked at other brands of braces. By the way, the velcro on my cell phone holster is still in good shape and it's four yers old.

Hero has helped my dog with a custom brace that he uses almost everyday. It has helped to strengthen his leg and allow him to continue to go to day care. They also have refurbished the brace and make it like brand new. I am happy with the company and would recommend to others.

My little dog Shortie had a ripped Cruciate tear. He’s a 15lb Morkie that thinks he’s a 100 lb bull dog. I took him to several of the most repeated veterinarians in Los Angeles county only to be told to put him in his crate, heavily sedated with absolutely no movement for 90 days.We did our best but found this process to be cruel. The only other option provided would be a $9-$12, thousand dollar surgery that is rarely successful especially on small dogs. The surgery would require another ninety days of crating with minimal movement.So I set out on google to see if there was possibly any other options. After reading about many different varieties of brace’s to support his leg and keep his Cruciate tear from continuing to be damaged over and over again, I decided to give GoHeroGo a try. After reading the great reviews of success it seemed so practical to me to have a custom fit brace to keep his leg from getting re injured.Okay! Okay! I can’t believe every veterinarian isn’t offering this option!The GoHeroGo company couldn’t be more helpful! I took the casting kit to my vet for help casting my little guys leg properly. Sent it back to GoHeroGo, within two weeks we had a brace that fits perfect. GoHeroGo checked on our progress weekly to make sure we were progressing successfully. ( very comforting )🐶If your sitting on the fence, please don’t! My little guy is playing and running and doing all his little doggie things with no more pain and no more worry and no more limp. Absolutely fantastic! We couldn’t be happier!I will recommend 100% to any owners in need.

My very senior dog tore her CCL and we didn't want to put her through major surgery due to her age. Instead of a surgery that would have cost several thousands of dollars and required months of rehab, we ordered a custom knee brace for about 1/5 of the cost of surgery. There was no down time and no pain going this route and our old gal was back out on her long walks within a few days. The brace is super light weight, easy to put on, and she can do sit, lay, walk, run, etc in the brace. The company held our hands all the way through from ordering the casting kit to follow up checks to see how our gal was doing and excellent instructional videos. Having gone through the surgery route with another dog a few years ago, I don't think I'd go that route again on any dog that isn't young and high energy. I highly recommend Go Hero Go!

We have had great success with Hero braces for our dogs at The Canine Fitness Centre. They are well made, easy for owners to put on and off and provide excellent support for the stifle (the one we've used the most!). This company has been great to work with!!! Their process of getting your dog fitted, receiving the brace and then making adjustments as necessary is so easy. They are nice and quick to respond and want to make sure your pet can move again. We've had the brace 6-8 months and are sending it in for new velcro (probably sooner than needed, but the sand and hair has taken its toll). I was truly skeptical but i can see an improvement in our dog when we take it off!! Super thankful for them and how well the product has worked!

I have now worked with hero braces at 2 separate veterinary clinics. These braces are very effective and the company is easy to work with for the client and the veterinarian. We have used them with dogs that were unable to go to surgery for one reason or another and the dogs have all done great with the braces. After multiple failed surgeries on Stella’s knees, our veterinarian recommended braces. We tried all of the over the counter/ready-made braces, but none fit our poor Stella. We started the process to find a veterinarian to help us get custom braces. Sadly, all the rehabilitation and specialty veterinarians wanted to charge over $600 (or more!) just for an initial consult.Then we found Hero Braces. 2 days after our first communication, we had the cast kit at home, put the casts on Stella and sent them back to Hero Braces. It was an easy process that took less than 30 minutes for both legs.We received the braces about 2 weeks later and the fitting videos were excellent instruction — the braces fit perfectly, and after just a couple steps, Stella took off, happily running around the yard — which she hadn’t been able to do for more than a year.After just a few days, Stella is doing GREAT with her braces! It took us a couple days to get the fit correct, but now its EZPZ to get her into her braces and they stay comfy for a few hours at a time before we need to check her fit. She’s happily chasing horses again on our farm, and it seems we can begin to cut back on her pain meds too.Thanks for all you do! We have a happy happy pup!

I can't say enough positive comments about the service that Hero braces provides for my clients and patients. I have worked with Ben and the other professionals at Hero for the past 12+ years. They provide an alternative solution for dogs with cranial cruciate ruptures that can't/won't have surgery using a specific biomechanical design. A variety of wrist (carpal) and ankle (hock) joint issues are also resolved using Hero braces. Bracing is a fairly new concept in veterinary physical therapy and rehabilitation. As a physical therapist myself, I could see some of the issues that could occur (as in the case that posted a poor review) when adequate follow up is not performed. Our patients cannot speak to us; thus, it is imperative to work side by side with your veterinarian or physical therapist to ensure an adequate fit. It's a shame to see a poor review when so many animals have been helped using Hero braces. Keep up your amazing work Ben and the team at Hero!

After my Labrador Retriever ruptured her Achilles Tendon and had an unsuccessful surgery, we didn't know what to do. Ben at Hero Braces came to the rescue. He made a brace for our dog, after our vet made a mold of the dog's leg. Upon receiving the brace, our veterinarian helped us get it on properly. I emailed Ben a photo of the dog wearing the brace. He wasn't completely satisfied with it, so he made another one and shipped it to me right away. I emailed a photo of the second brace. He then made a third brace for us. Then he was satisfied. Our dog was able to do her normal daily activities, which included walking and hiking with us. She eventually wore the brace out, so we had another one made. She lived a normal life. It was a great solution to the unsuccessful surgery. We will always be grateful to Ben for helping us when we didn't know what the future held for our four legged family member.I highly recommend Hero Braces. The compassion and understanding that we experienced were top notch. Thank you again, Ben.

Unfortunately, this brace did not work for our Pit Bull. The staff at Red Willow Veterinarian recommended this brace and we purchased it. It created major swelling and bruising at first, as it wasn't fitting properly. After several trips to try to get it to fit right, it falls off when he walks..soooo after over $1000 spent to try and get our boy some relief, theres nothing else Hero can do for us. If your considering this brace and your dog is muscular and short haired, you maybe very disappointed in the results.

I am so grateful for Hero Brace, they saved my English Mastiff, Tank. Easy to put on her, and she didn't mind wearing them. She had an ACL tear in both her rear legs from chasing rabbits at work. Quick turnaround time to get the braces and answered all my questions. She wore them for about a year, and is fine now, although we take things much slower. Thank you !!
