Wonderful trip back in time. Donuts made fresh every morning on site. They even had plain cake donuts hidden in the back when I asked for one (favorite!). Get up early (they open at 4am) and beat the crowd.

I have loved the long John's from here for many years. They are filled with a fluffy white mixture that also frosts them. I like the Danish and appreciate all the great baked goods but these are my favorite.My sister used to live in the area, so now whenever we are in the area we place an order.

The local bakery that everyone loves, one of the few places this town still has. It opens early with a large selection of delicious pastries, and it's hard to choose. They are very patient with answering questions and once you make your selections, it's super affordable.

Sunrise Bakery is one of those "must visit" places when you are in Beatrice. Whether it is the cookies or the doughnuts, they have a light, delicious homemade quality, and a unique flavor compared to other larger companies products. The prices are unrivaled and they are always busy, so come early. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

Their rolls are so delicious, however, if only a couple of rolls are bought they're put into a bag & they end up upside down sometimes or the frosting comes off & then the frosting ends up the other roll instead of staying on the original one.

They always have the best long John's, and glazed cinnamon rolls. Milk in the cooler. A smile from the staff. They make their bakery goods fresh every day. But they only make what they think they can sell. So don't procrastinate, as they do sell out almost everyday.

We stopped in for donuts to-go on a recent road trip. So good!!! Very fresh, and there’s a nice variety. The maple icing on my donut practically melted in my mouth. Will definitely stop by the next time we’re in town.

What a treat to have this gem in town. Lemon Danish so light and flaky. Yummy! Clean and so friendly as well. They are open at 4 am but, give them a little time to get set up.. So if your looking for a sweet treat in Beatrice, stop on in here. You will not be disappointed!

Somebody else might seem uneasy about being in this little bakery, but I love the small town atmosphere and the friendly service. Kind of reminds me of Grandma's house with the smells of fresh baked cinnamon rolls and cookies, a hint of fresh baked bread right out of the oven. Great place for a cup of coffee and donuts drizzled with that tasty white frosting! I'd go out of my way to get a couple donuts here!

The prices are cheap, the donuts are great.The only thing I'd love to see is for them to make ice coffee as well, since they already serve hot coffee. It would be pretty simple, putting a pot of coffee in a pitcher in the fridge, getting a 60 dollar ice maker. Ice coffee has a huge markup, it would certainly attract the younger folk in the aging community.

I live in Fairbury and couldn’t get a cake anywhere— I never even thought of Sunrise Bakery.. I took a chance and called them Friday morning and they had it done in 3 hours! I really enjoy the donuts and the people who work there. My parents and their friends meet for coffee on some mornings and it's a great place to have fellowship in a small town. However, it seems the establishment is allowing a certain very filthy man on a scooter to come in and sit and have milk and what ever. He lives in town so he is not homeless. He is dirty and barely dressed some days. He stares at little children especially the little girls. I would not bring my grandchildren in if I knew he was there. I would think the owner and management would apply the no shirt no service policy.

The best Long Johns anywhere. Highly recommend!!!Lived in Beatrice for 25 years - was lucky enough to have Long Johns every Saturday morning during my childhood. Now 50+ years later - I still have not found those awesome Long Johns anywhere in the country.Brought home 10 to freeze last week.Enjoy!.
