We’ve gone to this place a couple of times. The food is not bad, but not stupendous. This last time we got there 4:50pm on friday. They said they don’t open until five, as fire up the grill. They take our order. We get salad bar. 40 minutes later we finally get our t-bone. The steak was more than medium well and it was seasoned with rosemary. This is the second time the meat was a little twangy, because of the spices. The ambiance was good, the food was proportionate to the price. The twang and the wait isn’t my cup of tea. I could have butchered the cow and grilled it myself in 40 minutes.If you like the rustic, taxidermied animal decor; this place is a site. The burgers and non-prime meats are great.

Perfect home feeling! The staff was absolutely perfect! We really enjoy stopping here... Everyone is quite personable, even the customers and locals are quite a charm... Ps! Prime rib is excellent, and for the love do try their sea bass!!!! My husband has never had sea bass before and absolutely loved it! I honestly don't think they have any food that is not great... Their grilled chicken was very tender and just melted in my mouth... Seriously if you have not gone, do so! You will love it!

Great bar in a small town. This place gives you the whole midwest experience. Delicious food, cold beer and friendly staff. I suggest the chicken fried steak, its delicious.If you're into domestic tourism you'll enjoy this bar.

Had the worst experience here. Traveling through Nebraska on the Passport program and stopped here for dinner since it was one of the stops. Waited more than 2 hours for our food to only have them box it up. Told them we were staying in a hotel and that wouldn't work. We were waited on personally by one of the owners. Apparently that doesn't make a difference. None of the staff communicated with us how far behind they were until we inquired about our food at the 2 hour mark.I do not recommend this place to anyone on the passport for anything other than a stamp

Great service and food was really well made. Be sure to ask if the menu is updated because lots were not available BUT that's understandable and they were kind about it. Lots of taxidermy on the walls which freaked out my kiddo so if that's your kid too, heads up! Also, salad bar is only available certain days so I was bummed about that but again, not mad, just hope to try it some day! They were VERY cool and put on the local basketball game for us on the tv so that we didn't miss it!

We were on a saturday night. itwas busy but there were some tables open. The service was great, the was beer cold and the burger was fantastic. They have a complete menu including pizzas. The reasonable priced, I will definitely come back.

We had a large (11) family gathering they did take reservations but didn't really seem to be needed. Hometown feel, friendly staff, and the food is excellent with big portions. Great time and look forward to going back.

I think this is a really cool place. I had the daily special which was beef stroganoff with green beans garlic toast and a little s'mores for dessert. I thought the food was really good. This was my first time there and I hear Fridays and Saturdays they have an awesome prime rib. Didn't feel that the prices were too terribly bad. One thing I did enjoy about the place was all the different Taxidermy animals that were hanging on the walls. If you're looking for a good place to dine stop by say hi I think you enjoy yourself as much as I did.

We arrived at 645pm. We still did not have our food at 845pm. When we asked oh its up now. They offered to comp. Not the point. At 9pm I walked out with no food. The waitress came up Said it's boxed and ready to go. Not the first time I have waited over 2 hours but it's definitely the last.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The food was good but IMHO I didn't see what I personally like. This is why I rated it a three instead of four. The dining room was spacious and very clean! Overall it was a nice experience.

Cold beer, good drinks, pool, claw game. The food is great, especially the main courses of meat. Go for the prime rib and you won't be disappointed. Great hometown bar/grill. Only takes cash or check.

There isn’t a better locally owned and operated restaurant and bar around. They work their tails off every day and evening to make sure you have the best food and experience. Thank god it isn’t how it used to be. The menu is phenomenal!! To leave a “one star” or a “two star” review is a true d-bag move. Did you get your food? Did you get your drinks? Apparently people like this have never owned and ran a business (especially a restaurant and bar) or understand how much work it takes in addition what a one or two star review does. Small businesses are the backbone of every community and in the times of COVID, it is even more challenging. Limited dine in- head counts- sanitize- extra scrutiny, take out and curbside. And who doesn’t double check their food for takeout order before they leave? Newsflash, you have humans making your food. I’ve seen it here and fairly recently a pathetic Facebook review. Get a grip people. Going all the way back to the New Year’s Eve review, childish. Drop it to a 4 or 3 if you think it’s truly atrocious. Have a conversation with the owners who are more than over-the-top accommodating. I don’t know anyone who is more committed to customer service, enjoys cooking for you and giving you a welcoming experience than this local family. Support your local businesses, not tear them down. Help them succeed, not leave a ridiculous one/two star review.

Stockman's is our go to place with friends for a great meal and wonderful salad bar. We were extremely disappointed with our meal on New Year's Eve! The chicken fried steak was overcooked and had no flavor. The gravy was watered down and also had very little flavor. The hash browns were horrible; they tasted as if they had been cooked then refried on the grill with a ton of grease. Their front room is always so cold in winter, they need to do something about that - a bit uncomfortable when you are dining. Our party all had the same meal and all of us were in agreement about the food.

This place is my favorite place to eat! We don’t mind driving from Kearney at all when the food and the salad bar are all so wonderful! The staff and the owners are so very polite and accommodating when ever we come in. It’s always worth the trip!! Keep up the good work! We just love you ❤️❤️

Ordered the Ribeye and not sure what it was when it came out but it was white In color. Fries were good salad bar was good as well. The rest of my family's food was......ok...!!

Food was excellent. Service was fast. Very accommodating. I suggest going on an empty stomach or sharing your meal. Expect to have that after Thanksgiving dinner feeling.

After 30 years of bragging about and using Stockmans as a place impress out of state and out of town freinds and family , tonite was a total embarrassment. Service and food has never been so bad..wonxt spend another cent in that place.
