Any time you go in past 7pm the service is terrible. The people they have running the customer service will try harder not to help you then help you. I tried to rent a rug doctor and the lady looked like she seen a ghost then told me I couldn’t because the booth was closed yet I had a receipt from my last rental that was later then when I tried. Either she didn’t know how or was just lazy. No matter the issue the sub par effort from anywhere you go anymore is disgusting. Maybe the people from before were just more helpful idk but when you can hear their cell phone playing from the either room I find it hard to believe they are busy.

Getting better, hope it continues. next update june. As a disabled person its a very irritating store to go in to, and as I watch food ROT on the shelf as i am unable to afford their greedy prices or food altogether and as people are starving in the community, its sickening. Im Not able to use "APP" and this is a price segregation that should go away. Prices are always incorrect and gouged. This store has seriously increased my food insecurity. Oh wait, im told to donate to help feed locals (such as myself) and families but this Help IS OBVIOUSLY NOT GETTING TO PEOPLE WHO NEED IT THE MOST as we are starved to death by them and UNABLE TO ACCESS THIS HELP, their stores or food altogether. Safeway used to be better than this, but not anymore. This Safeway ranks as one of the worst Ive been too and its become a disturbing trend.

So I ordered a cake, let them know the size, cake, and frosting I wanted. Then I simply gave them a couple ideas of what I needed and told them to let the cake decorator decide on what to do and the color. Well I couldn't be happier with the results. It was absolutely perfect. Thanks a million

It is always pleasant while shopping for groceries at Safeway would be nice if the prices went down a bit but over all its nice and convenient .

Not the friendliest Safeway I've shopped in. They do have a good selection of fresh produce, the meat section has a lot of deals but nothing is ever stocked. There are carts of discounted products and thats helps with prices. The store itself is swarming with flies! Please do something to make your employees friendlier, everyone I tried talking to ignored me.

Rude management. Clipped a deal before I even got to the register and it didn’t come off. I mentioned it to the cashier and she called sue. Sue came over with massive attitude and told me that if she took the money off for it, it would just use the deal next time I was in. That doesn’t even matter. I clipped it to use it THIS time and it took my reward points for it. Just fix the mistake in your system and move on. No need to treat your customer like garbage because your system messed up. If I could give zero stars I would because I always seem to have issues with management when I come in to this store. Wish I had another grocery store that didn’t price gouge so I wouldn’t have to ever come back.

We don't mind shopping here when we are in town. The parking lot is always an adventure being that it appears to be 2 ways down every row. You have to be careful. The inside of the store is very organized and staffed with friendly people. Some of the deals are great too.

I've found numerous out of date items in the deli section and had a manager get upset once when I piled a bunch of it in their cooler and showed her.They have a similar issue in their produce section too. Too often I walk through there and smell rotten stuff.Worse part about this place is their check out lines. You know you're going to be busy shortly after 3 and 5pm so you should be stacking the checkers at those times. Also need to be more responsive when calling for help.Sadly living the small town life, this is one of our only two options so sometimes I have to shop here. If I could get everything at Grocery Kart I would never come back.

January 2023: I place a curbside pickup for a few things, through the Safeway app and was pleasantly surprised when they said it was ready to pick up before the time slot I chose. So, on my way home from a long day at work, I pick up. When I get home, I realize that there are only 2 boxes of cereal when I ordered 4. Okay, it says “out of stock” on the 2 missing boxes. That’s fine. But then I see they substituted one of the other box of cereal and charged me more than double. The on sale cereal was $1.77 and they gave me a substitute for $4.99. Then I see a big jug of maple syrup. When I ordered the 8.5 oz bottle of syrup, it was FREE with 4 reward points. Instead of simply saying the 8.5 oz bottle is out of stock, they substitute it for the 32 oz jug & charged me $18.99 for it. My $32 order on the app turned into a $50 order and I didn’t even get everything I ordered because of other items being out of stock. The entire reason for shopping through the app is to be able to control how much I want to spend on groceries and stick to my budget. I live alone & don’t really need an 8.5 oz of maple syrup (which was regularly priced $6.99) but I was getting it free with rewards. In my opinion, that is unethical to substitute something with that much of a price difference and charge a customer’s credit card, nearly doubling the total bill, just because you can. They obviously can leave an item off as out of stock but chose to charge me nearly $20 for something I didn’t order!July 2022: Manager (woman with a scowl in her face all the time that seems to work at the customer service counter or front) seems like a bitter angry person who has no people skills. The first time she was rude, I chalked it up to maybe she was having a bad day but after every encounter with her, she is always unpleasant. I find myself going elsewhere for groceries. I tried to do curbside pickup to avoid going into the store but they lie & say sale items aren’t available (but they are well stocked when I went in the store) and they substitute with stuff I can’t use. Very sad that people are better off getting groceries in another town because it impacts local tax revenue.

I was back visiting my Mom in the hospital and stopped by this Safeway to get some cleaning supplies for Mom's house and to grab a news mag for entertainment. I was warned that the Safeway was more expensive and now I understand why. When I looked at the receipt a week later and 1600 miles away, I discovered that the checker had run the magazine through FIVE times. The final total was large enough that I didn't notice right away that the checker had essentially stolen $20 from me. My fault for not checking right away but my family will never shop here again.

I'm giving 3 stars for having to wait in line consistently. I feel there's only 3 checkers on during the busiest part of day (5pm). Store is clean, staff is somewhat friendly, for a chain grocery store it's ok.

I shop their because I look for sale prices on their meat & seafood. I`m a big salad eater. I don't like having to look for salad that have a decent exporation date. Most of their salads have expired or will in a few days. It is so exceptionally unusual to find salads that have a week or more sell by dates.

Food I purchase there is usually above board! Love their new setup! Very clean and organized. People all very friendly. Not one lazy bone in the place! Manager was everywhere checking on everything and helping as needed!

80/20 hamburger the past few months is really bad quality. 😝 Is tough even ground up, dry when cooked and taste is declined alot too. I think they must be using another distributor that's cheaper ? I will be switching where I buy my hamburger at least, I'm sad to say.

Good prices on most items, and a decent selection of goods. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you use the Safeway app regularly, you can save a ton and get personalized coupons as well. Not a bad idea to double check the dates on items and sale tags.

Great grocery to do your shopping. I am usually a wal-mart shopper but I love this store, it's so clean. No empty shelves or people blocking the aisles trying to stock shelves when they're the busiest. They cut their own meat & if what you want isn't in the case, they'll take care of you immediately ! Fresh fruits & vegetables & great wine selection ! No long lines (the cashiers are friendly & fast) and no checking yourself out (who the heck wants to do thatafter shopping for an hour or so) ! Our Doctors are in Alliance (60 miles fromour house) so whether we need anything or not we find ourselves stoppingat this Safeway....a hometown grocery you will love !!

Went to get a money order for my elderly mother's rent. There was a line of people waiting at customer service. The staff were telling people there were no bookkeeper on staff today. I explained to the staff member that managers have always been able to help at Customer Service. The staff said there is no manager on. I pointed out the store manager is in the office right around the corner. The store manager came put and said customer service is closed and kept walking.

The music is so loud, I had leave my cart and go. I can’t concentrate when it’s so loud. I would rather shop at grocery cart where they have instrumental music that is quietly playing. It’s not worth talking to anyone in store because they don’t care.

Good grocery store, great staff, great app, good rewards program, good discount membership program. With the discount membership card and the phone app and account I have been able to legitimately double my savings for every grocery trip without clipping a single coupon or having to do anything other than choose the savings I want, add them to my list in the app then swipe the free Safeway club card that's linked to my Safeway app account. No coupon booklets, no hassle, and you get rewards points just for buying groceries you already were going to anyway, letting you get free items or dollars off on top of all your digital coupon and membership card savings. The only actual issue I have is that they barely stock any black cherry soda and always sell out immediately of the stuff then take ages to restock it.

The prices are outrageous. Half of the staff has no customer service skills. There are never enough cashiers. I went through the check out line and the cashier was fake nice to the lady in front of me. She did not greet me. She did not bother to tell me the total for my items. I even had to ask her to hand me my bag of groceries. Absolutely ridiculous.

I frequent Safeway for about 90% of my grocery shopping needs. I can usually find what I need there most of the time. However, it's like feast for famine with this place. Either their shelves are fully stocked or they're literally out of an entire type of product. For example, I've seen their meat selection completely wiped. No chicken or beef of ANY kind available. Sometimes for days. Same with the milk. None to be found. It happens quite frequently, but I've noticed an improvement in the frequency as of late. But there's still a reason why I do most of my shopping there :) the service is friendly and most of the time, I can find what I need. I just wish they would expand their whole food product lines so I didn't have to travel to Scottsbluff for certain items.

Out of what we went for. Purchase products on coupons only one item was put through with the coupons. Happens a lot. $6.00 this time $16.00 last visit. I keep receipts to take back but forget to take them. Need to start standing right there and going over the receipts. Wish we had more then two options to get groceries in this town.

They let eclipse watchers use the bathrooms! Very nice. Google says there's a Starbucks in Safeway. That's a sad falsehood. They do have glass bottles of flavored Starbucks coffee, but you know... not the same. People were friendly. Nice local Safeway.

Back in my hometown for funeral. Realized at the last minute I needed cardboard to pack an oil painting to take home. Stopped by Safeway as they were preparing to close. A very kind woman (manager maybe) stopped her closing chores and went to the back and found me two perfect boxes. I'd been in the store all 4 days we were here and very pleased with the selection and staff. Thank you Safeway. I miss having this option in eastern Nebraska.
