So I did not stay directly in the motel. I rented a campsite with them that was back in the gulch where we could pan on their claims. Great staff and family! Drove us to the campsite since our rig was too tall for the trail, glad to show good spots to dig and great advice. Found some small color and dust overall, with one larger piece, but I was there for the fun not really the gold. Great day, great site, great service!

Coming from South Dakota to Zortman to visit family in a place that I haven't seen in about 25 years. It's still as beautiful as ever! John and Candy were very friendly and accommodating. We had stayed at the Red Lion Inn Billings on the way up and this place is 10x better. There was no AC but that is my only complaint... the floors, the bathroom, the counters everything was very clean. I loved the beds and the sheets were so soft and comfortable not starchy like some. The room was dark and dated but comfy and cozy and well worth the stop!

This place has it all! A really interesting historical mining town Located in the Little Rockies of Montana. It has a nice campground, a motel, and rental units for larger families or a group of hunters or miners who want to come and stay for awhile. I rented one of the large kitchen units (a trailer) for a week and really didn't want to go home. The owners are fantastic people and they treated us all like family. I came up to Zortman for the gold mining and I was not disappointed. I sluiced everyday and came away with enough gold to brag about. I have gone to lots of other claims, Nevada, Wyoming, and Calif., but it was Zortman Montana where I got some GREAT gold.Don't expect fancy, up-town style here. The Hotel rooms are nice but the bigger units like I stayed in are for hunters, gold miners, campers, and adventurers who love the outdoors. I will keep coming back here as long as I can!!

This is a great little place. It is not fancy but the room was clean and everything worked. Rooms have TV, coffee pot, microwave, and refrigerator. There are also trailers to rent with full kitchens. John and Candy are very nice. Lot's of prarie dogs in the area and some great hiking trails. John and Candy have RV spots with full hookups too. If you stay here you also get access to thier claims for gold panning. They have gas and diesel here at the motel. Propane and basic groceries down the street at the little store.

Took my family there for the weeked and had an great time there, John and Candy are great people, all the folks there are very freindly, the mountains there are beautiful. Theres a cute old church on top of the hill. We had a great so we will be back there again next summer.

The place is a dump. holes in every wall spider webs in every corner, no cold water in the bathroom, refrigerator quit and all our food spoiled while we out. No room service. Dryers don't dry your clothes. All decor is at least 20 years old. I could go on and on but I'm getting more and more upset.

I've been coming down and staying here the last 5 years for a week during hunting season. Great place and people with surrounding amenities. Can be a little spendy however.

We stayed in The Network part of the establishment, and it was ok. Its bare bones basic, so if you need to be warm to sleep, you better bring your own heater.
