We loved our stay! The breakfast was great (fresh local coffee) and the dining room is super cozy and charming. Cote was very helpful and kind - he let us borrow bear spray and set us up with everything we needed. The location is right across from West Glacier entrance, but pretty far from a lot of the big hikes. Don’t miss Belton Chalet for dinner! The rooms could have been a little cleaner.

Fantastic location. It's right across from the park entrance. Another 3 to 5 miles past the hotel, there are some terrific views that don't require going into the park. Just be aware that during the off-season you'll have to drive a while to get to restaurants. But the lower prices are worth it.The rooms are clean and simple in a way consistent with outdoorsy people. Everything was in good condition and the linens, mattress and pillows were above average for a hotel.WiFi is poor, but that is to be expected at this location. Most likely they have to use satellite internet, which is awful.Breakfast was simple but good, with enough to stay full for many hours.

If you’re looking for a hotel in West Glacier this is your place!!!! This was our 5th hotel on our trip to Yellowstone/Glacier National Parks and Glacier Guides was BY FAR the nicest room. We don’t have any complaints on our prior accommodations, however the lodge had a huge room, modern amenities, and a full sized bathroom! The best part was the TV and reliable Wi-Fi! We truly felt at home in the comfortable bed and the friendly service! The breakfast and hospitably was more than we could have asked for. Also great location to walk to town and see the shops! We will always stay at Glacier Guides and will recommend to everyone who visits West Glacier!

3.5 stars. I think my expectations were too high from all the glowing reviews. For the price we paid, I expected a bit more. We generally had a nice stay, but there were some issues:Since there was a section upon booking to note dietary restrictions, I assumed that meant the breakfast options would accommodate that (I don't eat meat). Unfortunately, 3/5 mornings the main breakfast entree contained meat. I'm not sure why they asked if it wasn't considered in the food preparation. There were some other breakfast options but they were fairly skimpy (hard boiled eggs, bread, yogurt, and some fruit) and I felt cheated not being able to partake in the fancy hot breakfast. We requested upstairs but were placed downstairs. I know they wouldn't be able to give everyone their first choice, but unfortunately this meant we were awoken by our upstairs neighbors stomping every night until 11 and 5am each morning. Not really the lodge's fault but it was frustrating. The good things about the property were the friendly staff, the very homey vibe of the place, and I loved that each room had its own little outdoor patio (unfortunately our next-door neighbor was smoking a lot near our patio). The beds were fairly comfortable if a bit soft (we are picky though). Wifi was spotty but we didn't need it much. I loved having 24/7 cookies and snacks in the main office/breakfast area. And it was nice being able to borrow their local guides/maps of Glacier for our hikes each day.I'd happily stay there again if the price was right.

We loved everything about this place. One thing better than the next. The setting is beautiful. The room is quiet and tastefully decorated. The lodge is perfect with service and food that make you feel at home. My only regret is, we couldn’t stay longer. I travel for a living and stay at Marriott’s etc usually with a view of the highway. And I want to Thank Tiffany, your friendly service was appreciated.

We stayed here for 3 nights while hiking West Glacier. We really enjoyed our stay. Our unit was very clean, comfortable and cozy. Room service was provided daily which we did not get in anyother hotel we stayed at during our 8 day trip. Delicious, filling breakfast was offered daily which we took advantage of prior to starting our days. Place was quiet at night. The best thing about the lodge was the closeness to west glacier entrance (less than 1 min drive from west Glacier village). Close to many restaurants. Only con was that it was difficult to find. Google maps takes you to Glacier Guides and Montana raft which is their excursion rental company. I’d recommend investing in a bigger sign! There was no one at the front desk to help us find the place upon calling for directions (front desk services are usually not there throughout the day but there is a phone # posted on the kitchen in case you need something). Otherwise would 100% stay here again.

We had a great 5 night stay at Glacier Guides Lodge while visiting Glacier National Park in early September. Our Lodge room was very spacious and comfortable and the breakfast and dining/community areas were lovely and well designed. We spent most of our time in Glacier NP, of course, but the Lodge was a great place to come home to and would be fine for hanging out on a rainy day. The housekeeper hosts we met while there were quite friendly and helpful and responded graciously to all our requests. It's in a great location just outside the Park entrance and in a quiet wooded area within walking distance of 2 excellent restaurants. Hope we can return some day.

Privacy, off the main road. A gentle warm gracious setting among the forest. Impeccably clean with a beautiful décor. The hot apple spice packets placed along side the coffee packets in the room were a delightfully delicious touch! Breakfast was wonderful. The staff who greeted us with charming friendship, made us feel very much welcome. Thank you Willow, Amanda and Tiffany You are all gems!

We had a pleasant experience with this lodge. It’s located right outside of the west glacier entrance. It was slightly off the road, so the passing train wasn’t an issue. The wall is thin though. We could hear the next door couple talking and laughing. The room is big enough for two. There was a small fridge in the room. The shower has hot running water. The room was clean. When Amanda was on duty, she made hot egg sandwiches on different breads every day for the guests. There were plentiful other items for breakfast. I highly recommend this place.

This was by far the most unique lodging experience I've ever had. I'm accustomed to basic 3+ star hotels with a view to the parking lot or highway. Glacier Guides lodge however is surrounded by trees and nature. You could hear the birds chirping and smell the fresh air through your opened windows. Everything is built with wood so it brings you back to a life before massive concrete jungles.Amanda was our host/manager and she was easily one of the friendliest and accommodating people to work with. I can tell she works really hard, and that shows in the quality of the experience guests are bound to have when they stay there. The lodge is literally 2 minutes from the west entrance to Glacier National park so that accessibility adds to the positive experience.I could probably go on and on about other things that make the experience excellent (breakfast, sitting areas, trail lunch, etc) but you'll just have to plan a stay to find out for yourself.

One of the best places we stayed in all of Montana. The staff was friendly, rooms were clean, great water pressures and a wonderful spread for breakfast in the morning. We'll definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks!

The perfect small lodge in the woods. Bright clean spacious comfortable room with locally crafted furniture and accessories. Very polite staff, downstairs common room for continental breakfast and upstairs relaxing in another room. Each room has outdoor seating area. 2 miles to west glacier entry. Highly recommend. So glad i found this place instead of inside the park zoo.

The best place in the entire world! It's right across the street from the west entrance to Glacier National Park in West Glacier. One of the only places still open at the end of the tourist season in October. We checked in and were given a tour of the lodge, including all of the amenities. They have a good breakfast selection available in the mornings, along with tea and coffee (and hot chocolate for the chilly nights!) available 24/7! There are tons of maps and guidebooks laying around for things to do around the park. Cell service is pretty bad, but they have a phone you can use to make calls, and a computer to use whenever you like as well (the wifi has worked great in the rooms too). The room was nice and spacious, very clean and just overall great. They even let us borrow some day hike maps and bear mace for our hike in the park and was given great advice on trails. Overall, this was an amazing experience with very friendly and helpful staff. The next time I come back to Glacier National Park, I'm most definitely staying here again. Absolutely loved it!

Lovely little lodge in a great location near the entrance to the National Park. Emily was running the show during our visit and she was terrific, gave us lots of valuable information and even lent us a can of bear spray and Off (lots of mosquitoes this year). Comfortable rooms, clean and spacious. I would imagine it’s hard to do better than this lodge if you are visiting Glacier. I forgot to mention there is a very good breakfast to start your day, which was tremendously helpful since there are not a lot of food options in the park.

Highly recommended! Everyone was friendly and it was great to have a hot breakfast option in the morning along with excellent coffee. We got to see several meteors while sitting on the patio, as a bonus. Hope to be able to join a raft trip and an easy hike on our next visit.

I discovered Glacier Guides Lodge when I booked a whitewater rafting trip with Glacier Guides & Montana Raft Company. We were only booked for one night because we wanted to explore the area as much as we could. But we loved the lodge so much that we decided to come back for a second night. The manager for our trip, Doug, was most helpful in telling us the hidden secrets of Glacier NP. He has been living in the area for over 20 years, so there was plenty of places we were able to see because of him. The beds were comfy and the room was cozy. The staff and other guests made you feel like friends and our stay that much better! I cannot say enough about this place! On our next visit, we will definitely stay here again!

What a beautiful little hotel. The room was more than comfortable, the breakfast just right, and the staff helpful. Very convenient to the west entrance to Glacier National Park, which made our ability to reach the park much easier. Perfect place to stay for a visit to Glacier.

I loved this place. I booked the lodge because I had already booked a backpacking tour through Glacier Guides so it seemed like a no-brainer. They run a great operation, I was able to stay one night before leaving for three days and another night upon my return. My flight didn't leave the next day until late afternoon—way after checkout—and they held my luggage for me at no extra cost or hassle. The lodge had friendly caretakers (Don and Amanda) and staff, a very nice breakfast, and super clean, tidy rooms. Plus, it's walking distance to many restaurants, shops and attractions but remains away from the hubbub of the park entrance just across the highway. I would book in here again.

Great place to stay with easy access to Going-to-the-Sun Road. The rooms were decently sized, though you wouldn't be spending much time in them being so close to Glacier, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the price was affordable. They are also one of the only lodging establishments that are pet friendly. Thanks for a great time Teal!

Nice beds, bath, and complimentary breakfast - coffee, eggs, yogurt, fruit, etc. The host, Emily, was extremely helpful with things to do in and around Glacier. No cell service, but Wifi is good. Plenty of parking and just outside of West Glacier entrance. Stayed 2 nights here and 2 nights in Glacier cabins and would rather have stayed here 4 nights and drove the extra bit each day. BTW, they loan out bear and bug spray. Rent bikes too.

This small boutique lodge made our trip so enjoyable! It is close to the West Entrance of GNP (just a few minutes drive). It is quiet, secluded, and surrounded by woods and wildflowers. Chirping birds greet you in the morning. Rooms are clean and up-to-date. Free Wifi with a good connection. Emily & Don were in charge during our stay and made all of the guests feel welcome. There is a free buffet breakfast which we enjoyed every morning. As traveling vegans, our room was made feather/wool free as we requested. They also provided us with vegan yogurt, soy/almond milk, granola, and Emily's homemade yummy vegan blueberry muffins. The buffet has a wide variety of choices for every lifestyle. Emily & Don knew guests by name, were very friendly, and full of helpful hints. The lodge also provided free use of "bear spray" that you just return at the end of your stay (saved us $50+). Housekeeping staff was just as nice and made us feel valued & welcome. On a side note, while visiting GNP (or any NP)...please take your leftover food/garbage with you...it really made me sad/mad/angry to see people toss their banana peels, etc. on the ground. The animals in any national park cannot associate humans and food...their lives depend on it...by feeding them, leaving your food/trash, or getting too close for photos, "selfies", etc...you are contributing to their death...wild animals that lose their natural fear of people are killed.
