Check in was “ok”. Rate didn’t match the website and we did come to a consensus.I should have looked in the room first…should have been $35.00Smelled like pot. Bathroom floor was sticky. Obviously wiped of mopped, but FAR from clean. Bathroom walls were painted with hair in the paint.Room 109.Feel free to contact me to discuss.Show me a better product and I’ll raise my rating.Rooms: Dated with potential.

Oh my word….floor feels dirty. No place to plug cell phones in so I resorted to power bank. Can’t shut curtains properly….bad condition of floor baseboard and many other things! Can’t get cool water in bath sink faucet. You can smell smoking, easily hear music, TV and talking. There is a floor fan I turned on so I could try to relax. It is bad but only motel within 23 miles!!!! Our door doesn’t have second lock inside. It is missing part of hardware. Bad condition!Safety: Not safe. Door opens from outside and no extra lock inside!

Wife and I came to Townsend for Christmas with family. It's been 2 years since we last stayed here; and the improvements being made are excellent. Some people don't understand the undertaking of a hotel; it takes time to get things done; winters of 50 below, staff shortages sometimes, it's a lot of work!!So to the owners and Virginia an staff: thank you for doing what you do. We enjoyed our stay in a clean and comfortable room, the neighbors were pleasantly quite. The bed was very comfortable and clean, the room was quite warm as was the water.I/we would rather stay at Mustang Motel than anywhere else.Keep up the awesome work you do...Walkability: Everything is within walking distance.

Virginia at the front desk was very helpful with suggestions for food and places to explore!! Her suggestions were excellent and we enjoyed our stay!This may be an older motel but rooms were clean and grounds outside inviting.They also have cabins with full kitchenettes!!Rooms: Only complaint I have about the room is NO a/c. Being from Texas this is a must for us. LolNearby activities: Beautiful park with lots of shade.Walkability: Close to grocery store and laundry.

Went there for my daughter's wedding. The room was okay, nothing special. My issue comes with the fact that both my sister in law and I used cards to pay for our rooms, and coincidentally BOTH of our accounts were hacked shortly after our stay. A COINCIDENCE...I don't think so.. So, unless you want your accounts hacked, I suggest you pay with cash if you choose to stay here.

Just a run down dirty noisy nightmare we got booked here through work. Would drive 50 miles to not have to stay here. Got woke up all night by TrainsRooms: Just an outdated and run down feet got dirty from walking on the floor no receptacles by the beds brick wall decor shower was disgusting

Was fighting fire and needed a place to stay, they agreed on $78.84 per night stayed for 5 nights. They charged me $95.04 the last three nights, tried charging me $250 for a cleaning fee, I had to get the cops involved in order to get my bill straight. Long story short I stayed 5 nights my bill should have been $394.20 and they charged me $998.84 for 5 nights. I would highly recommend not staying here, rude staff and just charge your card for whatever they want.

Just the most amazing management and staff. We had gone there for a dart tournament, and without going into too much detail about how the dart tournament was put on and ran, shall we say there were incidents which had been instigated by one or two other dart teams that the operators of the tournament had completely refused to address with them.As a result out of concern for a couple teammates personal safety we had no choice but to bow out of the dart tournament a day early.The staff and especially the manager at this motel are top notch!!! They did not charge me for the final night despite the late notice I'd given them that we will not be there anymore (I had only given them 22 hours notice that we're not going to need it for the final night).The rooms themselves had a very very very cold mini-refrigerator and freezer, microwave, and we're very, very clean.These are very, very good people in an absolute fun little town. If you're going between Bozeman and Helena or Three Forks and Helena, please stop by and give these folks your business!

Don't let the bad reviews scare you off or the atrocious smell in the lobby. The rooms in the "new" Corrall portion of the hotel are clean, comfortable and safe. There were no bedbugs. Bathroom and beds were clean. The kitchenette is adorable. I gave it 4 stars simply because it's not the Ritz. Checkin takes forever as everything is done on paper. It looks old and scary from the outside. But, I would give it a 4.5 for the comfy beds.

Warning... don't count on getting any sleep...its right next to the hiway where trucks use their engine brakes to slow down and the Railroad mainline . Get a room on the backside of the motel.Old hotel, bit run down, ok pricing. Had no room service. Pillows have to be folded in half, extremely thin. No air conditioner, didn't want to open windows to hear more noise. Only had one 115 volt outlet and everything in the room was plugged into that. (See pics)

Stayed there August of last year with my mother for a single night. The front of the building was very well maintained, nicely painted and had flowers in the planters. Around the back was a completely different story, dirty parking lot, chipping paint and looked to be in a state of general disrepair. Our room was not clean, I chased down a spider and destroyed two webs before I was willing to try to sleep. The security latch for the door was missing one of it's two components, we piled all of our luggage and the rooms chair against the door. The A/C did not work and never did despite talking to the office.I would not recommend this location for anyone no matter how cheap price of it is.

I think they try hard, AC didn't work. One outlet with a multi strip to run four different things, if you needed the microwave you would have to unplug the TV or the refrigerator... but it's a distressed little town and not much going on. No place to eat on a Sunday evening. Even the deli was shut down at the grocery store due to Staffing shortages. So sorry , but I wish them well.

Where to start. This is the only motel in Townsend. A fact that they like to bring up if you have a complaint about the rooms. The motel it self is across the street from the railroad tracks. Literally across the street. Yes, there are train that go by at all hours of the day and night. If you are looking for a good nights sleep this isn't the place. The bed sheets had cigarette burns and stains all over them. There were crumbs and food under the beds. The room only had two outlets. One located next to the TV which had a six plug adapter on it and another located next to the bathroom sink. The outlet with six plug had one that was burnt and slightly melted. It also had a surge protector plugged into that was covered in duct tape and was hanging from the back of the TV. I'm about 5' 9" or so and the shower head in the bathroom only came up to my chin. The complimentary bar of soap must have been really old because it had an off stale smell to it. The fridge and refrigerator did work and were surprisingly clean. You are honestly better off staying in Helena and making a trip in to Townsend if you have business there.

Newer paint on the outside. But Ssooo outdated on the inside. Beds are old, stained. Lumpy. might even have bugs!!! Keep your shoes on, carpet is gross. Tiny bathroom. Our room had only 2 outlet. Tv. Small fridge. Coffee pot. No pool. The male & female clerk's were very rude. Guys kept walking the allyway. Next to busy road & whistling train!!

I had one of the cabins and it is absolutely fantastic. Very clean, everything is provided. Plates, stove, ac, and full sized fridge. If your in the area I highly recommend the cabins

The room smells like a sewer, some of the lights don't work, it only has one outlet in the bedroom area with and extension cord that plugs in the TV mircorwave coffee pot and clock and the refrigerator, it took 10 minutes to get hot water to the shower. You can here the rain running down the furnace.IT IS THE WORSE PLEASE TO STAY EVER.

This place feels like a jail cell just with slightly comfier beds. The wall sockets barely held my phone charger the shower only stayed hot for about 5 minutes, the room felt cramped and it was waaaaaayyyyy overpriced!

I don't understand the crazies who wrote the other two reviews for the Mustang Motel! I have stayed there many times and found the place to be nothing fancy, but clean and the owner, Bob, to be nothing but friendly and helpful.It is the only motel in Townsend and the prices are far less than the motels in Helena and Bozeman.Try it and come to your own conclusions...I will stay there again; it has everything a traveler needs and feels very safe.

One electrical outlet in room. The refrigerator froze everything even on lowest setting. The toilet tipped when you sat on it. Curtains had to be safety-pinned because they did not close all the way. Room was way overpriced.

Got there around 5:30 AM in the morning really needing a place to sleep and rest. They wake me up at 12:30 to leave. I cant even enjoy the stay, not worth the money.
