The new owner Tim is awesome; there’s a little bit for everyone there; hair trimmers, fasteners, Milwaukee products, plants, vacuums, cutlery…I couldn’t ask for more.The previous owner ran it well to be fair; but the feeling of being followed by employees was irritating.

Came in looking for a basketball pump and needles. The employee was friendly and helpful. Fast check out. They accept cash and cards and gave me a receipt for my transaction. They also have a fairly large selection of cleaning products and equipment at decent prices. They also have a small selection of kids toys, bicycles, and sports equipment. I hardly ever have to wait in line when I come here to shop. At Hardware Hanks they have a little bit of everything.

Overpriced even for a small town, plan to pay up to 50% over other stores often. However they do have some things you can't get other places as well. Staff is always kinda bland, I usually leave feeling less happy unfortunately. But I will continue to shop there as needed and continue to smile.

Prices are decent considering location. Nut and bolt selection is lacking but when you factor-in the overall variety of goods it's acceptable. You don't get the highest level of customer service but no one is rude.

From Chester MT, we had to travel to Shelby, MT to pick up our Uhaul wagon. Luckily, the hardware store was close by, as I had made 3 seperate purchases, with 3 sperate trips, before we were able to cruise on back towards Chester.And yes, they had everything we needed each time I went.Super nice staff, great customer service, pet friendly !

Terrible customer service by staff. I bought a gallon of paint that was a reject color by another customer and half-price. Got the can home, had to use a vice grip to remove lid, and found can was completely rusted out inside. Elaine would not give a refund, even though she said they usually open cans to check them out before they're sold. This can was not opened and inspected, so I wasted $18. I've received poor service from other staff in the store who actively avoid helping customers with questions and products. I recommend going to any other hardware store in the area to avoid unfriendly and generally unhelpful customer service at this store.

A unique hardware store. Has a little of everything. I don't live there in Shelby, but I would shop there. Everything from toys, to cooking supplies, to hardware and if they don't have it, they can get it. Friendly people always asking if they can help you find something or help you find what you need to complete your job.
