Really nice place to stay but we were not informed about the pool being closed until we arrived. After driving 9 hours and passing multiple other hotel options, it was extremely frustrating. I hyped my 2 year old up for hours only to have to be the one to break her little heart. No compensation was offered, just a smart attitude when I asked why I wasn't informed the previous night when I made the booking.

So we are long time Best Western guests and stay all over in both the US and Canada , got to say we stayed in Shelby on Sunday the 7th of April , checked in 19:00 hours forgot the gals name at the desk ( she knows who she is ) we talked about pets and place to eat , she gets a 6 star out of 5 , room , ( I don't know what it is about people and pets in rooms , maybe they should sleep with them in a kennel ..... , ) just saying ! anyway room was great , location , breakfast , and for what you get , price was great as well . Yes there is mud around there , but something tells me they will fix ASAP , keep up the great service BW

This place is a gem!! Very clean and accommodating! Rooms are roomy and beds are comfortable! And the price is the most impressive!! We definitely would recommend this motel and will definitely stay again if we’re coming through!Rooms: Big and roomy and very clean!!

Very nice rooms. Slept well with no disturbances. Only suggestion, add another hot tub... never had a chance to soak as the 1 was full every time I checked.Nearby activities: Having a great dollar store within walking distance was nice.

This is a nice motel. Very well kept, very clean. Front desk person was responsive. Surprising to find a motel this nice in a small town but would recommend staying here. I was told the motel is about 10 years old but it has been kept up well. This is a 4 Star motel. If you are going into Glacier Park this is a much nicer place to stay then anything we found in Cut Bank or Browning and not that much further from East Glacier.

I booked this hotel last minute due to some change in plans. Shelby is closest to Two Medicine and Many Glacier area. Shelby is a very small town. There is a Pizza Hut and a convenience store close to the hotel. The hotel itself is very nice. It has a nice pool abcs we were welcomed with some cookies that Sandra made. Thank you Sandra ! This lady takes care of the breakfast also and is very nice. She does her job very well.The rooms are pretty decent with all standard amenities. The front desk staff was also very nice. Sec had a good stay in this hotel.Rooms: The rooms are very large and spacious. It has all the required amenities. The beds were very comfy.Nearby activities: Glacier National park 2 medicine entrance is about 2 hours from here.Safety: The hotel is pretty safe so no concernsWalkability: The general store is walkableFood & drinks: Not much options available except Pizza Hut. Chinese closes at 8 pmNoteworthy details: A shout out to Sandra who manages breakfast area so nicely!

The hotel staff is great. Check in went smooth. The rooms are big, spacious and clean. They also have a Corporate discount program. There is a pool, workout area, and business center...breakfast is big, and served at 6am to 10am. It's the best hotel in town... The location is within a short walk to a Dollar General store and downtown. Recommended!

My husband and I travel a lot for work and usually when we have to go to small towns I'm a little worried about the hotel situation. This is hands down one of my favorite hotels we have ever stayed at, it is clean, quiet, friendly and so well maintained. I telework and the wifi was fast and reached all of the areas I was working. Breakfast was 10 out of 10, I actually looked forward to having breakfast each morning. Gym was small but again was clean and well maintained. Laundry room was nice. Our room faced the train tracks and we didn't hear trains at all. The people that work here are genuinely nice and helpful, Best Western and Shelby really knocked this one out of the park!

Hotel was in great shape, staff were awesome! The rooms were huge, and the pool, hot tub and fitness centre were well maintained. We did hear weird thumping sounds from the room next door late at night and early morning. I think they had a dog whose tail was hitting the wall. Not the hotel's fault, and it didn't last long enough for us to have to call the front desk. The breakfast had a great variety, although the individual milks were a couple of days expired, and the "hot" foods (potatoes, sausages, etc.) were warm at best and tasted like they were cooked the day before. Still though, a nice spread.

This one right here is by far one of the best absolutely Sleepin suits I've ever stayed. Seriously, the pool and hot tub were freaking awesome! Clean with everything anyone could need. Down to handicap equipment. Every single stuff I encountered was so sweet, helpful, and wanted to do nothing less, but it made me comfortable and convenient. The king suite was amazing, great cable channels. Nice and clean and just peaceful. Also equipped with everything you would need for your stay. Just love that place and would go 100 times over again. Like even the breakfast and breakfast food that was available was the best I've seen by far. It's definitely worth every penny and an absolute must visit.Safety: Equipped with handicap equipment doesn't get any better than that at the pool side. Cameras at every entrance in stairwell.Walkability: It's not quite so much walkable, but it is to one of my favorite stores, family dollar.Food & drinks: Breakfast food is the best, the choices are really good as well.

Recommend staying here: YesOverall it was a wonderful stay. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.Rooms: The walls are thin so bring ear plugs to drown out the noise from adjacent rooms… but the bedding comfort and room cleanliness make up for the thin walls problem.Food & drinks: Well-stocked breakfast with clean tables and counters.Noteworthy details: Good location with fantastic views. Front desk employees Kayla and Danita were great! And, the cookies at checkin were delicious.

I stayed here on a business trip. I always stay at Hilton as I’m an honors member there. No choice this time.I hadn’t stayed in a Best Western in a long time. I didn’t expect much. When I booked I asked for a high floor and got the first floor. That was okay though.The staff was amazingly friendly. On my second night my room got refreshed even though I didn’t put the sign for that on the door, which I felt was positive.I enjoyed my visit there but the biggest negative is the WiFi. They need to take all the “high speed WiFi” signs down. It’s horribly slow and made working very difficult. Just a horror of a wifi situation.Everything else was good. If I’m ever forced to go back to the middle of nowhere in Montana I would stay again

Cleanest and Friendliest hotel I’ve ever stayed in!I travel for work nationwide and this may have been my favorite hotel experience. It wasn’t the incredibly clean room or the cozy bed (which is always appreciated) but the staff that makes this hotel sparkle. Their kindness was genuine and helpful. Each day of my 4 night stay they kindly offered to turn over my room or provide anything that I may need. The housekeepers always started friendly conversation in the hallways and elevators. The front desk staff treated me like family. Jessica provided helpful suggestions for food and Glacier sites, the staff woman in charge of breakfast offered to pack me a breakfast sandwich to go, and Patrick walked me to my room (and checked it) one night when I thought someone was in there (traveling alone)…. oh, and no one was 😆. All these acts of kindness were offered, not requested from me. But, my goodness I appreciated each one.I wish every hotel has staff that cared for their guests like Shelby Best Western. I’ll be back!

Very hard to get into the parking lot. Construction. PET friendly, hot breakfast. Tub had no slip surface and took a hard fall. Reported it to staff. 75 years old and thru out my back. Did not seek medical attention but had to cut our trip short as back pain isn't fun 1500 mi from home. No follow up from Best Western. ???Safety: As stated above, lack of non slip surface in tub, trip cut short due to back discomfort. Bummer!

Nice clean hotel. The pool was closed but they assured me they were working on it and will have it running in no time. Beds were comfy and the room was quiet. The night person called me and let me know I had left my running lights on in my vehicle. Saved me $200 dollars on a new car battery. Really great place to stay and the staff did a great job.

EXCELLENT service! The front desk was very helpful. They are very pet friendly. The breakfast staff were incredibly attentive. If the young man on the evening shift up front isn’t up for a promotion already - he should be! Glad to know there’s is a very clean, comfortable, and safe hotel stay so close to the border as we cross it frequently. Great job guys!

Just experienced the continental breakfast. Lady running breakfast really knows what she is doing. Lots of variety on menu. Eggs cooked perfect, bacon on Tuesdays and Saturday. Also the classics: ham, sausage, breakfast potatoes. Just a well rounded continental breakfast. The best meal that I have had in a hotel breakfast.

OMG, this was one of the nicest hotels we stayed at during our 10 day trip from Oregon to Yellowstone. We stayed at 5 total hotels and this was the nicest one! We booked everything the same day as we were trying to be spontaneous. The room had the basics; 2 beds, tv, side tables, but this one stood out because the room came with a side table where we had our breakfast and an extra roomy bathroom. The staff was all very nice, and helpful. The pool area was super nice! The room was heated and we had the whole area to ourselves, we were there for about 45 minutes. The breakfast buffet was very nice, it had fresh fruit, fruit cups, yogurts, pastries, oatmeal, hot food area, coffee and juice area. The food was varied, which was nice. We loved their seasoned potatoes! This was a beautiful, clean, quiet, and very friendly hotel and it made for a wonderful stay in Shelby. Would highly recommend!

I would rate this more like a 2.5 star rating. Reason being the pool was down and we were not notified till check in which was tough with 5 children. No ones fault the pipes froze I know but still a heads up would be nice when we had booked this 1 month in advance. Location is right next to the railroad but all of Shelby basically is. Cleanliness was good with clean beds pillows and bathrooms. Only thing that could use help is the shower heads which is basically caused by the hard water around here. Also the turn off into here could use some help but this could also be cause of the Marias healthcare that is being built next door. For the price I would say 4 out of 5 stars as all the other places other than the Comfort Inn are crack shacks and sketchy.
