Stopped here for lunch, it is a nice deli and small market with some hot griddle foods.Kids had cheese burgers and they were great. The buns were fresh and delicious! Fries were frozen, but fried crispy.

The locals kinda flock to this place, and though choices around here are few, I still think the food would draw them in even if they had more choices. They give you sizeable sandwhiches with plenty of meat, and my friend Lyndsay, who has traveled far and wide, says that the onion rings here are so far her favorite anywhere.Attached to this good food stop is a lil small grocery /convenience store, too. They are covering all your bases in this small town, and being super friendly while doing it too. 😃

We were on way from Montana to Seattle and found this nice and cozy place to serve our hunger. I ordered egg and cheese with hash browns and they were pretty Amazon. My husband ordered oatmeal with Jojo’s and they were pretty good too. Reasonable food. Very friendly staff, clean place and clean restroom.

Amazing breakfast. Everything was scratch made. Delicious proteins, perfectly cooked eggs, homemade jam on toasted bread that was made that morning. Friendly people, and a nice deli and bakery, to boot. An absolute gem in Plains, MT...

Don't let the the high ratings fool you, that was the previous management. New owners and it's not the same. He was rude and made me wait even though I was before the other people. My deli order wasn't correct either but no way was I driving 8 miles back to town so he could be rude to me again. If they are this way to all their customers, they won't last long. Hopefully it was an isolated incident but I'll not be going back.

Their sandwiches and burgers are real bomb in this part of Montana, plus they're run by the Mennonites or HutteritesI had the buffalo cheeseburger and it was delicious!!!

Simply amazing. By far, some of the best food I have ever had.! The menu is simple, but still a good variety. Everything looks to be locally sourced. Large selection of doughnuts, pastries and other baked goods. The staff is down to earth, friendly, and attentive. If you are traveling in western Montana, you must stop by here for a bite to eat.

AMAZING!!!!!! Had Buffalo bacon cheese burgers, onion rings, and fountain pop. It's been a long time since I had a fountain pop that didn't taste watered down or like co2. It was great. The Burgers were sooooo juicy the bun I believe was baked there ...just WOW. The onion rings tasted so good NOT like old overused fryer oil. Can't wait to take the hour and half trip for it again. They also had jams, sausages, etc.

Lived in Plains for a short time, and frequently ate at the Butchers Nook! It was always a great experience, with great food, and great service! With all of the dozens of "5" star reviews, you really have to wonder about the extremely small percentage of people writing negative reviews!

Best place in Plains for a good meal. Great owners and an asset to the community. Recently tried their $1.50 corn dog and it was fantastic.

This was my first time at their new location. The building is clean and spacious. I ordered the Reuben and a donut - delicious. It is exciting to see they are starting a weekly dinner - when I lived in the West Kootenai there was something similar, the whole town would show up to eat - great chance to build community.

Wonderful beef or bison and bacon cheeseburger! The bun was yum! Onion rings fantastic too! Caramel roll was life changing. Not too yeasty, just perfect. Tasted like honey, butter, and happiness. Beautiful taxidermy and the space was so big and nice and new! Super cool. Get over here and get some lunch!

My friend and I were driving through town when we got a flat tire. The Butcher's Nook was right next to the tire shop (Baldy Mountain Tire Shop). Their food is delicious and definitely has a homemade taste to it. Lots of sandwiches, burgers, fries, salads, and sides to choose from. They're only open until 4pm, so make sure you plan for that. But, it was delicious and I left there filled.

Best breakfast. The toast is so fresh maid daily. The bacon tastes like they just cut it right off the pig. Yummy. They make the best pastries too. You need to go early to get them cuz they sell out real fast like by 9am!

Great local spot for breakfast or lunch, with a nice little deli selection and the best pastries in Plains. Maple bars are a personal favorite as well as a local favorite. Make sure to pick up a loaf of their fresh baked bread, it is the softest and fluffiest you'll find.

Stopped here to eat while in Plains and this was an amazing experience. I loved the atmosphere as well as the food made fresh for me. The staff was so friendly I wanted to come back to try the breakfast I heard so much about but never had time to come back. Thanks for an amazing place to eat.

I stop here every time I visit Plains. I even stop by a few times for a box of home made doughnuts. Great food all hand made. I highly recommend the pancake... yes, start with just one. It will remind you of where the name "pan-cake" originated from
