This place offers an ideal winter vacation for young and old. We rented the five bedroom lodge for our party of ten (plus one happy dog!). The lodge was spacious, beautifully decorated, well-equipped and offered everything we needed. The beds were high quality and comfortable. The game room with pool table, ping pong, and loads of games was fantastic. We were even able to project a film on the big screen upstairs for our group. The variety of ski trails for nordic, skate skiing and fat tire biking kept us all as challenged as we chose to be. We loved the restaurant happy hour and the amazing pizza. Thanks Brett and staff for a marvelous time at Dog Creek!

Awesome facilities with so much love behind it for the Nordic dog loving culture.Gluten free pizza was GREAT even though it wasn't on the menu - one of the best crusts I've had in a long time and the pizza oven makes it extra delicious!!Nearby activities: Super fun skiing with the dog even with low snow pack.Food & drinks: Awesome ciders - the Vermont was sooooo good

I just had my wedding at GNP and our guests all stayed at dog creek lodge together. It was absolutely perfect! Brett was so helpful from start to finish. The property itself is impeccable! We had so much fun walking the trails, kayaking and canoeing on the lake. The lodge was even better than I could have imagined. So clean too! Everything was perfect. Loved having their restaurant right there too.

We stopped on to this cute and beautiful place. From the large property, they include rooms and small cabins very well done and modern. The restaurant has a full bar. Wood burning oven for pizzas. They stones for the oven are from Flathead Lake. The flour is resourceful and purchased from the local community. They have a large green house, which produces many of the toppings and additions to their menu. The restaurant is usually open Wednesday-Sunday. Check to make sure the hours. We ordered the specialty pizza. Which has cheese, basil, onions, tomatoes, and mushrooms. The pineapple hamburger and stuffed mushrooms. I had a cocktail at their full bar. Price was about average these days for their well thought through menu.

Stayed here the week of the July 4th with my boyfriend. I was visiting my boyfriend who works down the street. We both stayed at Dog Creek and were truly impressed. This was the cutest place to stay with excellent views. They even had a huge game room/ movie theater room. The staff were really sweet and so was the owner. The pizza there is always the best I had ever had! Looking forward to coming back. If you are interested in staying here, you seriously should! You won’t regret it.

We love stopping here on our way home from Lake Koocanusa, Stone Hill, Eureka and Canada. Good beverages and food. Friendly service. We love going here in the winter to Nordic ski and ride our fat bikes on their groomed trails. Of course we make sure to have some food and tea or hot cocoa for lunch. They have a heated outside patio for those who bring their friendly furry friends.Nearby activities: Snowmobiling is across the roadFood & drinks: Good burgers, salads and their pork chop is enough for 2 meals.

A Treasure with a superb staff. We spent the last weekend there with our dog and were made to feel extremely welcome even though the Lodge was still prepping for the winter season. We called at the last minute and were welcomed with open arms. Deb was proactive in reaching out to let us know space was available including for our dog. When we arrived we found a dog bed, bowl and towels outside the room. The rooms were very inviting and the beds made for a very restful nights sleep. Having morning coffee on the deck was so peaceful and great way to start the day. It is a short walk to Dog Lake and our dog loved the large field to run around in. We had dinner at the Lodge and Meredith was very helpful in checking us in and guiding us during our stay. Dinner was fantastic - fresh and a extremely tasty. The Lodge was our staging area for days of hiking as it is a short drive to Whitefish and multiple trailheads. We are making plans to return in 2023 as it is THE place to stay!!

Amazing customer service! We reached out to Dog Creek in regards to a multi generation family reunion. Brett responded QUICKLY and answered all of our questions. Gave us detailed information and was kind. We unfortunately were not able to make our reservation at this location as 3 of the couples in our group backed out, causing us to need a smaller accommodation. Brett followed up to see if we were needing any additional help and when I let him know that we would not be booking, he was courteous and not pushy at all for a reason or to try to make a sell. Even though we weren't able to actually stay here, the customer service at Dog Creek, specifically Brett, made a great impression! Would recommend this site based solely on their customer service!

Great place for dogs. Staff was very kind and polite. Clean unit, wonderful location, absolutely best coffee at the Cafe. Homemade food was very good. Easy drive to Whitefish for other meals. The Otter Unit is in the shade so probably very pleasant in summer. There were tons of flys in February. The paths to the parking, lodge and unit were unreasonably icy. Bring your own drinking water for yourself and your pets. The water out of the faucet in our room was brown. Soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer were provided in the unit. Heat was perfect and not loud. Units are not soundproof. There are little cabins as well that looked super cute.

My husband and I were in town for our honeymoon and cross country skiing was on our list of winter sports to do while in town. It was the first day of sun and clear skies so we definitely picked the right day to go. We were the only ones out in the beginning as it was a very cold morning but what a fun experience especially for us beginners. We chatted with the lady who worked the check in desk and she gave us some cool ideas and things to do while visiting MT but the best recommendation she gave us was to take a ski lift to the top of Big Mountain in Whitefish and have lunch at the top. We did this for lunch the following day and this was truly the cherry on the top for our honeymoon. I’ve never seen views like the ones at the top of Big Mountain. Thank you for making our honeymoon that much more special!!!

The grounds were really pretty, but they need help in the restaurant! When we ate here last summer the food was great and so was the service. When we went last week our curly haired, favorite waitress was not there and the food was just plain awful.

We are loving our stay here at Dog Creek Lodge! Well appointed rooms and very quaint alpine decor. Super comfy beds. There is a huge games room in a separate lodge, with tons of couches, games and space to hold conferences, or even an intimate wedding. The mountain views are phenomenal. We also enjoyed some snowshoeing on the beautifully groomed alpine trails. So many options on many miles of trails. Very well priced. We would highly recommend staying at Dog Creek Lodge.

20 Kilometers of picturesque XCountry trails on 80 acres of private land and state forest, amazing views of mountains, ski through meadows and forest, and across a frozen lake on green, blue and black level trails groomed regularly. We had an amazing wood-fire pizza with fresh toppings and tasty house-made crust and sauce, chased with hot coffee-bar beverages - made-to-order mocha lattes, hot chocolate, espresso etc. - between morning and afternoon trail runs. Breakfast baked goods also available. Pristine rental equipment and excellent personalized service by husband-and-wife team who live on the property. Competitive rates, some of which go to support the state park / local schools. They have lodging, including a large facility suitable for reunions, etc., which we hope to check out on our next visit. Discovered this mid-vacation to Whitefish for downhill skiing, and had to go back for a second day with more family members who had never cross-country skied but were able to find their groove right away on these well maintained trails.

First time xcountry skiing. I'm hooked--especially if all trails and vistas are like Dog Creek Lodge! Ponderosa pines, frozen dog lake and incredible view of Montana's mountains. Cozy cafe w/ tasty food and coffee. Rent your gear from the owners Maureen and Bill and hangout in their cozy cafe pre and/or post skiing where they whip up tasty pizzas and espresso drinks. You don't get much nicer than this duo and their breathtaking trails.
