My co-worker and I stayed at Bob's because no rooms were available in Lewistown. I'm glad there were no rooms there! Bob's is awesome! The rooms were nicely redone and clean. The bar and restaurant are awesome! Evan is a great bartender and the food... oh the food! My coworker ordered some calamari and it was the best in Montana hands down! I ordered some baby back ribs and they were HUGE! The sauce was incredible and the side of mixed veggies unique and delicious! I've been to K.C., TX, NC and tasted ribs all over the country- these rank in the top 5 for sure. Beats anything in Helena! My wife and I will be coming back this winter to recreate and stay at least a night or two at Bobs- you better have those ribs!!!!!

We spent three nights when we went skiing at Showdown and we had a fabulous time. Our room was updated, clean, and had everything we needed. The hot tub was fun and words can’t describe how good the food was. Janice, the owner, and the staff were all great! Not to mention it is so close to the ski hill. We’re only two hours away so we will definitely be back.

We made the trip up from Denver, Co to trek the well known Glacier National Park days to follow. We had reservations for an Air bnb closer to the park and needed a place to stay last minute after driving all day before we could reach our final destination. Easy to book, price was $100-200 less then anything else in the area for many miles or even having vacancy. The staff was unbelievably friendly and accommodating after such a long day. If we lived closer this little hidden secret/gem of a town and stay would be on the to do more often. Do yourself a favor and utilize this hotel if in need and are a ways away from the park still. The rooms are up to date and pleasant. Thank you for your efforts and helping us rest and recover for the rest of our journey. Yours truly!

We've been on a 3 week cross country trip. This was my favorite place that we stayed. The rooms were great! They were clean, well decorated and very comfortable. THE FOOD! We ate 2 meals in the restaurant and the food was fantastic both times. I want the chicken tenders recipe for my kids. World's best according to my 10 year old. Wonderful stay. Thank you!

Bob's is the perfect place to stay on a ski trip to Showdown. The rooms are cozy and reasonably priced. They all have wifi and smart TVs. It is so nice to be so close to the mountain the morning of and right after skiing. The restaurant attached is a diner with the most comforting food after a day at Showdown. The new owner Janice so sweet and is activate in everything that goes on at Bob's. I feel like if I ever needed anything, Janice would be there ready to help out. My ideal ski vacation is skiing at Showdown and staying at Bob's

We loved our overnight stay here! Janice and the bar staff were so kind and accommodating. Everything is simple and straightforward but with personal touches that make it feel homey and warm. Good bar food and burritos in the morning. Can’t wait to go back!

Need to have employees a littel more focus on the customers. I saw alot of guest sitting for a while and some just walked out due to waiting for so long to be served.Food & drinks: Took a long time to get service even at the bar. (Just wanted a beer).

Ordered a burger from them. The place was slammed and they still got my order to me right and fairly quick for as busy they were and the burger was great!!!

Our stay at Bob's Bar & Motel was honestly remarkable. The owner, Janice reminded us that there truly are good & kind people still left in the world. She was closed for spring cleaning & we called her at 930 at night looking for a room (we were planning to tent it but the weather made us change our minds). She said she could have a room ready in 20 minutes, greeted us with open arms when we arrived. The kitchen was also closed at this time but she was kind enough to offer us potatoes & onions so we could cook on our Coleman! The restaurant opened before we left & we had a fabulous dinner left in our room for us (as we didn't get back from hiking until after dark). The hot tub was the perfect temp and very relaxing with mountain views, the rooms have wifi so you can call and text while there! Janice went above & beyond making sure we were taken care of and our room was absolutely adorable! I highly recommend staying at Bob's Bar for an incredible experience! Lots of mining history surrounding the area, some nearby hikes, make sure you check out the INconvenience Store too! We definitely plan on coming back some day!

Great place. Good people working here. I really like their menu. It appears "basic" but the soup and specials are homemade. They make their own tortilla chips for their nachos. A lot is homemade. It's a nice local joint. The hotel is comfortable and Janice has worked hard to make it feel homey. It really is a great place to stay. You're close to Showdown Ski Area. Gobs of hiking, ATV, XC ski, snowshoe, and snowmobile trails. Walking distance to the Neihart Inconvenience Store if you need a trail pass. The Forest Service has an office up the street. Camp Rotory is close by. Bob's Bar and Motel is worth it's salt. Check it out.

Staying in an updated beautiful king room. Wonderful place to stay, eat and stay warm on a hunting trip. Staff is friendly and attentive. Our supper in the restaurant was filling and tasty. Love that the hot tub is open in the winter. They truly have everything....bar, gaming machines, restaurant, hotel, hot tub, and right next to the local grocery store and gas pumps.

New owner is doing a terrific job and the staff are very welcoming. The room was very clean and quiet. The hot tub is wonderful. The restaurant and bar are great. The location is close to Showdown for downhill skiing and Silvercrest for nordic skiing. It is a real gem and a wonderful place for a mountain getaway - highly recommend.

Service was pretty good. The decor is old fashioned and the dining room is a little crowded with tables. My husband's steak was good, but my prime rib was lukewarm. Sweet potato fries were very good though.

Bob's Bar and Motel is a hidden gem! Janice is an incredibly warm and welcoming individual who answered all of our questions and gave us great suggestions for hiking in the general area. We even got to experience Bingo Wednesday's and Janice made sure that everyone participating got to know one another. The food at the bar is delicious and we highly recommend the jalapeño poppers, they are a must! Bob's Bar and Motel is a must stay and we can't wait to return.

Most disturbing: at 10:30 pm someone with a key walked into our room while we were waiting for our son to fall asleep. Didn't knock, just unlocked the door and walked right in. When he saw us, he left. My husband went to the front desk/ bar, but it was already closed for the night. Since we no longer have the owner's home phone (I'll get to that in a minute), we now have our door barricaded. As I lay here, I can hear our neighbors TV (it is 11 PM). There is a man and a woman arguing upstairs yelling obscenities that I'm glad my son is sleeping through.Yesterday, I wanted to turn on the bed side light before putting my son down to make the room darker. The bulb was missing. I tried to call the bar but could not dial out. I tried dialing just the last 4 numbers. I tried dialing 9 first and got a message the number had been disconnected. I looked around for instructions to use the phone but there were none. So, I went down to the bar. The man didn't seem to understand what I was saying... I tried to get him to explain to me how to contact him if I needed anything else and he took the sign with the number written on it and never gave it back. He finally garage me a box of light bulbs and asked if I needed anyone to come install them for me (as if I was incompetent). As it turns out, I should have... I screwed in the bulb only to have the entire light assembly (shade included) fall over (not the part that sits on the table). The shower was a mix of too hot and too cold. The housekeeping made our beds but didn't empty the garbage of stinking diapers. It is dated and the furniture is cheap (although I can deal with that). It does appear to be clean otherwise. All in all, this is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to sleep, feel safe, and not have lamp shades attack you at random when they become unbalanced.

For a small diner in the middle of nowhere this place has an amazing selection of food and it was actually pretty darn good and the service was out of sight. We stopped in our way to Great falls and will be stopping again on our way back for the prime rib dinner on Saturday night.

Bob's bar is our home every June, they are easy to get along with, room is great and fair priced, food is very good and I can count on the Lone Ranger on the bar TV with my favorite beer! PS...... nice towns-folks too.
