I'll probably add a star once construction is done etc. The deli didn't have enough workers to cook and fill the cases. The prices are on the spendy side but I love all the gluten & dairy free choices. We were in the mood for ice cream and we love the brand Jolly Llama for their gf and df cones for my daughter.

I want to give a HUGE shout-out to Laurie, who is a cashier at Yokes at the Broadway location. She is an absolute GEM. I adore her and was so happy to get to see her tonight when I checked out with my groceries. Every time I go to Yokes I always look for her check-out station, whether she is at self check out or her usual number 4 😀. She is always so kind, lovely, and one of my favorite people to see at Yokes. What I love about this location is how neighborhood- community oriented it feels, and it’s because of the people who work there, especially Laurie. She always makes me smile, laugh, and puts an extra step into my day (or evening!). I often do my grocery shopping after a long day at work, and getting to see Laurie and say hello is something I look forward to. We have lots of options for grocery stores these days in Missoula - and employees like Laurie keep me coming back to Yokes on Broadway. Thank you Laurie for always making my long days at work a little bit better :) I’m so grateful for the light you bring to the end of my day!

The store itself is great. Lots of variety, reasonable prices….but I will tell you when I cringe every time Laurie is the only cashier available. She is the most unpleasant employee I have encountered. From clipping her fingernails at the checkout stand while ignoring customers infront of her to her incessant eye rolls and long sighs of disgust and boredom or whatever it is she’s angry about. She alone makes the store intolerable. I’d rather drive across town and go to Winco than shop here and the reason? Laurie.

Requires code on receipt to use restroom, and staff will not share code prior to checkout. I find this unacceptable, I would rather deal with dirty bathrooms than not be able to use the restroom on time.

I thought I was getting good fresh food, instead I got stale food that was overpriced! The cowboy cookies were stale so was a pastrami sandwich, double YUCK for the price.

I went here 10/10/2023 and i was surprised at the quality of the produce and meat. all the vegetables are misted which is a nice touch. tons of amazing organic vegetables that look HEALTHY not tiny. they had local organic washington? bartlett pears for 1.49 a pound absolutely delicious ready to eat i ate 4 today. best thing is the prices. its nice to go somewhere and not feel extorted. steaks are still affordable and meat specials as low as 1.99 per pound for pork shoulder. guys give this place another shot.

The groceries are more expensive . The staff is not friendly here . I only went there with a free coupon for ice cream . I like to shop on a budget with coupons and saving money on everyday groceries for the family .Gave it a try with 2 trips and the same outcome poor customer service with not welcoming and not friendly stqff must not like there jobs and higher prices quite spendy out of my budget make you not want to shop there

Going here for a few years. Except for the pharmacy staff and one male employee this location has some of the rudest unfriendly checkout clerks. They look miserable and are dead silent. Tired of having to initiate the hellos and how are yous. Will spend my money somewhere else.

Rude, trashy, employees, highway robbery prices, and low amounts of products at times reminiscent of a soviet grocery store. I boycotted this dump before Yokes took it over, and I must say, it hasn't improved whatsoever. I'll gladly drive across town to Winco to get groceries anyday.

I've been going here when it used to be Safeway. 23 years. Why so long? Because all of the Pharmacists are wonderful!! They know you and they are very helpful.

I had to get a special birthday cake at the last minute so I called and spoke with Mike in the bakery. He was super helpful, friendly and the yummy cake was all ready for me the next morning. (I think they generally like 24 - 48 hours advance notice - which is certainly reasonable - but Mike didn't hesitate to promise that the cake would be done in about half a day. He made sure he knew exactly what I wanted and delivered on the promise.) I also appreciate that this store is always adding new products like bulk foods and pre-packaged cook-at-home meals. The gas rewards program works great too and I love the fact that the store is locally owned.

Not bad. There aren't very many grocery stores in the downtown area and this one carries quite a lot of groceries. Take a pass on the chicken strips in the deli though

Nice selection of food, snacks, drinks, and even locally made things. A little pricey on some things but worth it for the convenient location. Chinese food in the deli is pretty meh but maybe I just get it when it's old. Bathrooms are always clean and staff is friendly.

If this place was supposed to be full of friendly, local faces, apparently HR missed the friendly part of the memo. Starting with the rude clerk, Rebecca in your gas station. Based on her rude and non-customer oriented behavior, I opted not to go into the store based on if she is reflective on who Fresh Market hires, I imagine the people in the store are not much better at being customer oriented than she was. When this was a Safeway, fuel employees were much nicer same with store employees. Just goes to show just because it is a local store does not mean they strive to provide good service. Some cookie cutter corporate stores instill a much better sense of providing good customer service than this "local" company ever will.

Really nice and clean. Cost more than your average grocery store. But not kid friendly, when my granddaughter asked for a sticker from cashier , (which she always gets at other stores when we check out ) she was told the store does not provide them and the cashier was out of money so she did not get one. The management needs to realize that taking care of customers children will be a deciding factor of weather or not to keep shopping at a certain place.

Totally fine for a grocery store. I didn’t think that the prices were much higher than, say, Albertsons. They have a wide variety of products.

Always has beautiful flower bouquets for a great price. Very friendly employees and always seems to have what I need. Plus you cant beat having the gas station right there after you've gotten your groceries.

MISSOULA'S BEST SUSHI! I really miss Safeway as far as the actual grocery store is concerned. But the Sushi here, is amazing!! Chef Joseph is almost ALWAYS there and willing to make anything if any of the pre-made options aren't up your alley. You will not regret trying this sushi. *slips in a puddle of my own drool*

Tearsa in the bakery does AMAZING work. I love that she doesn't just do the generic cakes, but makes each one a creative masterpiece! I will always buy my kids birthday cakes from her and the Fresh market bakery.

Passive aggressive employees. Halisha especially is a real piece of work. Save your money and your time and go somewhere else. This place should be unionized.

I absolutely love this pharmacy! Every single staff member always has a big beautiful smile and they all have an amazing sense of humor! Definitely helps take what would normally be a pain in the butt errand and turn it into a good time!

I love doing my grocery shopping here. The location is so convenient! They have great weekly ads. Sometimes prices seem a little steep but, the shopping experience is so pleasent, it is worth the difference in cost.

I have never had an issue with foods from a grocery store like I've had here. I'm especially disappointed because they have the word FRESH in the name. I have had to take products back THREE different times here. The first was some cheese that was a few months old, and when I went to pull some out of the bag it was slimy and wet. The second time, my boyfriend got food poisoning from some chicken nuggets. We ate the same thing that night, but I don't eat meat, so I didn't eat the chicken. Therefore, I did not get sick like he did. This last time I went to use some tempeh I had JUST purchased, and noticed it was a bit discolored. I showed it to my boyfriend, and he pointed out the expiration date on it was Jan 07 of 2016, ALMOST THREE YEARS AGO! I have no idea how that even happens.

The teenagers at the deli closed early because they wanted to party, when I absolutely needed deli items in particular for a dinner party. They pointed me out to "pre-sliced" meat and cheese. This is NOT what i asked for. Thanks for being there "neighborhood friendly store".#lazymillenials

Just watched that disgusting video on Facebook, racism at its finest, the employee is a poor excuse for a human being, shame on him for treating Native Americans in such a matter. Banned for one year????? For what? Being Native American? I applaud the customers for dealing with the issue without incident. Miigwetch from Ontario Canada

What will cost you a dollar anywhere else will cost you $2.50 here. Seriously cannot believe how overpriced you are. I will never be back to this store. Albertsons and Orange Street Food Farm have way better prices.
