I have been a dedicated and repeat customer for over 8 years. The quality of the products is second to none and clearly the best and most complete selection in Missoula.The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and their recommendations and ideas have had a profound and positive impact on the dogs I have had during this time. It actually all started when my previous husky lost all the hair around her neck and parts of her tail. My vet and others I spoke to really were as confused and at a loss as I was. That all changed when I happened to bring her in to the store one day and with a simple recommendation of trying fermented goats milk both my and my pups lives changed within a month! She regrew all the lost fur and some, and her coat improved. I have been a fan ever since and have been fortunate to try many of their products and follow their recommendations.I highly recommend them and cant say enough great things about them!

The staff here are SO sweet and SO helpful. My dog had stopped showing interest in her food about a week ago after being sick but then fully stopped eating over the last two days. They were able to point me in the right direction for what she might prefer and what her body would need. First try she ate her food and even in the parking lot. I feel great about spending my money here and supporting small local businesses. Thank you!! ❤️

I love this place and so does my dog! Kat helped talk me through a problem I was having with my dog. She didn't try to up-sell me on anything and showed me only what I needed and it worked for my dog! I now regularly stop in for raw goats milk refills and yak cheese bones. I highly recommend stopping in if you havent already...the building is awesome, too! :)

As someone who used to be in the pet industry, this store has quickly become my undisputed all time favorite!They have a wide selection of high quality, bioavailable foods with competitive pricing. Not to mention, they have the widest selection of freeze dried, dehydrated and raw that I have ever seen!My absolute favorite is how much Answers goats milk and cow kefir they carry, as they are always well stocked! I’m thrilled to see a store so passionate about pet health like this!On top of all that greatness, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and all have previous experience in the pet industry, so you can feel confident in the help they give you.Lots of toys and treats too for when you’re just looking to spoil your pup or cat!

Stopped in to get some quality food for a new puppy and Kat is an awesome employee. She is extremely knowledgeable about the nutrients that a pet needs to receive from its food. Her vast knowledge is very eye opening and I learned a lot. I will be definitely returning for more treats and dog food.

My sweet puppy was having some serious stomach/digestive issues and I was recommended here. I went in anxious for my pup and left feeling hopeful. They talked me through on how to have a healthy diet for my puppy and recommended some better dry food and goats milk for her. She felt better immediately and I have my puppy back! Absolutely LOVE this shop and all their employees! I have gone through thousands of dollars over the years trying to find a diet that works for my little adopted chihuahua. These guys have always been there to help me, they are incredibly knowledgeable- more knowledgeable that the multiple veterinarians I have seen. My little pup is so happy and healthy because of all of their recommendations, samples, & extensive knowledge on animals & various conditions that effect our pets. Plus, they’re beyond kind when you visit or call. Hands down my fave biz in Missoula. Thank you.

For quite a while I have been buying raw frozen dog food from the freezer in Petco. I thought it was a good quality dog food and easy for my old 16 y/o pug to manage without teeth! I stopped in to The Holistic Pet Nutrition Center to look for fish oil for itchy skin and was helped by Kat. (Chicagoan!) She has so much info on dog nutrition, ear issues, skin issues, hot spots and WHY these things happen. I found frozen raw kibble for exactly HALF the price of the box store brand and it's small batch, small family business from Oregon. I feel it's higher quality for half the price. The old man hasn't been having skin irritation since then. Kat is a great help and I look forward to going in here.It feels good to support small businesses. I'm doing that here with the store and also their great products.

I've had dogs my entire adult life and have shopped at many different stores. This is easily the best pet store I've ever shopped at. They carry wonderful products at reasonable prices and the staff couldn't be better: friendly, knowledgeable, genuinely caring. They also have a generous loyalty program which is great!Can't recommend this store enough. Best of Missoula, no doubt.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wow, wow, wow! We walked in, not knowing what we needed, but knowing our Yorkie needed a better diet. Stephanya was incredible, helpful and knowledgeable; they sent us home with a wealth of more knowledge and samples to get our Dog on the right track and correct her tummy troubles. So excited for our Dogs new healthy regime, excited to return to The Holsitic Pet! Such a wonderful, welcoming, uplifting experience!

The Holistic Pet center is something else, there really is no other business like them in town much less Montana. If you are serious about feeding your dog or cat the best possible, dry, wet or raw food available come on in. Every one of there employees is a nutritionist and they have a whole room devoted to raw food diet for your pets.

Kat was so amazingly kind and helpful! Her suggestion to switch to Zignature potato-free food has magically solved all of our pit bull-hound mutt's yeast and allergy problems. She even gave us over 10 small free sample bags to test it out. We were also very impressed with her and the Holistic Houndry's approach to ethical sourcing... We were previously buying Taste of the Wild until they informed us that it was owned by Diamond dog foods. They found that this company does not really care about food quality or dog health and thus they do not carry it (or Blue Buffalo) in their store. She suggested a price-equivalent higher quality food (FROMM) for our other two dogs, who are allergy free. Overall, this was the best experience and we are dedicated Holistic Houndry customers now! Thank you Kat!!!

Best place to find quality dog products in town. We feed our Chihuahuas fromm and they absolutely thrive on it. The houndry has every flavor they carry and many grain free options. The staff is so nice, my dog absolutely loves her. We will support these guys forever.

This used to be my favorite place to get my dogs groomed. Until last week 12-20-20I found out they do not require vaccines, in other words it’s 1 against the law 2 my babies caught something.They first called me to say they booked wrong and my 3:30 appointment could not happen. I was nice about it and just rescheduled for the following week. Then I realized my dogs 3 of them needed there boratella vaccinations. So I called and told them I’d have to take them to the vet and I had to cancel because they weren’t up to date. The groomer on the phone said we take animals without there vaccinations unless they look sick. I was shocked to hear this because it means there chances of getting bortatella would be even more higher.I said I’ll just cancel and take them to the vet . She then went in to try to punish me and said they would have to charge me for canceling if they could not fill the appointments. Funny after they canceled on me the week prior.I canceled because of vaccinations reason the health of my dogs that are my babies. I did love this place but no longer. FYI for the health of your sweet babies!!! I hope this helps, I wish I had known earlier. And- this is also called quick paws on 3rd street. Holistic must be a new or old name

We are so glad this place exists! Not only is the staff super friendly and helpful, but they were responsive to our pet food needs. We recently moved back to the area, and no one at the time carried N&D brand--which is pretty much the only thing our cats and dog will eat. We pleaded our case, and within a month they began carrying it! Total lifesaver.
