They are friendly, prompt appointments, pay very close attention to detail and hands down give the best customer service of any other locations we’ve visited. Our doodles love them too! This was an easy 5 star rating. I had the best time giving my Aussie a bath at this business, the raised bathtubs made it easier to connect with my dog while I bathed him; he was very calm. I was offered everything I needed to bathe him: towels, multiple brushes, oatmeal body wash and an incredible face wash! Very clean establishment, the atmosphere was stress free and calming. Top of the line staff! Excited to bring my dogs back there in the future. I HIGHLY recommend this business.

Leo and Sadie truly love going here. Leo gets groomed and Sadie gets a manicure and uses the self bathing tubs. I can not say enough wonderful words about the staff and how clean it is. They are always so accommodating. I love when I pull in the dogs are wagging their tail. They know where they are going. Leo goes to sleep normally while he is groomed he is so relaxed. Thanks Guy and your staff!!

Took both my dogs here for the first time because they had poor experiences at other places in town. The first thing I noticed was how calm my dogs were when walking in(other places they physically trembled and whined). The space is very clean, inviting and calm. The staff were so kind and welcoming. The timing was great and the dogs look and smell fantastic. Overall the experience was 10/10. Would highly recommend. I will be bringing my dogs back here again.

Central Bark is easily the best dog groomer in Missoula! Their staff is professional and very helpful with scheduling appointments, they always seem to have near term availability, and they do an incredible job with our dog, Scout, every time. Their grooming team is very talented and it has turned what once was a stressful “to-do” into something I proactively schedule and look forward to because of the exceptional experience.

Clean facility. Used the self service bay. Made an appointment but you don’t HAVE to. Friendly, competent, helpful staff. Groomers did the nails for me and they did a better job than I ever have! We’ll be making this a regular thing.

$19 per dog for nail “trimming” which consisted of removing just the veryyy tip of each nail. Website says $7 they told me $18 each but ended up charging me $38 cash for 2 dogs, total of 15 mins time. My dog was hanging by her neck off the table at one point as well, being strangled and I wasnt allowed to go pick her up so she could not be hanging. My dogs first experience with any grooming and it was traumatic enough she wont be able to be calm enough for another. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve used almost every self wash dog wash in Missoula, and this one is by far, the best! The place is clean and smells good, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. They have an extra large tub for my big dog, with stairs to get in, which is wonderful! You can adjust the temperature of the water (a lot of the car wash/dog wash places don’t do that), they have a great blow dryer, they offer great products and brushes to use for the bath, and they clean up the tub for you when you’re done! They really thought of everything, and it makes the whole pieces so much better!I’ve never used the grooming services, (my dog doesn’t need them) but I absolutely would in a heartbeat. I love that they have their tables right out front when you walk in so you know they have nothing to hide about what they do there. I highly recommend them for any dog bathing/grooming needs, they are great!

Self-service dog wash with big, fluffy, extra furry dog: Ala who was behind the counter was so helpful, really made the whole process less stressful and easier for me, with a bad back. Everything was clean, easy, soap was available, perfect brush and wet brush, great size tub, no bending required. She helped me when I couldn't reach under my dog and get her belly. Easy, good pricing, I will be returning. Ala really made the entire experience wonderful. My dog now smells so clean! The only thing I wish for is that the hair dryer had warm air coming out out of it, as I think my extremely furry dog would have dried faster that way. GREAT PLACE, thank you for being there!

Skilled groomers but unhealthy environment. They are very busy and do not have space for new clients, nothing wrong with that. Instead of referring you to another groomer in a polite fashion you will be treated with rudeness and annoyance by the owners. All the staff and groomers have been great no issues with them. Owner Sherry has major anger issues, her people skills are non-existent. Her husband Guy seems decent but overworked and exhausted. Would not trust my dogs to this environment. I interacted with Central on a weekly basis as part of my job and it was not a good experience. I was treated like an annoyance rather than a paying customer. I was always polite, I cleaned up after myself and tipped well. I recommended Central to dozens and dozens of dog owners in the past, but of course not anymore. I wish I had a recommendation, but I haven't had a good experience with any groomer in Missoula yet so I've just taught myself to do it.

We had an nail trim appointment this morning. We wrangled up all 3 of our dogs gave calming medicine to two of them and headed to our appoint only to find out the groomer called in "sick" . I asked why they did not call she said they did not have our phone number which is not true. They called is the last 2 times their groomer called in "sick" on a Saturday and also ask for your phone number when booking your appointment!. This is the 3rd time this has happened! She did say can you come back at 1:00 I advised her we had a funeral today and we could not. She offered no real apology, no sorry you gave your dogs calming medicine and drove all the way over here, sorry we did not call nothing it was very obvious their Saturday groomer does this alot and she is tired of dealing with it. We will be finding a place with consistency as we schedule things around our busy schedules.

I was so impressed with the staff. My dog has anxiety when she gets her nail trimmed and the groomer was excellent with her. He talked to her while he was working on her to try to calm her down. She endured it and came out with her tail wagging(almost). And they work well together!

Things have changed. Groomers don’t stay very long. Owners are rude. The last time my dog was in for grooming she ended up with trachea problems and coughing. They insisted nothing happened, but I had a big veterinarian bill, meds and vitamins. Not going back.

I’m leaving a one star review only because there isn’t a lower score. The owner canceled the day before my appointment. My rabies vaccination for my dog expired a week before the appointment. Even though my dog is nine years old and has been continually current on his vaccinations. When I tried to work out a compromise the owner told me to find another groomer. After waiting two months for this appointment, now my dog will have to wait an additional three months to be groomed by someone else. Shame on Central Bark for treating a beloved pet with such disregard. I would never recommend them to anyone.The owner, Guy was condescending and belittling on the phone. Shame on him!!!

We are not from the area but if we were this would definitely be our home groomer! They treated us and our dog with such respect and kindness! You can definitely tell they are dog people. 10/10 would come back again when we are in town.

You can tell that Guy and his wife really care about these dogs and their needs. I had a wonderful experience this afternoon! Guy spent the time required to get all the mats from my dogs hair and did so thoughtfully, humanely and delicately! My dog looks amazing and we will definitely be back. Absolutely wonderful experience! Alex and Guy were so kind, and Alex was great at communicating details on how to keep our schnauzer looking great between grooms. Its not easy to trust strangers with your pet, but they won me over quickly. Our dog seemed to feel the same! Thank you so much! We wont be trusting anyone else with our dog-this place is fantastic.

I have three standard poodles that Alex has been grooming for a number of years. In addition to making my dogs gorgeous, he is wonderful with the dogs and they love him. This is no small feat; poodles take a fair amount of effort to groom correctly and he spends the time to do it right. I have never had a clipper burn or nail cut into the quick. One of my dogs is 13y and Alex is patient and gentle with him. Alex always asks how I want the dogs cut and then does as I ask. Everyone at Central Bark is friendly and helpful. The shop is super clean and smells good. Very professional. Excellent service!

New to town, have two goldens, got their name, dogs went in the other day. Five stars for sure!Everything about the actual grooming and bathing was top notch. No more clumps or knots. Fur shaped nicely, feathers clean, toe sprouts gone. Best of all they must have removed 5 lbs per dog of undercoat. Pet one now, you don’t get a handful of hair.Our older dog is beyond a handful - nervous and excitable and a pain in the you know what. Whatever they did to keep him calm, it worked! They swore he was not a problem and when I picked the dogs up he was indeed comfortable and mellow. Amazing!The owners and groomers were both friendly and professional. Prices were reasonable too. Overall it was clear we do NOT need to try another place.

Absolutely wonderful!! I am thrilled with the opening of Central Bark. Not only because I finally have a groomer close by my residence, but the owners possess a wealth of knowledge.I’ve witnessed kindness, respect, and genuine care given to all who walk in their doors, whether they have paws or feet.Their willingness to share information and learn all they can about a pet is inspiring. This level of individualized respect 😀and communication, with regards to a product/ service or staff support, Is almost extinct.My mother took her two little chihuahuas and was full of praise at how genuinely nice the staff is and therefore referred me.By the time I brought my “antique” Golden Doodle in for a nail trim, I heard many more great reviews about Central Bark from random community, Pet parents.
