Lots of selection of fish for both saltwater and freshwater tanks. My family really enjoyed looking and the fish and choosing some to add to our own tank. Not even in the same league as the big chain pet stores in regards to fish. The owner really knows what he's doing, the fish are very healthy, we've had a 100% success rate in adding fish to our own tank from Blue Reef. Its a great fish store.

I’ve had great experiences with this store. I’ve never had a single problem with these fish only fish bought from petco and pet smart. Very easy to work with, He will try hard to get you the best deals as well. Over all very impressed with the cleanliness, health, and guarantees you pay for.

Stopped in to finally check out the new local fish store, and was not disappointed! Friendly, clean, knowledgeable, and very happy to help - and this isn’t even getting into the great selection of freshwater fish, and the ASTOUNDING saltwater section. I left with everything I’d hoped to find and more, and considering how challenging some of these things were to source locally I was very pleased. The big box pet stores can’t touch this! The prices are naturally steeper than you’d see at Petsmart/Co, but it’s worth the extra dollar to support a passionate locally owned business. If you’re hoping to get started with your first real aquarium, add some impressive new fish, or wanting to jump back in to the hobby, I’m telling you now, THIS is where you should start.

If you are looking for anything aquarium related, I highly recommend checking Blue Reef out. The owner is extremely passionate about what he does and can answer just about any question you have. He has both freshwater and salt water fish, as well as lots of plants and coral. There is a wide range of prices so you're guaranteed to find something that works for you. These fish are much healthier than those you find at the big pet stores in town. New fish come in every week, and if there is something he doesn't have, ask and he can most likely get it for you.

You can get some great fresh water live plants here. Along with some beautiful fresh water fish. But what is amazing is how many salt water corals he is growing, he must have some great knowledge and experience on what water quality and nutrients are needed to grow them so perfectly. If you have any aquarium interest it's a must see.

After being the saltwater hobby for almost 2 years, Blue Reef Coral in my own personal perspective is very professional and friendly atmosphere. Always excited to see what new corals the shop has every month. Had several question and they was able to answer all of them and more. I am new to this hobby and have been in search of as much information as I can get. Being located in MT there is not much for local stores that specialize in saltwater aquarium start up and maintenance. Travis at Blue reef coral has been a huge help! Honestly some of the best customer service I have every received! Always willing answer questions and tell it to me strait. He is not there just to push products and fish. He asks the proper questions about the status of your system and then gives his recommendation on whether or not you are ready to move on. That is exactly what I needed! Thank you for all the help!

Love it! Way more selection than previous store, the new building on Palmer street is going to hold so much more product. I can’t wait for the exotic freshwater selection in the near future. Everything is for sale, great prices. Travis is super passionate about this hobby and has so much much knowledge and never makes you feel dumb :) we were buying a lot online before he took over but now we always go to him.

Travis has a real passion for salt water and that's obvious. He is knowledgable and just says it like it is. He's gotten me back into salt and has some of the coolest fish and corals I've seen in this area. The Blue Realm, back in the day, couldn't even compare to the corals and fish I'm seeing now. This is a new business and seems to grow and get better every time I stop in!

Since Travis has taken over, the shop seems “alive” again. A lot of time and effort has been put into making the shop more presentable and inviting. Travis is very knowledgeable and refused to sell me a fish with a bacteria infection which. The coral additions have been a nice touch as well
